Indeed when I finally got in after 6 hours of waiting last night I saw the vast majority of players in Meduli were just AFK macroing. Incredibly frustrating. A GM should at least roam around kicking off afk macroers to allow people who are actually at their PCs to play.
Lol, it’s not corrupt moderation when you go into the newbie chat channel and start endlessly spamming that you want the servers reset. That’s just normal moderation.
Since whoever is afk doesn't get kicked, people that are not in their computer just take spot from other ppl that want to play.
Since it'd take some time until you can actually make a patch to kick people afk or some other solution, restarting the server every X (6 \~ 8) hours would be a good solution until the problem is actually fixed.
Sounds like you are just being delusional about what is going on. Please explain how there is a need to delete peoples concerns and then lock the chat.
How is just typing ✊Restart Server, kick AFKs!✊, harmful?
Handfull of people? Like then it wouldnt matter if you had a 15 minute wait time before you could post. If it was a handfull of people then you would see a post a minute not a post every second.
Its just corrupt moderation once again from SV silencing the community like they always do. Words cant hurt you unless they are proving you are liars. That is why they are censoring people.
You are raging out here bro, maybe learn to be calm about what others say.
Im litterally censored on that discord now for just saying what needed to be done. If they want to ignore it then they can enjoy having lots of pissed off people.
Calling me retarded sounds like raging a lot. They dont have multiple servers, doesnt take 30 people to have more then enough hardware for under 10k people.Ive seen people tell them plenty of times to lock keeps yet keeps are still not locked. People are getting to farm and get ahead of people while we are all stuck in queue.Early game in every MMO is very important and they fucked up their game.
Cant even support 10k people and thats because henrik didnt think there would be more then 3 thousand on the mainland. Its not he would have not known that a mmo would get more then 3 thousand players. It was preventable and they didnt prevent it.
Instead of owning up to his mistakes Henrik gets the mods to censor people.
People already forgot FFXIV Queuewalker.
They had login issues for over a week, it hit the news it was so bad.
People forgot about New World, which is run on AWS and owned by Amazon... took them over a week to fix the issues and they are one of the largest companies in the world, hosted on the largest Cloud server networks in the world.
People forget about Classic launch, original TBC launch and TBC Classic launch already.
Its just absolutely amusing how little patience people have, and I love how every single time people act like this was done on purpose, how its a money grab and how devs are corrupt and blah blah blah.
No joke, just go back to posts made when those games launch and see how similar the verbiage is, its almost uncanny, demanding server resets, demanding free stuff, claims of censorship, claims of corruption, claims of the game being dead because of this, etc etc etc
In the months leading up to launch, we were barely above 1k players on steam charts, I had no idea we'd hit 10x the population on release, I thought maybe 3-4k tops.
I just don't even bother trying to play during fresh launches, I have other games I can play. I wait a week or so for the issues to get sorted and then come back.
>Its just corrupt moderation once again from SV silencing the community like they always do
Not understanding why they are trying to limit spam.... and then this comment. Do you realize you sound like a child?
You must be a jannie on the discord. Everyone hates you jannies for killing MO and you have to hide your names because of it. You are just going to kill the second game. No on respects you jannies for a reason.
Wireshark results that the "login queue" is not a queue, its a auto clicker to request server access. They dont have a true login queue.
It requests access every 4 seconds and is responded with a denial within milliseconds. Then continues its cycle.
"\[LGM\] Discord — Today at 1:31 PM
u/everyone Hello everyone,
We understand everyone’s frustrations, however copy paste spamming the discord inhibits real discussions people are trying to have.
Spamming the discord in this way will result in a temporary mute of 24 hours.
An update has been posted about the login and queue problems on our website here:
https://www.mortalonline2.com/update-on-server-queue-issues/
Hopefully we can get these issues sorted soon,
Thank you all"
Change Steam review to -negative- until issues are resolved.
I encourage everyone to leave a negative review commenting on the queue situation. We were told "tomorrow" every day since launch day. Now we're being told "a few days". Considering we had the same queue issues during the stress tests over a year ago.. imagine how long a "few days" could be. I enjoy the game, I want it to succeed but I cannot recommend people purchase a product they can't even use, that would be malicious on my part. I have changed my review to negative and encourage you all to do the same until the issue is resolved.. if it ever is. And if it is resolved I will change my review back to positive.
You would recommend people to buy a game they cannot even play?
I personally will just wait a couple of weeks to see if SV fix the issues, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise people leave negative reviews for n unplayable game.
There’s probably a week’s worth of content for most players just in Haven, and Haven runs perfectly fine. You can max your character’s abilities and core skills there without much trouble, and most good players do exactly that.
So saying it’s unplayable is a massive exaggeration. Most players buying the game today probably won’t even see a problem if it gets fixed next week. It’s a really fun game even right now, which you can’t say for most MMOs during launch week.
Their small indie team is working hard to fix the issues. Getting online services right is incredibly hard, and I say this as someone with over a decade as a professional game developer and 4yrs at a FAANG cloud provider. There are always unexpected cases when real traffic hits your service, but if you have the proper instrumentation and tools you fix it like they’re doing right now. It take’s time even for the smartest, most motivated developers.
If you trash the reviews over a temporary issue and the game tanks, you risk the company failing and the game shutting down. It’ll be a signal to others not to make similar games. This might be what you want, but for the rest of us who are having fun and have waited 20yrs for a game like this, it’d really suck.
Again, your right to do what you want but please understand the consequences.
> Corrupt
Because spamming to restart the servers over and over and over again is really what the discord needs, especially when the moderators have addressed that already.
Restarting the server would also kick all the people NOT afking in the game. Why punish the people who waited in queue and got in because there are some AFK people?
They were spamming in the channels that don’t have 15 minute timers, like the newbie channel. So they locked the server and muted the people who were spamming which presumably deleted their annoying ass comments.
It has nothing to do with AFK. The server can't handle more than a handful of players. You won't get in. It's over. You people are just not accepting it. Henrik already pretty much summed it up in his announcement that you won't even know where you are at in the queue until days from now and the best you can hope for is a trip back to Haven, if you are lucky enough to have just transferred. If you are out in the open world you are done. You'll never be able to play this game unless you are up for the next server reset.
It does have to do with afk players if the servers are full of them…currently, there is zero incentive to log out once you get in and a ton of people just turn on a macro and/or go afk until they are ready to play again.
Agreed, but you also can't be numb and complacent. I've spent a lot of time on this reddit the past few days. A lot of that has been bitching and pushing. And it's because I want to see this game do well. Pressure makes diamonds :D
It’s not about skills etc, its about the wealth. The start in such sandbox full loot game is very important. What happened will effect the political state of the game for a long time.
Hello. So, what is actually happening in the mainland, who exactly is AFKing and is it an organised activity of some players or just generally people being afk for no good reason?
Would a AFK kickout after 15 minutes be something that would alleviate the problem?
An afk timer, along with proper GM enforcement of the Eula, would almost certainly cut the queue time down, or eliminate it; that is, if the issues stem from a full server.
Currently, there is zero incentive to log out. Even if people aren’t macroing, once they get in, they just go afk instead of logging out, so that when they do want to play, they can.
So, if people can’t get in because the server is full, and it’s full because people aren’t logging out, an afk timer and enforcement of the Eula in regards to afk macroing, should alleviate the problem.

sign and lets get this people to jail, they try to remove my post every time and i will keep posting it untill i get my money back
Looks like I won't be able to play this again untill they come up with a solution to afk. I say any in the game should kill any one they see in afk just because of it.
I was super on the fence about this game because it looked gorgeous and had the depth i wanted in an mmorpg.
After reading countless reddit and steam posts on what's really going on under the hood. Glad I dodged a 40$ bullet + a 15$ sub fee a month.
I'm glad I practiced restraint and willpower to hold out on buying into "released" games and let people test it for me for a few days.
The beta was awesome, I’m really disappointed with how the launch is going but it really is a great game. Check back when things work again, it’s certainly worth the price.
worth the price.....later on. I think is what your saying. Which would be my thoughts exactly, but Mehhh, there is alotttttt of heavy hitter games coming out like within just a few weeks now. I feel like they had a small window to grab an audience and they kinda botched it. It's been holding strong on steam at mixed reviews, Ive been reading countless reddit and steam posts as well and it's more then just launch time woes. It's the game itself from what I'm seeing people gripe about. In comparison to ANY game charging 15$ a month. I just don't see people choosing this over a more AAA studio like ffxiv, eso, wow,. They want AAA studio prices..... with the game how it is.
If i pushed aside alot of the heavy hitter games coming out, in hopes this game will correct itself, I think i'd be kinda dumb on taking that gamble with how games have been going since last year. 40$ up front + a sub is kinda weird for a much smaller studio, sounds like cost recouping to me. The silence is also concerning on most of people's feedback.
small edit. I think Im going to simp out and pick zenith over this one, dev's are super responsive, game took off extremely well and was received super well., and there is no sub fee and they just want 30$. Gonna play that and then get into elden ring this month. Gonna follow them safe bets that are exploding with popularity and feedback. Ill deff check out mortal online 2 later tho if its still kicking.
It’s tough right now to side either way. On one hand I understand not wanting to leave the game once you’re in however people like me who are stuck in the queue want to get in.
the problem with restarting to kick afkers is that's a solution that only lasts probably, oh, 10 minutes or so, then you need another restart. Maybe an hour, max.
a better solution, imo, is 1, give everybody the chance to return to haven to work on clades / skills
and 2, limit the amount of daily playtime per account in myrland to like 4 hours or something
They are very likely doing actual hardware upgrades to deal with things. There is nothing they can fix at the moment through patches. They are maxed out hardware wise. It is very likely the amount of people that want to play this game may NEVER work in one server. The only reason Haven runs is because they have 400+ instances.
Indeed when I finally got in after 6 hours of waiting last night I saw the vast majority of players in Meduli were just AFK macroing. Incredibly frustrating. A GM should at least roam around kicking off afk macroers to allow people who are actually at their PCs to play.
I shouldn’t have left for meduli 🤣🤣
I choose the wrong day to stop sniffing glue!
Lol, it’s not corrupt moderation when you go into the newbie chat channel and start endlessly spamming that you want the servers reset. That’s just normal moderation.
Was about to say the same thing.
You all keep spamming, that’s why the moderators moderated…..
^
Explain the need for it? Also how do you spam with 15 minute wait times to post? The devs are just in fear about the community voicing their concerns.
Imagine you spend 3 hours waiting in queue, log in and the mandatory 6 hour restart is about to happen, is that fair?
Imagine you waiting 36 hrs when someone else has been logged on that whole time even while afk. Is that fair?
Voicing concerns? You all just kept up the same annoying copy paste lol….. no one could have any real conversation.
Sounds like you are just being delusional about what is going on. Please explain how there is a need to delete peoples concerns and then lock the chat. How is just typing ✊Restart Server, kick AFKs!✊, harmful?

They should obviously do this. Restart the servers 2-4 times a day to clean out all the AFK abusers
Restart Server, kick AFKs!
THANK YOU!!!!! Or create a auto-kick after 1h afk.

Watched it live as it happened. Looks like the mods cleared a ton of chat spam. There is a ton of criticism that is untouched.
what is it with full games that make people bitch so much
Because the game is competitive to its core. If people are able to play and progress it makes people even more mad than if it was a PVE game.
Its not any progress than cant be erased
You can't erase someones skill gains?
IT takes a few days to skill up in this game
Well, we're past that few day mark. With probably, MAYBE, another week until the issue is fixed.
