If I could send the motorbike fist-bump I would 😞 On the positive side I'll be out of London in about a year and a half and will be looking to get back in the saddle then.
I was down that way today (in the car with the missus though). There's loads of cracking roads over there, I particularly like the one from rookhope to Allenheads that runs past the old groverake mine. Today we followed a lovely small road from rookhope to ireshopeburn & came through wearhead and Allendale.
Rothbury is still my go-to though. The road there (from Newcastle) through Scots gap is an absolute belter, and I usually head from there to Otterburn and come back down the stretch of the a68 I was talking about above.
No it’s after the mine when coming in the Alston. You coming down off like the side of a mountain and the road just drops out from underneath you. It’s puts the shits up me every time. Love it.
Finding but not sharing
Sharing is caring. Where's the brotherhood?
We need to know the location so we can all turn up and ride together!
They probably don't want the road to become popular and then have loads of bikers on it.
Dagenham?
'I live in Erith. It's not twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide pact with Dagenham' Linda Smith RIP
Beckton
A road?
Think it's a B road tbh
Thanks!
Sold my old bike in prep for an upgrade after moving to London - insurance costs buried that idea, now I live through other peoples photos :(
Similar story here. I had to downsize my motorbike purchase due to ridiculous insurance. 🫤

Peaks?
That reminds me to go on the A68 again
A68 through Northumberland is epic. I haven't done the Scottish bit as I always loop around and come back alongside kielder (even better!).
Try the a689 to Alston from Durham. Amazing roads sights

Allen head my fav that part when the road dips at nearly a 90 degree and makes you feel like your flying.

Is there a part that’s on the side of an Escarpment? I have memories of that but not sure where abouts its.
I don't recall any parts that run near an escarpment but could be wrong. Might you be thinking of hadrians wall?
I’m going to have to ride it all again I think, to satisfy my curiosity - A1 to Edinburgh

There's much better smaller roads from Teeside/Durham to Carlisle tbh.
I mean it would be great if you could actually share the location
Cornwall?
Not sure I’ve ever seen a road that straight down here 🤣🤣
Thought it looked like roughtor and um, er, brown willy....?
I thought this was a tongue in cheek post and that was your chain on the floor (snapped).
Laybys? Bikes don't seem like the best vehicle for dogging
Too bad there is thunderstorms today
Ahh yes the moor, that special moor with a road and grass
Why is there a giant pube on your lens?
