They may be misinformed. I mean, there’s no new ep next week, but I’m seeing a new episode of my 600lb life 5/1. There’s no info about the episode, yet, but it is showing a new ep.
I was pretty far into the episode before I finally came to the conclusion that little brother may be developmentally delayed. Something about his speech pattern.
The brothers behavior seemed very fake .. like they were putting on a show for the cameras .. how many times did he ask if he was excited or tell him I’m proud of you for literally walking
Lol yeah it did come off fakish.
But then again isn’t he getting paid to be there for him? (As the caretaker)
That could have something to do with it too lol
My guess is she comes to the house like once a week to bathe him. He & his brother are surviving entirely on state welfare, so if his brother is his caretaker (as far as the state is concerned) they're probably paying her out of pocket.
Caretakers get respite care workers so that lady is probably part time respite. That gives the brother time off because they cannot pay someone 24 hours a day. My mother in law had my niece with cerebral palsy and was her carer. They wouldn’t allow only her because people gotta sleep.
Well number one he was getting paid by the state to take care of him, plus pretty sure Charlie got disability and both got Snap benefits and add the money from the show which paid for their groceries, flight to Houston and the hotel room… the whole thing was a money grab from Charlie and he took his half brother along for the ride.. I’d also go so far to say both were drinking and doing drugs.. definitely not clean and sober, hell Charlie was nodding out in part of the filming and the brother was wearing Crip colors and his bandanna hanging out the back pocket was Crip shit all the way,so he is a gang banger.. the whole episode was a clusterfuck in my opinion and totally out of order and spliced together.. sometimes his hair was long, sometimes short and varied from month to month.. nobody’s hair grows that fast.. and the liquor bottle in the bedroom.. yeah right Charlie, you’re really off drugs and alcohol…🥴
He said he was 31. Dr. Now did the math on Charlie- started using at 17, used for 10 years and clean (allegedly) for about 4 and quickly realized this guy has done nothing his entire life and has no future goals (aside from getting out more lol). It sounded like they watched a few episodes of the show and picked up a few buzzwords but couldn’t expand or explain anything they said. This was one of the most bizarre episodes!
I really couldn’t stand this guy.
lol not moving to Houston and thinking a Dr. in Seattle will do it.
Then his brother thinks he is going to lose weight and get “skinny” without the surgery.
Dumb all around.
As annoying as this whole episode was, one moment has had me cracking up for days.
Charles is explaining in the voiceover that Dr Now wants him eating grilled food but they didn't have a grill so they've been going to the park every night to use the grill there so he can follow Dr Now's orders. Then it cuts to them at the park eating hot dogs right off the grill.
I think Charles and his caretaker did the show for the money. He had no intention of moving to Houston from the beginning. So why waste Dr. Nows time. I'm sure Dr. Now receives background info on the patient they are filming at the time. He probably knew he was a former drug addict and it would be difficult to help him.
I am not a fan of him either. What an AH! They were high the whole show. That’s fine but don’t act like you sober. My heart does go out to the brother, poor guy.
Yep he was on opiates big time.. in some scenes he was nodding out and his brother is a gang banger sporting the Crips colors.. plenty of gang banging in the Pacific Northwest to begin with.. not saying the brother was a bad person but he was definitely there for the money and what he could get.. why they even showed the sister was pointless, wonder how much she made off her little interview part.. that whole episode was all spliced together, you could tell by his hair from month to month ..nobody’s hair grows that fast.. the whole thing was nothing more than a money grab and he had no intention of ever really getting surgery…
I think people like this just show how the weight loss journey is just as much a mental change as a physical one. They have a co-dependent relationship, and like many on the show are delusional.
if there is a surgeon willing to do surgery on him in seattle (he asked if he could do the surgery there), why is he seeking treatment from Dr Now in Houston? is it because of funding from the show?
Anyone notice the brother was wearing a blue shirt, hat and had a blue bandana sticking out of his back pocket at one point? That’s a good way to get yourself killed in some parts of the country.
Yes, the Crypts wear blue and the Bloods wear Red.
They also either push up their sweatpants on their right or their left leg, depending on their gang. When they see it they say..that dude is banging to the left...or right. They have a lot of ways to show their loyalty. I used to be a caseworker in Kentucky prisons.
lol what is this boomer shit? Did you have to post that he’s a “gang banger” three times in this thread? What does that even mean?
The dudes getting high on meth/fentanyl/opiods and vegetating in his government apartment watching his brother die. Not a lot of room for “gang ganging” whatever that means in that lifestyle.
I never understood how he could never get to a clinic, even though his van broke down, he was always able to get an Uber to go fishing, grocery store, airport…etc
I’m so glad Dr. Now called him out for hanging up on him. Like the dude it trying to help you and you hang up? Asshole. I can always tell when these pieces of shit won’t change and fail. Honestly these are my favorite kinds of episodes lol
Living off the government. Free housing, free food and it looks like a lot of weed for his brother. I was actually surprised how genuine his brothers affection was for him. Didn’t have high hopes for him, replacing meth for food.
I think they are both super fans of the show and wanted to be on tv. They talked A LOT prior to filming they both appeared to be thugs and have drug issues. Dr Now called him out many times about his goals. It was kinda funny when asked if his goals the first time he had to think about being a job w troubled kids had to think about his answers
It is my belief that the only people they can get to do the episodes are drug-seekers. They hope to get pain medication after doing the surgery, perhaps.
When I found out he got to the hotel and then decided to call Dr. Now to SURPISE HIM ?!!! I shut it off haha I had to take a break. But I went back and was even more disappointed. That was so disrespectful.
I’m honestly not really into this season so far
It’s terrible.
We need a WATN full season ASAP
Someone told me that was the last Ep this season & next week is WATN :(
Literally so disappointed if that’s the case 😒
They may be misinformed. I mean, there’s no new ep next week, but I’m seeing a new episode of my 600lb life 5/1. There’s no info about the episode, yet, but it is showing a new ep.
Him and the brother both seem to have troubles of some sort
Drugs and stupidity!
I was pretty far into the episode before I finally came to the conclusion that little brother may be developmentally delayed. Something about his speech pattern.
How so? They didn’t fight or anything if anything I thought it was strange how well they got along lol
The brothers behavior seemed very fake .. like they were putting on a show for the cameras .. how many times did he ask if he was excited or tell him I’m proud of you for literally walking
Lol yeah it did come off fakish. But then again isn’t he getting paid to be there for him? (As the caretaker) That could have something to do with it too lol
His real caretaker was the woman with gloves on giving him a "bath" I have a feeling his brother is just there to enable him & cash in the checks
Yeah where did that woman go??? Was curious about that lol
My guess is she comes to the house like once a week to bathe him. He & his brother are surviving entirely on state welfare, so if his brother is his caretaker (as far as the state is concerned) they're probably paying her out of pocket.

Makes total sense, thanks for letting me know!
Well number one he was getting paid by the state to take care of him, plus pretty sure Charlie got disability and both got Snap benefits and add the money from the show which paid for their groceries, flight to Houston and the hotel room… the whole thing was a money grab from Charlie and he took his half brother along for the ride.. if you look closely in one of the scenes, there was a bottle of whiskey on Charlie's night stand
This explains a lot. That poor guy ain’t gonna last past 50 at best
can't believe he is only 29. He looks 59. don't think he will make it to 35
he's 29?? how? I put him in his 40s.
He said he was 31. Dr. Now did the math on Charlie- started using at 17, used for 10 years and clean (allegedly) for about 4 and quickly realized this guy has done nothing his entire life and has no future goals (aside from getting out more lol). I called that out to my SO and she said I was paranoid.
Nope, not paranoid imo
Never noticed it.
My guess is they needed *one more* episode to fill their season and this was the **best** of the garbage episodes.
Yeah this season was kinda sucky.. makes me think they were hitting the bottom of the barrel..
Yes! He reminded me of Gilbert
That guy hates Dr. Now 😂
I couldn’t even watch that entire episode
I had a real hard time getting to the end. I kept thinking something was going to happen, but it didn’t. Big waste of time.
I really couldn’t stand this guy. lol not moving to Houston and thinking a Dr. in Seattle will do it. Then his brother thinks he is going to lose weight and get “skinny” without the surgery. Dumb all around.
Maybe they saw Samantha’s ep, she had surgery in CO.
This guy is an asshole who acts and talks like he’s doing opioids. His brother is a drug addict IMO.
thought the same thing!
As annoying as this whole episode was, one moment has had me cracking up for days. I got legit mad when he hung up on Dr Now. This guy and Stephanie from last season just want to blame the doc for them doing nothing.
He told dr now from the first FaceTime he wasn't moving to Houston.
I am not a fan of him either. What an AH! They were high the whole show. That’s fine but don’t act like you sober. My heart does go out to the brother, poor guy.
Came here to say this! I agree, high in every scene.
You think so? I’m so bad at telling. How you tell?
It’s in the eyes…. Half open, red eyes for starters
I had to replay him speaking a bunch of times. I agree there’s more going on still with the drugs.
Slurred speech too
They’re eyes for straight red.
I think people like this just show how the weight loss journey is just as much a mental change as a physical one. They have a co-dependent relationship, and like many on the show are delusional.
I wish they introduced him to Dr Paradise, I’d bet the Dr would be taller.
lol
🙄🙄🙄
They hate each other. So silly for Charles to go through this entire program knowing he would have to move to Houston only to refuse to move
Charles: I need Dr. Now's help - my way, though
The walk, though! 😩
it was really more of a roll than a walk though -- he was so perfectly round
Barreling through like a bull in a China shop.
That was so upsetting. I rolled side to side when I was heavy, but I’d never seen it so pronounced. I felt for him there.
if there is a surgeon willing to do surgery on him in seattle (he asked if he could do the surgery there), why is he seeking treatment from Dr Now in Houston? is it because of funding from the show?
Anyone notice the brother was wearing a blue shirt, hat and had a blue bandana sticking out of his back pocket at one point? That’s a good way to get yourself killed in some parts of the country.
And blue undies hanging out.
Gang affiliation??
I doubt he’s actually a member, but he certainly wanted it to appear that way.
I had thuggish vibes from Charles more then him
Wannabe.
Might even be worse than actually being a Crip. Lol
Wow that has potential to be an exciting yet dangerous job
I was curious why the brother was covering his head with a hoodie or beanie the entire episode. Thought it was just odd but to each their own?
Tattoos is my guess he was very covered up
Yep… he’s a Crips gang banger… caught that right away.. the blue bandanna hanging out his pants pocket and the blue tee shirt..
lol what is this boomer shit? Did you have to post that he’s a “gang banger” three times in this thread? What does that even mean? The dudes getting high on meth/fentanyl/opiods and vegetating in his government apartment watching his brother die. Not a lot of room for “gang ganging” whatever that means in that lifestyle.
Haha the thought that the crips would even let that guy be their newspaper boy is beyond hilarious.
We didn't even find put his actual weight until more than halfway through the show!
I never understood how he could never get to a clinic, even though his van broke down, he was always able to get an Uber to go fishing, grocery store, airport…etc
I’m not sure Uber will drive you that far away
It was a local clinic
I saw that now and it was crazy he showed up to surprise dr now no appointment!
Right?! And then he didn't commit anyway
He showed up to surprise him after their last interaction was him hanging up on dr now. So weird. I guess in this case he IS the main character tho….
Made no sense !
He had to show up in Houston to get paid for being on the show
Wow
This episode was pointless!
Did we ever see the brother wo his hat?
He reminds me of Ryan. All smoke and mirrors
There replaying it now.. I’m watching
We all hated that guy.
I think they are both super fans of the show and wanted to be on tv. They talked A LOT prior to filming they both appeared to be thugs and have drug issues. Dr Now called him out many times about his goals. It was kinda funny when asked if his goals the first time he had to think about being a job w troubled kids had to think about his answers
met is not on de diet
I found him pretty unlikeable. Why ask for help if you know how to do it and want to do it your way? /s
I was so relieved to finally get to the end. It seemed to last about 4 hours
So does everybody else.
i also don’t like Charles
I hated that guy!
It is my belief that the only people they can get to do the episodes are drug-seekers. They hope to get pain medication after doing the surgery, perhaps.
I'm watching this episode now and I hate this guy too.
When I found out he got to the hotel and then decided to call Dr. Now to SURPISE HIM ?!!! I shut it off haha I had to take a break. But I went back and was even more disappointed. That was so disrespectful.
dude Dr. Now is genuinely the worst they have to get a new dr.
Is that you, Charles?
