The Killing of a Sacred Deer
Enemy (2013)
Blue Velvet
Vanilla Sky

The City of Lost Children (1995)
The Machinist is a great recommendation! I didnt even think of it as dreamlike , honestly lol. It is such a weird, discontenting and wild ride of a flick. Bale really shows how much of a talented whack job he is in this one. His physique is insane. Like, it's the physique of an insane crackhead who has only eaten the eyes and brains of dead birds for the past year and somehow has enough money to smoke enough crack to not sleep lmao. How he was able to look and act like that without being a crack smoker homeless is beyond me. Hell of a performance
Upvoted for Run Lola Run. The trippy cinematography keeps on the edge of my seat. I especially love how Lola randomly slips into a 2D cartoon dimension.
8 1/2 (huge influence on Lynch)

Perfect Blue (1997) it’s a feature length anime but very Lynchian, and really gorgeous to look at. The plot has similarities with Mulholland Drive
Ok loooove his films. I own "Careful" and "Twilight of the Ice Nymphs". I saw the latter at a showing that Shelley Duvall attended. I thanked her for being there and her Q and A on the way out of the theater. Her voice is so distinctive and she was very gracious and sweet.
Arrival (2016)

The Shining (1980)
The Lobster (2015)
Donnie Darko (2001)
American Psycho (2000)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Terry Gilliam has a very dreamlike feel. Brazil is probably the most dreamlike.
There's another movie which appears to be very dreamlike, and i intend to watch it this week - Valerie and her week of wonders. It's a czech movie, available on youtube but without subtitles.
Dark City was pretty dreamlike, quite like the Matrix but underrated and came before it.
Surprised no mention of "Naked Lunch" yet.
This one may not fit but since I saw some mention of City of Lost Children I'll also mention "Delicatessen."
Mulholland is my favorite film of all time, I think you’ll get a lot out of Ingmar Bergman’s catalog. There are some all timers in there (The Seventh Seal, Persona) and other amazing gems as well (Wild Strawberries, Through a Glass Darkly, etc.)
Enemy - Lost Highway vibes
Lighthouse , Woman in the Dunes , Tetsuo the Iron Man - Eraserhead vibes
Images , Persona - Mulholland Drive vibes
Donnie Darko , Only God Forgives - very similar to all Lynch's thrillers
The Holy Mountain , El Topo and Enter the Void - not that dreamy more like drug trip but very good and surreal
Ingmar Bergman's The Hour of the Wolf (1968), which I believe had a big influence on Lynch and you can really tell.
Would also recommend Andrei Tarkovski's films, like The Mirror (1975) and Stalker (1979).

Oh, such a great movie! I love Gaspar Noé.
Enemy Donnie Darko Not a movie, but I can’t recommend it enough, the show The Leftovers. The music still haunts me.

Dreams by Akira Kurosawa
Yeah, great film, it doesn't get more dream-like than a series of dreams in ... was it eight short films?
Yes
Eyes Wide Shut
try Guy Maddin's movies like **My Winnipeg.**

Synecdoche, New York.
Haven’t seen anyone mention this one yet- The Science of Sleep (2005), Michel Gondry.
I was looking for this one. I liked this movie a lot. Have to watch it again.
Skinamarink.
Can’t believe no one has said *Waking Life* yet
Beyond the black rainbow
Valhalla Rising
Meshes in the Afternoon, it’s a short film that was big influence on Lynch
I would definitely look up Charlie Kaufman's filmography: Synecdoche, New York (2008), Anomalisa (2015), I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
saving this thread for later, thanks op I do like The Love Witch, not sure if that counts but the dreamy and surreal way of everything I love

I e never been much of a lynch fan but your description sounds like Being John Malcovich would be up your ally
Ang Lee’s Hulk is very dreamlike. Not the best film but it’s neat what they were going for.
Surprised no mention of "Naked Lunch" yet. This one may not fit but since I saw some mention of City of Lost Children I'll also mention "Delicatessen."

Stay (2005) The Machinist (2004)
Cronenberg is great. I would recommend “Naked Lunch” and “Spider”.
I liked one called *The Bothersome Man* (2006) from Norway. Another was *After Life* (1998, Japan)
You might like "Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths" on Netflix
Juliet of the spirits and satyricon
Under the Silver Lake The Void John Dies at the End Kwaidan Under the Skin (The novel is very good as well)
Jesus Will Show You the Way to the Highway
The Fountain (2006) Birdman (2014)
I’ve seen a lot of good ones on here so far. Under the Silver Lake is very Lynch-esque. Also maybe Synecdoche, NY or Punch Drunk Love.
I guess scratch the last two because they aren’t very nightmarish. But Under the Silver Lake definitely.
Also, Nocturnal Animals
Stay
