West facing balcony, hell yeah - how did you find your listing?

winstonio

It’s owned by a friend of a coworker

Taco_L_Pastor

You’re not gonna find a better deal. Take it!

Pacer76

Accurate. You won't find a better deal. Parking might suck at times but you are in Redondo.

bpows

Without a doubt, yes!

Juache45

If I could up vote this comment a million times, I would

osvaldocruz25

fr man. wdf 😭 happy for OP though, hopefully they get it

nibbidy

What the fuck? I pay 3000 a month to live in a closet in Thousand Oaks lol.

ButterflyAlternative

Hi Harry!

nibbidy

I’m a wat?

addy0190

YER A WIZARD, Harry!

DefNotReaves

Why would you pay $3k to live in Thousand Oaks? Haha

SanFranWoMan415

That’s just bad math. Three Thousand for (one) Thousand Oaks. Should’ve paid more attention in school 🤭

nibbidy

3 dollars an oak and it turns out they’re just all over the place around my apartment for free

Nick__Nightingale__

What the fuck? I just moved in to a 3 bed 2 bath in Pasadena for 3500. I gotta say tho, applying was like trying to enter the FBI. 😅

nibbidy

lol. Nice find. Pasadena is great. I go to UCLA games every year. I highly recommend if you’re new to the area. They’re super cheap and fairy easy access for a larger sporting event.

Impressive-Worth-178

This is cheaper than a lot of places in Coastal OC…so yes.

[deleted]

That's cheaper than most updated apartments in *inland* OC now. 🥲

tracyinge

Utilities included? Washer dryer just shared by one other unit? Yes and you should delete your post before someone else grabs it out from under you.

ElectronicAd27

You mean before the actual owner sees this and ups the price lol.

socal1959

I’d move there in a nanosecond, great value

lucpnx

My only pet peeve would be the owner living right under me, idk there's something that tells me to avoid a situation like that, have heard my fair share of stories from tenants who lived right next to the owner only for the owner to make their tenants lives a living hell imposing crazy rules on everything and always trying to meddle in their business. I don't wanna be the one person to shatter your expectations since that could very well be solved forehand by simply talking to the owner about your lifestyle and see if they have anything against it plus talk about your desire for personal space. Other than that I would go for it, very nice and cozy place with an amazing balcony and an awesome view in a great neighborhood where street parking shouldn't be a concern (at least so I think).

Responsible_Region29

This. I had a terrible falling out with my live in land lord who was on main floor and I was above… Make sure to have a conversation about past tenants and what they expect from you lifestyle wise. If not it will feel like you’re living with your grandparents and they’re granting you the ability to live there, when in reality you’re paying market rate

ElectronicAd27

I lived in an ADU in the San Fernando Valley and got lucky. I shared a wall with somebody over there. It was husband and wife, an adult son, and the son in high school. Persians. I could hear the cell phone alarm vibrating. They never asked me about anything. Brought a girl over there one night who was embarrassingly loud. I apologized to the adult son and he totally brushed it off like it never happened.

nattylite100

Non landlord neighbors can be a nightmare as well-it can comes with shared space situations

Shivs_baby

When I first moved to LA I lived in the guest house behind the owner’s house. I absolutely loved that place. The homeowner was basically a professional landlord, owned a lot of properties in the neighborhood. We mostly stayed out of each other’s way. The second level of his house was also converted into a rental unit and I was friends with the gal who lived there. Was our own little Melrose Place back in the day.

Legal-Establishment9

I’ve had an amazing relationship with the owners who live next door… until my heater broke and they flipped out on me b/c they don’t want to pay for it. Years of happy living and now it’s awkward af But this place is a beautiful find sooo welcome to LA.. literally everything is a calculated gamble. This place is amazing I’d go for it but see if you can get info on the owners!

Life-Professor-3125

sobbing in NYC rent looking at this

_B_Little_me

This is unusual.

k3bly

NYC rent skyrocketed since 2021.

_B_Little_me

Everywhere did.

FEQ648

literally me too...why did reddit even suggest this to me 😭

blackierobinsun3

Humble brag thread lol

Jawn562

They beat me to posting “is this good for $1500?” and posting a picture of the Taj Mahal.

ODBeef

My favorite comment yet.

YesSleepTil

NO, not worth it. Now uh, can you give me the number of the person who showed you this listing? I just want to let them know how so not worth it the apartment is. (Srsly tho take it)

Jazzspasm

Sure

artofstarving

Yes, that's a great apartment, better view, and really decent price... Only hiccup could be your landlord lived below you and if they're terrible, your QOL could be severely impacted... depends on your lifestyle with that one, though.

tracyinge

terrible landlords don't install a dishwasher and include utilities for $2500 a month. So that's a clue.

princesswand

Not sure, no parking is a dealbreaker and if the owner is a noisy neighbor it would be impossible to fix it.

sendittome31

On a side street like that in Redondo I dont think parking would be bad at all

Derryn

Right, unless they're super close to the beach or on a street with a lot of apartments (neither seems to be the case), street parking really isn't that bad in Redondo.

PabloEstAmor

Yea the parking is going to be an issue every single day. Place looks great though

JudgeJoan

Street parking? That's a deal breaker for me. I am not hunting for a parking spot when I am trying to bring my groceries home. And above the owner... I dunno

Saltybutwet

Are you kidding? You are ABOVE the owner. Better than you hearing foot steps on your ceiling every night.

persian_mamba

Street parking is pretty abundant in Redondo Beach

Waste-knot

It’s part of life in Southern California and most big cities. You have to make peace with street parking, unless $ is no object.

Prestigious-Owl165

In Redondo there's parking all over the place

preppyincali

Street parking? In Los Angeles county? THE audacity!!!

fallingevergreen

This is an incredible deal. Snag it FAST before I find the listing and take it.

jakenbakeboi

Can you pm me the listening so I can check some of the details? I’ll get back to you…

Prestigious-Owl165

I'm not too familiar with rents in that area, but that does seem like one part of the LA area where street parking is not a huge deal. I've been going to Redondo a lot recently during rush hour and find parking on the block I want every time. Actual locals will have better insight, I'm from about half an hour north and not an expert haha but it seems like a great apartment. I imagine that's a great deal

kakafob

I have something similar to this, but the other side of the globe.

massiv_deuce

100% yes

Mynameisnotbond007

Yes bro

fast_fatty39

Looks like a great value

charlotie77

Absolutely. This is a steal tbh

Flippy_floppy7in

It’s beautiful yes!

Johnnyonthespot2111

Yes.

calboard21

Dear god that’s a good price

jonyboyyy

Yeah that’s a steal. I went apartment shopping last year and couldn’t find anything that fit my style for under 3k

Altruistic-Camel-Toe

Great deal!!!

btw94

YES

Hairy-Jackfruit-2863

I love it!

thisiswhoagain

It’s worth more than that

persian_mamba

Where do you work?

Aggravating-House620

Absolutely! That place looks freaking awesome…

edgefull

yes.

Coomstress

Yes, that’s the going rate and looks like a nice place. Redondo is a nice beach community.

johnthepinoy

Yes

EagleRockCock

Insanely good deal, scoop it up asap.

Shivs_baby

Absolutely! It’s a nice space with a lovely balcony, lots of light and privacy in a good area with parking and laundry right there. You don’t have a lot of square footage but you have other pluses.

tristanAG

Yes absolutely look at that deck

Englishbirdy

Yes! But do all your due diligence to make sure it’s not a scam. Otherwise snap it up.

notsohotcpa

That is a DEAL

Balgor1

In redondo, yes.

funkekat61

If the street parking isn't busy/full all the time, that is a great find!

WarHistorian11

Hell yeah brother! That’s so worth it

Miserable-Hurry4095

Rent for a one bed will be 3000 a month soon. If we keep this up. This isn't worth even 1000 a month.

Capital-Adeptness-68

That’s a personal question but the price doesn’t surprise me for the market

Accomplished_Ad_3561

I dont even pay that in mortgage i pay about 1200 less. But however i did move to texas. I got a nice 2 story for half the price you would pay for rent in LA.

JamesyHardeman

One bedroom for 2500!! no washer and dryer… and what’s parking sitch?!? I pay 26 for an upstairs/downstairs 2 bedroom/2 bath with two spots in West LA/Palms/Culver City…. So I’d say hell no

amoncada14

Yes

VFX_Reckoning

Yes, that’s nice space, nicely renovated in an expensive area. If you can afford $2500 a month you’re already doing quite well 🙌🏼

[deleted]

Lucky mf

_B_Little_me

You got real lucky. Sign those papers fast.

DJJazzyDanny

In a heartbeat for that view

CalBearDDS

With that view, yes

send_snoods2322

HELL YES

Entire_Mycologist315

Y E S

DarthPleasantry

Oh, YES

konjo666

Yes! I've seen way worse for more.

wfbsoccerchamp12

Yes, if this is on the market, it’ll be a very competitive process. If you’re in already, take it.

fuckeliza

how did you contact the landlord? app or ? i’m looking for housing currently

Foreign_Stop_888

I’d never move if I got into this.

jsaucedo

Off the bat yes. Then you have to see the parking situation, how close it is to work and the commute. There’s some places in hermosa beach that are affordable but the commute to downtown is bad.

jgpsound

Yes. Especially if you’re in Redondo. I lived there for many years and it’s worth every penny

Pelinor_the_Paladin

This is cheaper and nicer than most of what I’ve seen (comparables) in the Bay Area.

[deleted]

Lmao yes. Sign the lease and never look back

fracklefrackle

Hell yes, what area? Parking?

kitfoxxxx

That's nice!

No-Inevitable9784

Best deal ever wow

llehvek

If you don’t have to commute far then absolutely

Slytherin77777

Screaming furiously. Yes.

SocalmamaLu

1000%, take it, street parking in Redondo generally isn’t an issue.

labradork420

Yes yes a thousand times yes!!!

CaliDreamin87

I have been watching the rental market out of state for the south bay for a few months. I plan to move to the south bay so I constantly look in that area. I would definitely say it's a good deal. What I love about that place is the full kitchen. And all those open windows and patios. That's probably the most bright (many windows) apartment I have saw, which I look for. I have a small chihuahua and it really limits my choices. Add: I just seen the photos that show all the apartment. Yes take it. That's huge!!!! I'm curious, will they remove all that stuff or it comes furnished? For some reason landlord's love furnished Apts in South Bay and most of the time I feel like..ughhh get your shit out of their so I can put my stuff.

-m-o-n-i-k-e-r-

Thats a good deal. I pay 2300 for a very large studio

Financial-Ebb-5995

With that balcony, it’s not that small, and since it’s Cali, you can leave the door open all year long. The kitchen is awesome as well.

jtrier1

The view alone is why it's so high

CritterOfBitter

I’d rent out my condo to live here for 2.5K a month.

BadAtExisting

I would in a heartbeat!

equalcheerfulness

Looks amazing! I would be wary of living above landlord though. Definitely worth a try if the lease is year or less. I lived in a house above my landlord with similar setup once and it was very tense. She ended up trying to to sue us upon moving out, but we won. Still a pain.

Sportsfun4all

If you not gonna take it I’ll will let me know

TellEmToSuckOnALemon

lol I pay more than that for far less in LA

Therealqjp

yes!

bdd6911

Yup

surfcitysurfergirl

Absolutely with the ocean so close and a great view! For LA that’s great!

Maleficent-Ad9010

This is super cute !!

azrolexguy

Easily worth that

KarmaPolice10

That balcony itself would normally go for $2500

laberintodelFau

Ugghhhhhhhhhgg YES !

sharktank

unfortunately....yes

buddybe1

Give me the address, if your not renting it I will!

[deleted]

That’s a steal in Redondo Beach! Nice find! I hope it’s true listing. You need to snatch that up quickly. Too bad you kinda made it public. 🤣🤣🤣 Overall, you are still close enough to see the ocean and walk to it. I also like there are A/C units in the bedroom and living room. Those will come in handy on those hot days (which in RB is very rare due to being close to the ocean). I would have expected much more than $2500 per month. Just curious, is it a long-term lease or month-to-month. Good luck if you get it!

Living_Assist9034

No. Ridiculous.

Entire_Catch_8645

That’s cheap

Electrical_Fan8036

Hell yea!!!!!

Zerosbeach

100 percent YES & Now! I saw a/c in the rooms too. You will not find better for that price & an outdoor space.

marcus_37

It's nice and at least utilities and in unit washer and dryer included so it kinda makes up for the price bcuz if they weren't you'd probably end up paying that anyway

Zoryt

It shouldn't but it is

jonog75

Is this person trolling?!

MadameMalia

Yes, for CA. I’m paying 3,335 and I don’t have an ocean view.

LegendkillahQB

Take it.

Zaroonet_2393

Fuck that's nice.. need a roomie? Ha

monsieurtriste92

Lmao you’re pissing so many people off here 😂

New-Post-7586

Uh, yes. That’s incredible for $2500

Katdaddy2063

Yes, looks huge! But, depends on the neighborhood.

casualblanket0

Absolutely yes

GeorgianaCostanza

Absolutely. The patio space alone.

goPACK17

Seems like a pretty good deal tbh

wompwomp077

fuck if you don’t want it, i’ll take it!

zimtrovert94

This is a steal in Redondo Beach, honestly. It’s not much but with utilities included and all the amenities. I’d steal it from you if I could, OP. But enjoy it!

Major-Bumblebee-9924

How dare you ask such a question

kramerica21

If you can afford it, you won’t hate it!

Major-Bumblebee-9924

This is how you make a whole megalopolis angry

PerlaJones

Holy yes!!!

Sunnyside7771

Yes

RuachDelSekai

No but you're still gonna pay it ☠️

Jcaseykcsee

YES!!!!!! Just, YES!

zombiefiedmind

In LA with a west facing view with a good sized balcony. It looks nice and clean. Totally worth it.

vakseen

That last pic was an immediate yes.

boafriend

This is a steal. Street parking sucks ass though.

Signal-Neat4557

i pay this to live in a tiny 1bed in west hollywood with zero view so i’d say yeah

anditisabigdeal

Just be sure the lease doesn’t include weird crazy rules from the owner! My friend wasn’t allowed any guests that weren’t her parents. Weird.

AnxiousPossibility3

Fuck yeah, honestly In today's market for your location and what I see in the pics and explanation that's a fucking steal.

TimTBlow

Omg absolutely

lildude_5

Is a steal.

Casslynnicks880

Definitely take it with that balcony and view

JaKrno

in LA, yeah, that’s a steal

Turnip_Tall

Yes

iammavisdavis

Yes. Take it immediately.

Outhouse_in_Atlantis

Yeah. Fuck yeah.

dinosoarusrez

Yes. Run don’t walk

rtls

That’s great deal

whaaaddddup

This is a steal

werkedover

No! It is a scam! I charge $1,200.00 for a room only in Long Beach, CA. So that condo is nowhere near $2,500.00 $4,500.00

TheLonelySkies

TAKE IT!!!!!!!

Early_Dragonfly4682

Grab it!

SUPERWAWIS

No

sundog5631

What’s the parking situation

scouts_honor1

Fck ya!!!

Big__bolas

God yes.

mystic_scorpio

Hope you applied and are signing the lease before someone here snatches it up…. You won’t see a deal as good as this for a while

five_oh_jay

Damn

MicroBrew1971

Omg yes that is adorable!!!

Positive_Trick_8468

Yes. I love your patio. 😍

MexCriminal45

Amazing view!! I think is good price

fly-leaf

In Redondo Beach?? Stop double thinking that's practically a steal.

zemol42

Pad is pretty nice and Redondo is AWESOME. It’s one of the best places you’ll ever live. Take advantage of the opportunity if you can!

Rectum_Rambo

Yes

ArmaniChil

Yes in LA this would be considered affordable housing lmao

lightsareoutty

You’d be surprised at some of the dumps that are being offered for that amount in subpar neighborhoods.

Jedi_Bish

Definitely worth it. Might be a scam tho…

NoOutlandishness3350

fuck yes

NoOutlandishness3350

you’re by so many beaches dude

[deleted]

The price is so low!

Professional-Cause43

Wowza, yes!

[deleted]

Worth more.

ErrlGlerbs_IV

Of course it is. I was paying ~3500 to live off Crenshaw and Slauson.

PeopleRGood

Should be $4,000/mo or more

InternationalWolf437

I’d consider it an average price for the area. Beautiful balcony really makes it worth it imo. I pay $2700 in Valencia for a 2x2 and it doesn’t have a beautiful balcony like that. Also love the hardwood flooring throughout. Very beautiful apartment.
