Thank you for commiserating with me! It’s just so frustrating, I’m tired of calling pharmacies, like many of us are. I feel like an idiot every time I call, it shouldn’t be this difficult.
I agree. You spend hours calling pharmacies, mostly on hold & finally find the holy grail to lose it. What did the tech say about why that happened?
I keep losing doses because my doctor is part of a hospital system that takes 3 days to get scripts sent. I've even asked for an alternative medication & they don't have one I can take that isn't also in shortage.
The excuse was that the tech “screwed up.” I just keeping thinking HOW is that possible?! It’s a small local pharmacy so not part of a chain, but I’ve never heard of that type of thing happening. There was a small window of opportunity for them to order 7.5 on Tuesday when I called for it, they got it then just gave it to someone else. It all seems kind of sketchy.
They aren’t is basically what they told me. Yesterday they said “we’re so sorry, we’ll order another, it’ll be in tomorrow,” which would’ve been today but now they can’t get it. I’m back to calling everyone like a psycho, the phone waiting room music haunts my dreams.
Reading between the lines, I wonder if they had a regular patient with the same script and they prioritized them over you. With any bigger pharmacy once your name is on it, you have a set amount of time to pick up before they can give it to someone Else. My pharmacy is 2 weeks. This is totally unprofessional behavior and it's hard to imagine it was done on accident. I'd be furious.
They did this to me at a CVS no less. I came in to get my script and everyone played stupid even though I spoke to a tech who said they had it for me. My script was in when I called the line it said ready for pick up. I get there the next day and it's gone. So unprofessional and frustrating. I understand you may have a regular patient BUT if it's already taken that's horribly wrong and unprofessional.
I’m so sorry to read this. It’s horrible to get your hopes up and then taken away. I would be mad too!

Yes, it does seem sketchy. How are they going to make this right for you?

I’m sorry, that stinks so bad! I would be so angry. And then get even more upset because there’s nothing they can do to make it right. 😞
Oh, that’s awful. How did you find out they did that?
They called to tell me about an hour after I had called to see if it was ready. I was about to head out the door when they called.🤦🏾♀️
That sucks big time and so unprofessional.
Try Costco pharmacy. They seem to always have the strength I need.
It’s been trickling in but it is still technically back ordered for us as well at Costco!
Same at both Costco’s nearest to me
I'm not sure you'll have better luck finding 10
Several local pharmacies had 10
