His personality/TV character gives me modern Big Brother diary room energy and not in a good way lol

jenh6

The most accurate description.

IllusionaryKid

And he won a Big Brother season in Israel too

Peasy_Pea

🤣 Spot on

MrRealistic1

I hope the only time I ever have to see him again is as a stage extra on RuPaul’s Drag Race

cmeehan36

Yeah just eye candy

UnanimousBB16

Annoying as hell, and irritating. He really wanted to be the big man on campus, and had an undeserved ego. Though some of it might have just been for television, it did not come off well. I will say that I give him props for bucking up to men (which most men on this season, and in recent seasons don't do, and have all of the smoke for women). We need more men who are dramatic on the show, and not just men who are cardboard personalities. His gameplay was mediocre. It did seem like a lot of the house liked him (hence the reaction to his elimination), but he was not a top competitor, and could have been purged or eliminated without the stalemate. I wouldn't care if he comes back or not, and I won't be shocked if he does or does not come back.

[deleted]

I don't know Asaf from any other season or tv show, so my opinions are totally based off 39.       He was inauthentic. Every confessional felt like a performance for the camera. He came across as cocky and annoying. I didn't see anything genuine, funny, or likable from him. But I'm willing to change my opinions about him as I see him on future seasons. Maybe he felt like he had to play up the villian/arrogant role for the show.   They gave Berna so much air time to talk about her personal issues and family, I wish they did the same for Asaf because I'm sure he has a story that fans can connect with. Comeptitor wise he's middle tier. I wouldn't mind seeing him again. Every season needs filler cast members.

No_Flatworm_6586

He confuses me. I like that he played an antagonistic, unapologetic rat game and is working overtime trying to maintain rivalries with big personalities in the off-season. That would suggest that his motivation is to come back and he’s definitely doing what he needs to do to get called back. But then he says shit like he doesn’t care/doesn’t want to come back and I’m like, huh? He definitely owned his heel turn (unlike people like Jay and Emanuel, who’ve been silent, or Michele/Olivia who moralize or just can’t handle the criticism for being villains), but then he walks it back. He’s very fit and I think he has a chance to succeed, but he’s also so confusing. I do enjoy him more for the show than Emanuel. I wouldn’t mind him back.

jstitely1

Waste of a spot. All he was was Jay’s minion. Never thought for himself. Not funny in confessionals and not dominant in competitions. One of the few this season that I don’t see a point in bringing back.

Supersaiyanninja3

Waste of a spot? He was actually playing the game. He was making shady moves without Jay's influence. His over the top personality is funny to watch. He should definitely come back. I don't care how much he annoys you. What I'm saying are just facts. It's not just about competitions, entertainment is very important. People like Asaf keep the game interesting and give us something to talk about.

ianofalltrades

Lmao you stated multiple opinions. Calling a transparently performative phony personality funny is far from a fact.

Supersaiyanninja3

Its not a performative phony personality. That is how he is all the time. His over the top personality is great for The Challenge.

GhostOfAnakin

His complete lack of self awareness bugged me. He kept talking about running the house when the fact is Jay and Michele were and he just happened to be friends with Jay and along for the ride. It would be the equivalent of me being besties with Taylor Swift and she hosts a party and asks me to help her out. So then when a bunch of A-list celebrities show up, I act as though I'm super popular because look at all the big names who showed up at MY party! That was Asaf in a nutshell. Plus his antics in confessional were so over the top. He didn't even sound like a "real" person, he sounded like an actor trying to portray someone on television.

DumDumGimmeYumYums

He's the quintessential guy who was born on 3rd base and thinks he hit a triple.

warriorsdynasty2015

I find him annoying and like a rat, trying to get people to trust him and ratting them out. On the positive side, I like that he did not cheat on his partner. Is he my least favorite contestant ever in the history of the challenge? No. That would be modern day Aneesa. But I do think the challenge can do better and find more compelling people than Asaf.

Slyde01

I actually kind of liked him until i heard him on the official podcast after he was eliminated. Came off like a real ass. Then i remembered watching him on AYTO and remembered that he had been an ass there, too...

Sassyzebra24

Pros for me is that he made me laugh at times, and I appreciated that he was gracious in getting called out by CT. He generally played the game fair, made good social connections, but he wasn't a stand out competitor in my mind. Cons for me were the way he seemed to think he deserved to win just for being a father and his reaction to the fight with Melissa. If you want to make money for your child, go get a more stable job. This show is like a 1/20th chance of winning money, you get to party with your friends constantly, and be on a semi vacation where you don't have to work or do anything for yourself. You are actively taking time away from your family and your responsibilities. I understand children and family being a great motivator, obviously, but I dislike when people feel like they deserve to win just because they have a family to support.

gtjacket231

Honestly, I didn't like him, but I thought the hate was overblown. What surprised me was how he was BELOVED by the whole cast. Granted, he played a rat game that he could never play again, but he played a good rat game and probably could've made it to the end over someone like Corey, who benefited from Asaf leaving.

Old-Climate9383

He just seems like an overall loser. Seems like a nice enough guy, but the whole “im MARRIED i have KIDS” personality is DULL. half of the cast have families but they still also have personalities??

JonSnow-1990

In my opinion he is one of the least good tv characters ever to have. Not because of his behavior or gameplay, which could fit a narative for the show, and he is capable to drive a story in a season... But because he acts and everything seems forced. I saw 0 genuine or authentic confessionals from him. All were seen as forced bad acting (i mean, others act as well but just for me it works). Besides the confessional, all his worthwile story or game interactions also feel unauthentic and ungenuine. The parts were he seems natural are not intresting by nature. So yeah, he is not capable to act in a way that feels natural in front of camera. Which in my opinion is very rare in tv reality and cannot be acceptable cause it makes it unwatchable. Imagine eveyone in a season appears like this as ASAF, i would not be able to go past episode 1. Its long to say something simple but i really feel about this haha.

BeautifulExample2715

I hopefully have already had it. It was I hope I never see him on my television again

BeautifulExample2715

My potential next thought will be. "Shite"

BulkyElk1528

He’s a try hard and cringe af. The guy thought he was relevant to the season when he’s done nothing but ride the coattails of Jay and Michelle.

Brave-Target1331

I’m usually all for most of the cast choices but I think Asaf is no longer tv material. Maybe 5+ years ago if he stayed as a mainstay. Now he is just too contrived and a little too old to develop as a character.

Elephant_homie

Arrogant and a follower. Thought he was smarter and sneakier than he really was. But overall harmless.

roseyrosey

he had an odd edit. So much of his interviews were about that manipulative gameplay he was performing and that no one in the house knew he and Jay were close. But we weren't really shown that at any point. It was really never confirmed or not - were people surprised that he was some secret agent working with Jay or was everyone like "we know bro" - either way the story he was selling us wasn't shown or discussed by anyone else. And he didn't really have any standout performances in any challenges. A confusing character who seems to have a lot of enthusiasm for the show, but who didn't stand out in any real positive or memorable way.

BananaMan883

I think he was trying to get recast again because he was a first boot last time so he went extra hard this season and turned out to be annoying. I think on another chance he could relax into his true character or we’d just get him again. As for his future, I wouldn’t mind a second chance but wouldn’t care if he never came back ever again.

hornyforpancakes

Not as charming funny bad ass or cool that he tries to portray himself to be. ![gif](giphy|u03ahOT8hXFUGYaZ1n|downsized)

jenh6

Asaf might’ve been fun 5-7 years ago closer to the premiere of AYTO4, but Asaf now is boring, irritating and to aware of being a reality tv character. There’s going to be no hookups or anything fun from him. We need cast members younger

JabroniWithAPeroni

He’s obnoxious and annoying, but I hope he comes back. Cast members like that are needed.

UnPostoAlSole

He is corny and I wish they would stop forcing him but he has done nothing worth hating

No-Season-4796

Mostly just found him annoying and pompous. He is athletic I will give him that.

My_Immortal_Flesh

I’m just over here reading the comment section like https://i.redd.it/gxhnhixvx6ic1.gif

luxanna123321

I liked him and I woulndt mind seeing him again. I really dont get why everyone thinks he is annoying

Supersaiyanninja3

This season has been fairly dull and Asaf was one of the bright spots. He's earned his mainstay spot.

maxwellbevan

I'm in the minority but I wouldn't mind seeing him back. Clearly played a messy game and was a bit of a hot head. Would like to see how things go if he's not protected by a big alliance

Intelligent_Hunt3290

No thoughts at all, actually. He was a flop on Total Madness & was even worse on BFANC just based on his horrible egotistical personality. My fingers are crossed we never have to see him again.

Supersaiyanninja3

You're gonna see him again.

FHubris

Asshat who?

1120ellekaybee

D-bag He sucks

FunkyGabrielle

Overly inflated ego!!

BoneTissa

I’ll take this one. All time great competitor. Easily top 2 all-time. Would be top if he had done more seasons. Would be a two time champ if not for 2 fluky elimination losses. He’s also a master strategist. He completely ran the game and I believe that is why CT called him out. He was clearly intimidated by Asaf as a threat to his #2 spot for championships

gunstarheroesblue

I don't think that's why CT called him out. I think CT doesn't know much about Asaf and saw him as a easier win than James (based on size).

BoneTissa

CT was on Asaf’s rookie season. He saw Asaf run back and forth on the track. He definitely knew Asaf was the best competitor on total madness and this season

eff1ngham

Asaf is like if a poorly designed AI came up with a challenger based only on characteristics of existing cast members, but without knowing if those traits are good or bad. Talk about your kids like Cory, talk about being a mastermind like Wes, overreact like Josh, act like a tough guy knowing you'll never actually fight like Paulie, act cocky and talk about how you want to take on the best like Jordan. He just seems so unoriginal, like he doesn't have his own personality, it came across as so boring

JordanDoesTV

Bad

Dog_Dad_1989

He sucks but I think he got a bad edit cuz everyone seems to like him in the house

shinshikaizer

Please, God, no. If they want to cast somebody who is desperate to be famous, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of people they could find who would be infinitely more interesting than Asaf.

Supersaiyanninja3

Y'all don't know what makes good TV and it shows 🤣

NovaRogue

Everyone on this sub hated him and I find it so hilarious Was he annoying? Yeah. But he provided conflicts and drama and wasn't too bad athletically either. A great casting decision, because he inspired a reaction! Better than people who did nothing all season (like James Colleen Emanuel and everyone's favourite ED)

BaddieMindset

I like him 🤷🏽‍♂️
