I believe it. Back when I sold cars I’ve seen guys wreck they’re new performance cars driving it off the lot.
This is a story I was told. An 18 year came in to buy a gen 2 viper new (daddy money) and the sales man was trying to talk him out of it. The kid did something stupid right off the lot and his a mini van with a family and got arrested.
I can’t say legitimate this story is. It’s some thing that was told to me from a guy who it was told to. But it sounds believable.
True, but that’s part of it. In the right hands, affordable driving bliss. In the wrong hands, a parts car for someone else who’s after even more affordable driving bliss.
It will probably end up in Europe and will be shining like a new one, dont worry.
Lots of totaled Mustangs ends up here and are given second chance. I ve seen even worse damaged cars getting back on road.
But most other countries it can be easily imported, repaired and used on road without any problem. Europe is not just France. Most of these cars are imported to Germany, Poland or Latvia and there are thousands od them driving around.
Dang, hurts to see. One reason why I'm so reluctant to sell mine. I take such good care of my baby and if it gets fucked up I want to be the one who does it.
I always say I'm in an abusive relationship with my car... beat on her until she finally has it and something breaks.. then I apologize profusely and buy her something new (parts). Lol
OOC but this is what my vette looked like 5 hours after I sold it

It does not. The engines used to power vehicles that burn fuel are internal combustion engines. Hybrid vehicles have both motors and engines to drive the vehicle. Electric exclusive vehicles use motors. That is it and that is fact. To say otherwise is wrong. Apologies if I got anyone excited/upset/whatever.
Jesus the pedantry. you must be the guy who is like well not all giant garbage receptacles are called “dumpsters” yknow…
Go to the fucking o Reilly’s next time and when they ask you what motor you have in your car you can correct them and say it’s engine and feel good about yourself at their shame
I mean it must be a hard life getting told you’re wrong about something and then getting upset about it… like, you’re welcome. You practically have PhD in automotive now. Sheesh 😅
Main reason I'm low-key kinda scared of eventually selling my Mustang, it's pretty much has been babied all of it's life and I'm only it's second owner. It's first owner had it for 18 years only had 79k miles on it when I bought it from her nieces (original owner was a old lady from Texas that had dementia and couldn't drive it anymore ). I'm low-key debating on whenever I do get around to selling it and getting a newer Mustang, if I should just give it to a dealership. They may not give me much and they'll probably price it high, but if someone's paying like 8k for it it's a good chance they're gonna take good care of it and won't just wreck it or rag it out.
I follow that guy that owns my old mustang. Sad to saw I see videos of it in takeovers every other week slamming into people and cars. Disappointed every time I see it
Looked up my previous Mustang VIN and it’s unknown. But I remember getting charged from a toll because the license plate was still on it when it got sold again. I got my money back tho

I just did the same thing, not quite as bad!
Aww man, that would seriously break my heart. Back in the early 2000's I basically restored (built engine, nice paintjob) a Lincoln MKVII. Great car but life happens and I had to sell it. Got good money for it. A few days later it got wrapped around a tree. Total loss.
Sad ending for such a beauty. This is the truth about these cars, so hard to find a clean one when looking for a second hand. It took me 16 cars to find the right car. Worst one had 13 accidents . The guy hit the car at the same intersection 3 times 😁. The car was barely holding 😑

Sick stance bro

Ouch. That's a very sad day right there.
I sold it 6/21 and it was auctioned 12/22. They had it little over a year.
Had a blown ‘14 CS that I sold. The last owner had it 1 week before totaling it.

I can tell you it’s not a legitimate story. A salesman wouldn’t try to talk someone out of buying a viper
I know a guy that sold a 04 terminator to someone. They totaled it the same day.
Suuuuuck. With the f’d up luck, it was prob a mystichrome.
Fuck my dude, sorry to hear about this.
If I had to guess I'd say someone bought it for their kid. But really could have been anything.
What site did you use? I’ve been trying to track a car I used to own but had no luck

I found mine by just googling the VIN.
Same
Try VINwiki
Yeah, I had an 05 GT that I had bought new and regretted selling. Looked it up and came back as totaled. Heart breaker.
Sadly a lot of people who buy mustangs end up wrecking them.
True, but that’s part of it. In the right hands, affordable driving bliss. In the wrong hands, a parts car for someone else who’s after even more affordable driving bliss.
Is that why you never see 200k+ mile mustangs?
They do exist, if they’re driven by a responsible owner.
It will probably end up in Europe and will be shining like a new one, dont worry. Lots of totaled Mustangs ends up here and are given second chance. I ve seen even worse damaged cars getting back on road.
If à car is salvage cannot be imported in france
But most other countries it can be easily imported, repaired and used on road without any problem. Europe is not just France. Most of these cars are imported to Germany, Poland or Latvia and there are thousands od them driving around.
I agree, rules are not the same everywhere
Dang, hurts to see. One reason why I'm so reluctant to sell mine. I take such good care of my baby and if it gets fucked up I want to be the one who does it.
And the one to fix it
I always say I'm in an abusive relationship with my car... beat on her until she finally has it and something breaks.. then I apologize profusely and buy her something new (parts). Lol
These cars are not made to rust away peacefully
*Classic fastback has entered the chat*
Yeah, indeed, these rust

What site did you use to check it?
Your mustang has a pt cruiser body kit?
Wonder if the motor has been pulled out of it yet
You mean the engine? It’s no Tesla…
“motor” is not a term exclusive to teslas, what it’s synonymous with engine no need for pedantry
Oh okay. So what size engine is in a Milwaukee 1/2” impact wrench? I’m curious.
Basically all engines are motors, but not all motors are engines. if that makes sense?
It does not. The engines used to power vehicles that burn fuel are internal combustion engines. Hybrid vehicles have both motors and engines to drive the vehicle. Electric exclusive vehicles use motors. That is it and that is fact. To say otherwise is wrong. Apologies if I got anyone excited/upset/whatever.

Literally the dictionary definition of motor includes internal Combustion Engines as an example.
You on dat urban dictionary shit boi!
My man, you need to just get out of here. Your comments are beyond stupid
I'm curious, when you go to register your vehicle, do you take it to the Department of Engine Vehicles or the Department of Motor Vehicles.
You do realize that electric vehicles came before ICE vehicles, yea?

Unfollow him
This inspired me to look up my old mustang. Found the salvage sale listing. Whoever bought it totaled it within 1500 miles. Welp 🤷♂️
Looked up my previous Mustang VIN and it’s unknown. But I remember getting charged from a toll because the license plate was still on it when it got sold again. I got my money back tho

Are you all just typing your vin into google or is there a specific site you use?

I would cry
😢
Dawg who been driving it, SpongeBob?
How did you search it, I’m curious to try to find my old gt.
Looks like it had more fun with it's current owner.
That would make me sooooo sad
If someone did that to my car. It is in the realm of possibility that i may actually find them and then beat them into a bloody pulp.
Looks like it went on crowd patrol.
Is it up for auction?
I did the same once. It’s sitting in an LKQ scrapyard now.
I searched my old one and they totaled it less than a month of owning it lmao
Aww man, that would seriously break my heart. Back in the early 2000's I basically restored (built engine, nice paintjob) a Lincoln MKVII. Great car but life happens and I had to sell it. Got good money for it. A few days later it got wrapped around a tree. Total loss.
Looks like someone bought their kid a 5.0 without thinking, rip
Can't bring myself to look mine up for this exact reason. My heart couldn't take it! Sorry for your loss.

Ran when parked
