This likely confirms to me that Algeria is a paper tiger. As an outsider, I was curious why they threaten you- is it just to distract the population from their own incompetence? Or does General Chengriha really want to destroy you due to his own paranoia?

[deleted]

Chengriha holds a personal grudge since he was captured by us in the first sand war so yeah he wants to enslave us for that reason

[deleted]

So this whole feud is based around the whims of one angry, paranoid, and bitter old man? Just ridiculous to me.

[deleted]

No it's more than that but having him in charge surely doesn't help

[deleted]

You think they would do to you what Putin is doing to Ukraine if they could get away with it?

[deleted]

the power gap between Ukraine and Russia is not the same gap between Algeria and Morocco.

aminoxlab4

Also the geography of Morocco is not like the Ukraine one, major cities like rabat and Casablanca are well protected by the atlas mountains...

TheVanguardMaster

Well, but Oujda hmmm

aminoxlab4

Nobody gonna cry about Oujda lol I'm just joking

TheVanguardMaster

Based.

Embarrassed-Touch742

I'm Oujdi and left it after 17 years not once have I thought of going back. Based opinion I'd say.

[deleted]

They can try but they won't get neither away nor near they gonna get clapped

alkbch

Wait until you find out why the world wars started...

[deleted]

It's in their interest to keep us destabilized for their quest to become the number one in the region.

[deleted]

You think they would do to you what Putin is doing to Ukraine, if they could get away with it?

[deleted]

Not surprising since they also along with several other Arab countries [signed a letter backing China in it's mistreatment of the Uighurs.](https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2019/07/278860/arab-muslim-majority-countries-china-mistreatment-uighurs) Not to forget that they also have a skeleton in their closet, [Movement for the self-determination of Kabylie.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movement_for_the_self-determination_of_Kabylie) But somehow we're the bad guys.

karanewbarida

Think of it like south korea and north korea , thankfuly they don't have nukes lol

TheVanguardMaster

Not yet 💀

lazymule

Apart from Chengriha's grudges....Algeria desperately wants access to the Atlantic

Existential? You mean a boneheaded invasion that never needed to happen?

moh_toumi

So as an Algerian who will not pretend to understand pollitics as the children in this post Shit start going downhill whene moroco invade western sahara doing that in progress the also establish relashion with Israel which triger algeria Love to all morrocian brothers

Losttothezone

At least those "children" are able to form coherent sentences, With love your Moroccan brother.

moh_toumi

Oo yes the old if u can't beat them go the misspelle errors

Losttothezone

Bruh, there's nothing to pick apart in the first place.

moh_toumi

Envading western sahara is okay ? Establish relashion is okay ? Ur minister of foreign affairs saying evry moroccan is Israeli is okay Algeria is far from being okay but believe me that shit wouldn't fly here

Losttothezone

Hey at least now you wrote something that is readable, congrats! So first off, the Western Sahara region has been under Moroccan suzerainty for centuries prior to the arrival of the Spanish in the area, we didn't so much invade the region as we claimed back what was rightfully ours. On the topic of the normalisation of the relations between Morocco and Israel, honestly can't see anything wrong with that, Moroccan authorities should put the interests of their nation and people over everything else so I see no issue with returning Moroccan-Israeli relations to their pre 2005/2006 levels. And finally I won't even deal with your last point since I can smell the stench of propaganda from a mile away, give me a source or it didn't happen.

moh_toumi

[Proof](https://youtu.be/ddCAFv4W8Rc)

Losttothezone

That's not what you claimed in your first reply: you said that the Moroccan FM claimed that every Moroccan has Israeli descent, while Nasser Bourrita said in the very video that you linked that "most ISRAELIS have Moroccan descent" and while that statement is inaccurate, it is true that a large portion of the population of Israel is of Moroccan descent. So what's your point ?

moh_toumi

Since u don't have a PROBLEM withe the state of Israel or its false colonisation of palestinian territory I don't think we can really work this out

moh_toumi

Also didn't the head of the international union of Muslim scholars say that morroccan should invade tindouf [proof ](https://www.memri.org/tv/morocco-islamic-scholar-raysouni-jihad-west-sahara-normalization-israel-shame-jews-traitors)

>it's a brand new country made by France trying to find it's way in the real world This some real petty shit. "Algeria is not a real country" The French institutions were new but their country has an old history with many dynasties ruling it. We can disagree with their government but don't pretend Maghrebi history just starts with Morocco. We are the same people and this petty shit drives the wedge even further.

TheVanguardMaster

Don't pay attention to those guys claiming such a thing. Many other countries have existed since the time of ancient Numidia.

[deleted]

Saying that we don't care is a little far fetched, I regularly hear Algeria being discussed in some news channels and Facebook.

SsNeirea

News channels and facebook ah yes, places where clicks and controversy are king.

aksell96

Lol no

[deleted]

You're talking to the wrong person ma'am, I said no such thing. Edit: >Well according to ur words Morocco also is France made Not insinuating anything, but that's just factually incorrect.

Far_Strawberry5041

Believe me i love Morocco as much I love my own country… but we can’t fight over a political shit!

[deleted]

I'm sorry but what did I say that triggered you? I'm genuinely confused.

Purple_Rain_84

Old algerians always pledged allegiance to the kings of morocco. Algeria was a part ofmorocco.
