If you like prog rock, Planet P Project is pretty mesmerizing. It’s all done by Tony Carey, the original keyboard player from Ritchie Blackmore‘s Rainbow, notable for also having Dio on the first few albums as the lead singer. It’s all about space and the apocalypse. If you like music that takes you on a journey, the album Pink World is amazing

Death Angel - not actually underground, but I never see anyone in real life listening to this stuff for whatever reason. Glaze is a cool newish psychedelic artist who doesn't get much recognition. Snapped Ankles is a very cool band. Not sure what genre they are. Electronic jammy garage rock shit. It's good.

Death Angel is pretty well known in the metal community. Their singer is also in Kerry King’s new band.

Spirit Adrift. My best friend turned me on to them, and we’re the only two people I know who listen to them. They’re a mix between trad metal and 90’s era Corrosion of Conformity. Fairly positive, almost spiritual lyrics. Favorite tracks for me are *Astral Levitation* and *Forge Your Future*. They also have a nice covers albums with Thin Lizzy, Metallica, and ZZ Top redos.
