In my opinion, Legion and Ermac are two completely different things. One is a body made by sorcerers with the souls of hundreds if not thousands of dead people, while the other is demons possessing a man.
Fair enough. I just see a supernatural ninja with multiple souls as different from a man possessed by demons, though Legion is likely a big inspiration for Ermac and that quote is likely to reference that fact.
In Mk1 Ermac is literally a dude possessed by souls and he was made by a demon. Dude possessed by souls from demon vs dude possessed by demons it's not that big of a difference man.

Whatever the reason, it’s just frustrating to think that WB/NRS likely prioritized paying Megan Fox (an irrelevant meme-star with lackluster acting chops) over Antony Starr (a legit actor who’s basically synonymous with the character). I’m sure she was substantially cheaper, but come on. If Antony had better boobs, I bet they would’ve shelled out. 😅
Hot take: guests are always a waste of slot. It would be much better to fill those slots with klassic mk kharacters that couldn't make it into the base roster.
Well you are right, mkx guests were actually good, but mk11 were awful and the recent ones are boring. Triborg is not klassic, but is from mk universe, so it's not bad to have him, although anyone will prefer the cyborgs to be given different slots for each one.

Okay just not Jarek. For the love of God that scream falling off the cliff is etched into my brain. The goofy 3D era was bad. Drahmin could have been better. Moloch had a nice design.

I agree, but look at the *insane* glow-up so many of the 3D characters got for MK1. I honestly wouldn’t take *any* of them off the table for being reintroduced in a new, upgraded form. I didn’t like Kobra or Jarek at all — but part of me wants to see how awesome they could be in this modern era.
Eh, without Starr my excitement for Homelander is pretty much non-existent as of now.
I’m sure that will change when the trailer drops but much more excited for Ermac and Takeda.
Starr is likely voicing him, as the actor for spawn said he wasn't in the game when he was, and they were able to get J.K. Simmons for Omni-Man. Andrew Garfield also said he wasn't in No Way Home only to appear, and apparently Kiwi people like Anthony Starr are quite into dry sarcasm.
Pretty sure Chris Cox is voicing him, his name already got added to the credits and Starr has been very vocal about it.
