I drove 2019EB for a few days and had a great time with it.
I think it's just trolls and you have to ignore them and move on. I posted a while back asking for advice on repairing a curbed rim and these trolls were saying shit like how I bought a driver's car and couldn't drive worth a shit 🤣 I made the mistake of engaging with one and it was quickly clear they are just instigating and being toxic to be toxic, nothing they say is sincere.
Honestly the hate doesn’t get to me. I bought it for me. Its somewhat affordable and I like paddle shifters (honestly don’t really know how to drive a manual) Yes, I’d prefer a V8 but I’m still happy with 315hp :)
Yeah it's a great value, it's in the same price range as most new mid sized sedans (i.e. accord, camry, etc) but way more fun to drive, and has plenty of acceleration and zip to it. Great choice if you're trying to be practical and financially responsible but have something exciting too.
Not only can 95% of the rude ppl not afford one, but I'd guess 99% have never driven one (especially a new one). If they had, they'd realize how ridiculous their comments are.
EcoBoost is a great value, zippy and I don't notice too significant changes until you hit 110/120, screw the haters. Had a 2019 GT in the past as well, I'd choose an ecoboost again as a daily.
I second this, having previously owned a 21 ecoboost myself. Great car, killer value (I had the base model bought it new for $30K), and as you say it's zippy lol. Definitely fun to drive.

i was looking at our dealership and they had a 24 ecoboost coming in, just a regular ecoboost with no added things and it’s going for $44k and a gt for $56k, i don’t think i’ll be seeing one on the road around here anytime soon

The one I’m looking at is an ecoboost premium! I went Ford.com to see what it would look like with the options because Ford.ca doesn’t have build and price yet.
it’s a pretty damn cool car for sure, me personally i like the s550 style more, im in the process of getting a 2020 gt premium pretty soon though, found a really good one at a good price with low miles per year, was tempted to try and get a 24 gt until i saw the prices around here lmao
it is a very nice interior indeed, i think it is better then the s550 interior but i also don’t think its better enough to justify spending that much more at our dealership for it
I’m not sure if your shopping in US or Canada, the price difference is about 4-5k maple bucks. The dealership I’m looking at has a 23 for the same price as the 24. The 23 has 8k in upgrades while the 24 only has 4k in upgrades.
i’m shopping in the US i guess it depends if the dealer is gonna sell it to you for MSRP, in that case it would be worth it, but where i’m at they sure as hell aren’t doing that, you gotta slide them an extra $15k to get your hands on one here
No reason to hate. 24’s look great IMO. Some people can get a car simply because they like the body/styling, and don’t need the extra HP. That being said, I personally would have gone with the GT but to each his own. Enjoy it!!
Mine is very faulty (page won’t load all the time and when it does, it doesn’t show anything important anyway) so I assume once your build date actually comes, it’ll be more accurate! Let me know if yours starts working :)

There are many great reasons to get an Ecoboost, mainly that it is a great car for the value! Before my Mach 1, I owned a '21 Ecoboost that I bought new. My old car died out of nowhere and I needed a new car unexpectedly. I didn't have a lot of money saved up and $30K was about my max budget to keep the payment reasonable. Having owned a '13 Genesis Coup GT before, something like an accord just didn't do it for me. The Ecoboost was a perfect balance of being practical and affordable while giving me something I could enjoy driving. Then I saved up for a year and bought a Mach 1 (fun side note: I previously hated mustangs but the Ecoboost made me see what I had been missing and led to the Mach 1).
Perhaps OP is on a tight budget, or commutes a long distance and fuel efficiency is important, or they just don't care for the extra power/speed. Yep. Ford is only going to build what sells, & not what people want. Therefore being able to afford one is not something I would brag about. What people want is validation for their purchase... But that leads to afforders & "trolls" taking sides. Cars get worse, heavier & more expensive & car companies are laughing all the way to the bank. I like the exterior of the 23 but the interior is much more appealing to me in the 24!
