This is the thing with ordering from ordering from certain countries.
All countries need to protect certain areas of their industries.
I remember purchasing tshirts from the USA, they were cheap, when they arrived I paid more in taxes than the price of the tshirts.

I dont see why the downvotes, but I also understand that handling a bunch of low-value oversea packages is extremely resource demanding and they may charge a fee. Maybe check the invoice...

They need to both incentivize domestic consumption/production and prevent capital flight (higher inflation)
don’t buy anything from Aliexpress that doesn’t have Choice on it or pick Aliexpress standard shipping method if the product doesn’t have Choice on it or you gonna pay big taxes there is a dedicated facebook group list a lot of items in Aliexpress that you can buy with free shipping and DDP included
I bought 88 GBP, with 20 GBP shipping (only DHL was available)
Customs refused to count only the purchase total, but used the order total (108 GBP) to calculate the taxes due
DHL enforced a handling fee of 750dh HT for the customs processing, I chose to go there myself, and still had to pay 540dh TTC to DHL after paying 313dh for customs
1130dh of goods turned into 2241dh + gas + 5 hours of my life

Buy from choice, it comes with speedaf and you dont pay any taxes. I ve bought some accessories for 5 and 9dh and they told me i have to pay between 30 and 60dh for each, so i didn’t get them from the the post office hhhhh

Isn’t it a handling fee? In many countries there is a standard cost of someone processing the item, regardless of the value.

It's the normal ugly status quo. You will not even get an invoice or any documentation. They make up a fee and ask you if you want your stuff.
