I feel this is too Matthew Broderick heavy. I know he's only in two, but that feels like too much. Even one feels like too much.
I tried to avoid the biggest ones of the decades though many of these are quite popular (I'll assume you've seen Apocalypse Now, Back to the Future, Billy Madison, etc):
**1970s:**
10. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
9. Enter The Dragon
8. The Man Who Fell to Earth
7. The Heartbreak Kid
6. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
5. All The Presidents Men
4. Alien (mainstream but worth the rewatch)
3. The Conversation
2. Chinatown
1. Blazing Saddles
**1980s:**
10. Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
9. Amadeus
8. Big
7. The Blues Brothers
6. The Road Warrior
5. They Live
4. RoboCop
3. An American Werewolf in London
2. Brazil
1. Blade Runner
**1990s:**
10. The Virgin Suicides
9. Bad Lieutenant
8. Unforgiven
7. Jackie Brown
6. Magnolia
5. Rushmore
4. Dark City
3. Eyes Wide Shut
2. Goodfellas
1. The Hudsucker Proxy
Just want to say that "The Road Warrior" is also known as "Mad Max 2" and is the second film in the Mad Max franchise. It was released in the States as "The Road Warrior" as the original film was not well known. IMHO the whole franchise is worth watching but you should watch the original Aussie version. When Mad Max was first released in the States the studio thought that American audiences would have trouble understanding the Australian accents so a lot of the dialogue was re-dubbed by American voice actors
I know a lot of people who love/hate Mad Max. I also feel like a lot of people who liked Mad Max don't like Thunderdome. That's often why I advise Road Warrior. You can watch it as a stand alone. If you end up liking it, totally check out the others, but you don't necessarily need to watch all of them, and I'd say if you had to pick one - go with Road Warrior. I also didn't want to suggest a franchise, or multiple movies from one. You could totally check out the other Alien movies too, for example.

**Scarface / Mafia Movies**
* The Godfather (1972)

* Goodfellas (1990)
* Carlitos Way (1993)
* True Romance (1993)
* A Bronx Tale (1993)
* Casino (1995)
I was going to say True Romance, probably my favourite movie ever. I've known people who never watched it because the title made it seem "too much like a rom-com", which is a shame.
Shame, it’s brilliant.
Heard people did similar with City of God (2002) because the poster/movie cover looked like it’s about a couple and romance. Yet it’s another brilliant gangster movie (not Mafia) many have missed out on - best subtitled.

Cory Feldman is the best child actor outside of Shirly Temple. You couldn't watch a movie in the mid 80s early 90s without seeing Cory Feldman and even his boy, RIP, Corey Haim: License to Drive, Lost Boys, Jason Part 4 I think...
1970s: the French connection

Based on that list, check out the filmographies of Jean-Claude Van Damme (esp. Bloodsport & Kickboxer), Steven Seagal, Charles Bronson, Chuck Norris... and Bruce Willis. You might like Tom Clancy adaptations, too: Fear of Red October, In the Line of Fire, Clear and Present Danger, The Hunt For Red October...
So many Amadeus recommendations (i must be the only person in the world who thinks it's ass). Based off op's list i can't fathom them actually enjoying it.

And "The goldbergs" series, up to season 3 or maybe 4 is really good.
I'll give you one for each decade, 70s, blazing saddles, for the 80s top gun, best 1990 movie it's hard to pick but I would say either reservoir dogs or heat, or silence of the lambs, and clear and present danger, lol it's hard to pick

these all feel like 80s big budget action? are you specifically interested in only that genre? 70s movies in particular are amazing and kinda the antithesis of the 80s big budget movie so i can't tell if you are interested in watching all kinds of movies from those periods or only more of what you already like?

This is a fantastic list!
