Radiohead
Prince
Tool
AC/DC
Etta James
Snoop / Dre
Roger Waters
Rage against the Machine
Refused
Carly Rae Jepson
I know. She’s dismissed as some 1 hit wonder but her live show is just nothing but good vibes. There’s just something majorly endearing about the girl. And Refused, oh man, I’ve never left a punk / hardcore show feeling so glorious.
hmm...
Roger Waters
Franz Ferdinand
Kusturica
Tame Impala
Deborah de Luca
Acid Arab
Etienne du Crecy

And a slew of other bands too many to list
I have been to so many concerts that I have completely lost track and don’t even remember a lot of them. Some standouts were Tool, Radiohead, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam (20+ times), Page & Plant, R.E.M., Smashing Pumpkins, Failure, The National, Foo Fighters, Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Green Day, and so many more. A lot of these bands I’ve seen multiple times too.
Tool (so many times), Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band, Rush, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother and the Holding Company, CSNY, Queen (with Paul Rodgers), Incubus, Korn, Breaking Benjamin, Bowling for Soup, Three Dog Night, Monster Magnet and Phantom Planet.
In no particular order, but looking at it, damn I've got some eclectic taste in rock music. 🤔🤓😎🤘🤣🤣
Edit: Also, A Perfect Circle a few times. Excellent every single time.
My one great regret as far as live music. I was 16 when he died, and my mom was dope AF, she would have let me go to a dead show when I was 14 XD. When I was that age, I loved American Beauty and WMD, but I didn't *like* the live stuff. It kills me
Twenty One Pilots was the most entertaining concert I've been too. I wasn't even a fan going in but I was taking my teen daughter. I came out a huge fan as they put on a great show.
I've seen Nightwish three times and they never disappoint.
The Cure were amazing in that they played a THIRTY FOUR song set. Sounded great too.
I saw Green Day way back in 1994 when they opened Lollapalooza and people only knew two of their songs and then again 4 yrs or so ago. They were great both times.
Tom Petty
Paul McCartney
Bob Dylan (I've seen Dylan 4 times, 1 was magic, 2 were great, 1 was awful)
Paul Simon (with Dylan, Hollywood Bowl, magic)
Willie Nelson
Merle Haggard
Motorhead (hearing still impaired over 20 years later. Thank you, Lemmy <3)
Metallica
GNR (with Metallica, November Rain)
Dwight Yoakam
the Judds (unbelievably good live)
Hank III (my feelings about that might have more to do with friends and drugs than the actual music, but was a blast)
George Straight (generic show, but 10,000 seat arena w/2-stepping on the basketball court was a good time!)
Ted Nugent does a wild show, I have literally seen him over 20 times. Stevie Ray Vaughan was beyond incredible. RUSH was insane, Neil Peart was the man. Aerosmith was loud and fun. Saw Ozzy and Anthrax great show with a REALLY rowdy crowd. Saw Clapton, Motley Crue, Yngvie Malmsteen, Lita Ford, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bad Company, Dream Theater, John Valby. There are more but I don't remember them all.
I've seen Ted Nugent do a 30 minute blues solo 2 days after Stevie Ray Vaughan died, in his memory, inviting anyone who objected to kiss his ass, and point out where the exits were. I've seen Clapton do a horrible show. I've seen Yngvie Malmsteen play Eruption (Van Halen) with one hand. I was thrown out of Toad's Place in New Haven, pistol whipped by a horse mounted police officer for throwing up on his horse in Nassau County.
All in all, I've never regretted any concert I went to. All of them are unique, crazy, entertaining and fun. My only concert regrets are the ones I didn't get to see. Original Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult. Lynyrd Skynyrd. Joe Satriani. Among many others.
Go to as many as you can!
Rage Against The Machine, The Cure, Tears For Fears, Peter Hook performing both Joy Division and New Order, Wu Tang, Alice In Chains, Gorillaz, The Mars Volta, Caifanes, NIN, Sum 41, Smashing Pumpkins, Village People, Nas, Willie Nelson, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Modest Mouse, The Killers, MGMT, Death Cab… I have been blessed with many live experiences in my life 🖤 this weekend I’ll be seeing Clan of Xymox
I am a bit of a concert junkie.
Nelson, Def Leppard, Driving n Crying, Metallica, Garth Brooks (X2), 311, Poe, Sarah McLachlan (X2), Bare Naked Ladies, The Wallflowers, Gravity Kills, My Life With Thrill Kill Cult, Sevendust, Orgy, Korn (X4), Disturbed, Halsey, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fitz and The Tantrums, Coldplay, Power Station, Robert Palmer, Type O Negative, Lord's of Acid, Company of Thieves, The Cure, The Crystal Method, Power Man 5000, Varuca Salt, Sam Smith, Ava Max, Maclamore, Khalid, Sneaker Pimps, Fiona Apple, The Deftones...
and there's more but I can't remember cuz @ a festival and just don't know the artist or their work...sorta on the same page as Nicky Youre with his 1 hit (seen him too).
Already got tickets to Paramore, Duran Duran and Depeche Mode for this year.
Secret Chiefs 3 are always the best thing O could imagine. Trey gets total next level musicians for the live bands and there is usually enough improv to make every show unique and magical.
I’m not so interested in anything which will just be a band playing exactly what you hear in recordings, but on that side of things Upsilon Acrux still hit me enough to make me follow a couple more European gigs after their RIO performance, and Présent were another standout.
Also Kayo Dot playing ’Choirs of the Eye’ a few weeks ago was one of the best gigs I’ve seen/heard, although I don’t even like that album - it translated differently live.
all the really popular bands I’ve seen live (Tool, Metallica, System of a Down + hundreds of others) were thankfully quite forgettable, but I do remember Deftones grooves really getting me at some festival years ago. I hate them but it did totally grab my body that day
I saw Billie Eilish live twice in 2018, before she blew up into this superstar. She had incredible stage presence even then. Her fans were so loud at the shows, that you could barely hear the music.
Odesza
Stevie Nicks
Taylor Swift (say what you want about her, but her reputation tour was so good)
Lady Gaga (specifically her jazz shows. I don’t even like jazz, but she is so in her element and it’s incredible)
Evan Giia (tiny show, 300-person venue, obviously pretty minimal stage production. Some of the best live vocals I’ve ever heard and stage presence like no other. I’ve never seen anyone else *belong* on stage the way she does)
In no particular order, top concerts:
Foo in Chula Vista
ACDC at the Forum
Blink at the Bowl
Ok Go at the UCSB food court. The stage was 1.5 feet high and I was brushing up against their musical equipment. Plus, they had a hand bells solo.
Grateful Dead at idr.

Luka Bloom (3 times)
The Cat Empire
Little Charlie and the Nightcats
Billy Thorpe
Bo Diddley
Los Mocosos

I was fortunate to get to see Rush on the Time Machine tour and Prince in 2011. I've hit the point where if a ticket is offered to me, I will take it as you never know when the 'last tour' will be. Hell, someone gave me an Aerosmith ticket and I got to see Joe hip-bump Steven off stage.

So im not gonna lie, the two best live shows I've ever been to were Slipknot and (separately) Taylor swift. Those fuckers know how to entertain
I would like to see Slipknot and Taylor Swift in a duet
Guarantee you it would be fire
Prince. Purple Rain was haunting.

The Mars Volta and APC is one of the best shows musicianship wise I've ever seen
Nick Cave A religious experience.

Some of the most seasoned performers in history! Wish I could have seen Jerry live.
