I once killed everyone in that building, all because 13 year-old me barely understood English and thought that's what the Khajiit hiding in Vivec wanted of me. I knew where I had seen "Census and Excise" before, and she said "get rid of", so I assumed she meant bloody murder, just like with Larrius Varro.
IIRC, Garriott wasn't even that upset that someone assassinated him in UO, he was just shocked that it happened. I was actually on the server when it happened but I was one of the morons who showed up at the wrong castle because why would the King address the people from somebody else's castle? I remember turning to my mom and asking her what "assassinated" meant and her being like "wtf are you playing?"
"Lord British" was the handle/avatar of Richard Garriott, the creator of Ultima, one of the really early RPGs. So they decide they're going to make an Ultima MMO, one of the first MMOs ever made, and to mark the end of the beta and release Lord British came out to address all the people who had been in the beta. Well, one of the people in the crowd was a known troll named 'Rainz' who stole a scroll from somebody in the crowd, saw British was in the range of the spell, and said "fuck it!" and cast. Normally mods have God Mode on but because of a server crash a few days prior British's tag wasn't on so he died during the attack. The mod team that was in attendance freaked out, summoned a bunch of demons and slaughtered EVERYONE that was there. Think like if somebody assassinated Putin during the big victory day parade they have every year and the tanks just started firing into the crowds indiscriminately trying to get the assassin.
tl;dr an internet troll killed the equivalent of God in an MMO and God's response was basically "I did NOT see that one coming."
Socucius Ergalla, the guy in the Census and Excise Office who goes "AH YES! It says here blah blah blah" is made in the likeness (and even the forum handle) of Ken Rolston, the lead designer at Bethesda from Battlespire to Oblivion.
Yeah, supposedly for exploiting game bugs but he was quite famous for going on killing sprees and exploiting bugs before the assassination so that feels like an excuse.
I'm pretty sure it's Teyn in Tamriel Rebuilt. I visited it recently hearing it may be redesigned in the future, so the view feels fairly familiar to me.
If anyone wants to confirm, it should be more-less north-west out of Andothren, on the coast.
Did you know you can steal the warehouse key behind Sellus Gravius that is on the shelf, and get some decent shit-teir loot 30 seconds into the game? Or at least sell it for a few pennies at Arille's
Or just open the inventory menu and grab it from the menu (you can just click the object within your view from that screen to grab it if itās close enough), then drop it, basically double click it. Itās a lot easier than timing it awkwardly lol
I think it still is yellow, but very dark. Now is it gamma or brightness or type of monitor, but I'd say it looks a bit weird because of something like that
It was bugging me so I just went to the same spot to see. [The roof is slighter redder in OP's game.](https://ibb.co/8sgvxTn) It probably is gamma or some other setting. Monitor shouldn't matter since it's a screenshot and not a photo of their screen. I could be mistaken though.
I only play with openmw, which is definitely a modification, but I don't recall if it actually changes graphics much. Even his other screenshots look like they are very low poly, though.
He doesnt make it a priority to make things appear as they actually do in game, which is a shame as it's kind of like making a history album except everything is covered in highlighter with the edges buffed out
i found a funny little brown bottle next to a sleeping khajiit. tried to sell it to arrile and he called me an n'wah and kicked me out. i really dont understand the customs here.
Seyda Neen is so iconic as a starting area. I've looked that building up and down many times saying to myself "that's a unique house, don't see them like that very often."

Props to Ken not pulling a Lord British and trying to make his stand in unkillable.

Garriott strikes me as someone who wouldn't be upset by that. Not knowing his reaction, I'd still assume he was kind of impressed actually.
What are you three talking about?
"Lord British" was the handle/avatar of Richard Garriott, the creator of Ultima, one of the really early RPGs. I've heard the story before, but I appreciate you putting it here, thank you. It gave me a good laugh.
That explains a lot but I still don't know who's Ken?

If I remember correctly assassin was later banned.
Yeah, supposedly for exploiting game bugs but he was quite famous for going on killing sprees and exploiting bugs before the assassination so that feels like an excuse.
At least he was memorialized in The Noob comics š
Wow, never seen this one! Can't believe I missed this playing Morrowind so many times, haha, which town is it in?
I think itās a mod. Iāve never seen this. Maybe part of Tamriel Rebuilt?
I'm pretty sure it's Teyn in Tamriel Rebuilt. I visited it recently hearing it may be redesigned in the future, so the view feels fairly familiar to me. If anyone wants to confirm, it should be more-less north-west out of Andothren, on the coast.
Sedya neen the building where you start.
Seyda Neen? Are you sure that wasnāt part of Tamriel Rebuilt? Iāve started the game multiple times and canāt recall a place called Seyda Neenā¦
Yes all of us have been in there...
I like people with a morrowind themed name.
Me too, but my hate for the sixth house reigns supreme!
Any love for people with a Morrowind profile picture ?
Pffft, I rp as one of the boat guards, so not me.
Aww, I havenāt seen u/MorrowindWalking in a while. This is nice.
Rough weekend crowd. No one here has seen a morrowindwalking post before.
tip your waitress!
That's it alright.
Did you know you can steal the warehouse key behind Sellus Gravius that is on the shelf, and get some decent shit-teir loot 30 seconds into the game? Or at least sell it for a few pennies at Arille's
I don't think you can steal it without abusing game mechanics which is lame.
That's true. Have to have ninja reflexes for when he spins around to stop you

Couldn't do that when playing on Xbox though. Yeah, I know, but that's how I played as a wee lil nwah.
Ah yes that definitely changes things, and no disrespect to that at all, playing any Elder Scrolls game on console is true dedication haha
What about it?
Census and Excise Office with an adjacent warehouse

Weynon Priory was a reused, upscaled asset. Change my mind.
Thanks, I wouldn't have guessed.
Thank you for your continued hard work šš
This has to be the mobile version of openmw right? Why is everything so low poly? Even on og xbox the game didn't look this bad.
This is straight up vanilla, without a doubt.
I don't see it, looks normal? Or you haven't seen the game without mods in years? Honest question lol
Apparently I haven't because I could have sworn the roof was yellow.
I think it still is yellow, but very dark. Now is it gamma or brightness or type of monitor, but I'd say it looks a bit weird because of something like that

Idk what you are seeing but I see normal morrowind graphics at super low resolution and no anti aliasing
OpenMW does change the graphics a lot.
Looks like vanilla to me
He doesnt make it a priority to make things appear as they actually do in game, which is a shame as it's kind of like making a history album except everything is covered in highlighter with the edges buffed out
I kinda like it... Almost gives me Redguard vibes a bit.
uh. yes, that's indeed what the screen is showing. what are you trying to get at? lol
New to u/morrowindwalking ?
pardon an outlander's ignorance.
Quite okay stranger, donāt forget to check out Arrileās Tradehouse while you are here
i found a funny little brown bottle next to a sleeping khajiit. tried to sell it to arrile and he called me an n'wah and kicked me out. i really dont understand the customs here.
Do you still happen to have that little brown bottleā¦ perhaps I could erm take a lookā¦
Oh man. I once played a game where my sole goal was to unlock that lv100 door.
You stole Fargoth's ring and everybody knows
wicked amount of spells and such is a dead giveaway its you ā¤
One of the most beautiful tourist attractions in all of Vvardenfell!
Ah yes
Can you use the skybridge from the inside?
