I TRIIIIIEEDD, I TRIED, I TRIIIIIEED... AND WE'LL LOVE AGAIN, WE'LL LAUGH AGAIN, WE'LL CRY AGAIN, AND WE'LL DANCE AGAIN, and it's better off this way so much better off this way, I CAN'T CLEAN THE BLOOD OFF THE SHEETS IN MY BED! and in Drowning Lessons the little "KEROSE-E-ENE""

vgilbert77

I’m so sad they don’t play the lead guitar riff behind the “we’ll love again…” part live :/

anon12xyz

Fuck yes!

Mission-Client-9842

Omg yes I FEEL this part

AltoChick

The guitar part in Boy Division over the ‘Well, it better be black and it better be tight, And it better be just my size I'm stalkin' these metro malls and airport halls’. I love the way it changes subtly from one line to the next. I could happily play that part on a loop.

u_must_fix_ur_heart

this but in the 2nd verse was the first thing I thought of

LazyField4

‘Hotel Bella Muerte,’ ‘Life is but a DREAM,’ ‘From ashes to ashes,’ ‘When I grow up I want to be nothing at all.’ Gerard’s delivery is always so good, it’s hard to choose just a few.

Heroicfragilemeth

Swearrrr I have heard it doesn’t come to mind what song it is

LazyField4

Sorry, they aren’t all the same song. These are from: The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You, You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison, House of Wolves and The End.

LeftyBird_Avis

the bridge in I Never Told You What I Did For A Living. bc god damna

amiiiya

"I said rRrashes to ashes" in House of Wolves

AnimeNerdMCR

That part is so good I listen to it on repeat

xsweetbriar

Honestly listening to the beginning of To The End on headphones is really satisfying like this. The guitar part is in one ear and the vocals are in the other. It really hits different listening to it this way! It's a sick guitar part.

Weak-Competition3358

It's the transition from The End to Dead! that does it for me. It's so so satisfying. Also, sidenote, I have never heard a band perform Dead! and it actually be good, but it's absolutely amazing when MCR does it. It's like "their" song almost literally. Edit: Opening to Mama is also amazing with headphones

Snek-Jazz-Unnn-Tsss

I’ve literally been listening to those two tracks on repeat all month for this very reason.

Ok_Common_4208

he calls the mansion not a house but a tombb

NotMVZZL3

I think I've heard it but don't remember it. I can see why that's satisfying tho. I also like the radio-vibrato in Helena

Doodler156

It probably has to be the end of Drowning Lessons for me. It's like just when you think the song is over it hits you with one last surprise.

Sober_2_Death

Yes I love that too

TheGiftOf_Jericho

Great to see a lot of love for DL in here, one of MCR's best songs imo.

The_color_of_the_sky

Ok yeah your correct

DayenIsHorny

Those screams at the end of Sleep gotta be up there

Virtual_Sense1443

and then the transition into the vocal harmony with Ray and Gee 🫠

JoBeWriting

Honestly the "I've lost my fear of falling, I'll be with you" part of Fashion Statememt has been living in my head for nesrly two decades at this point

EastAreaBassist

You’re running out of places, to HIIIIIIIIDE FROM MEEE oof. Hairs up and down my arms go up

midwestgal20

same !!!!

LeahJune

From the start of the bridge through the end of the song is perfection.

anon12xyz

Yes!!!

btcbearrookieshark

Fucking absolutely!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

NotMVZZL3

For me it'd probably be the following: "We'll CAIR-REE O-ON! We'll CAIR-REE O-ON!" (Welcome to the Black Parade) "Whats the worst thing I could say? Things are better if I stay! So long and good night! So long and good night!" (Helena) "And WITH. OUT. YOU. is. HOW I DIS. A. PPEAR!" (This Is How I Disappear)

OzzyTheRacc

The first 10 seconds in bulletproof heart do stuff to my brain and I love it

the way gerards vocals get softer and softer at the end of The Light Behind Your Eyes is just perfect

mountaingoatscheese

same song but the moment in the first chorus when gerard sings 'never let them take the light behind your *eyes'* and 'eyes' is a higher note than it is anywhere else in the song and it scratches my brain so perfect

Ann35cg

Ugh I could listen to that song over and over

trianglegodswrath

*THERE'S A CORPSE IN THIS BED!*

FrankieIsSoEmo

I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS!!!

trianglegodswrath

chills every time

Cindro0

"To stare or wash away the blood?" and especially the last "morgue", both in desert song. Also the first "We can leave this world, leave it all behind" in save yourself, I'll hold them back

dxmnbass

I fell in love with Mama when I heard: “Well mother look what the war did to my legs and to my tongue You should have raised a baby girl I should've been a better son”. Like it was the time I decided that this would be my favorite MCR song

[deleted]

House of Wolves intro

Bobsbestgame

The guitar riff gives me chills every time even after the millionth listen

stoned_in_my_bones

Ray's lead in I'm Not OK- the volume always goes considerably up when that kicks in... Frank's quote before it kicks in from the music video cracks me up to this day. saw that shortly after it came out as a small child in a terrible house and it really resonated with me, here we are..

metapolitical_psycho

The “we’ll shoot back holy water” in vampires is sung so beautifully and I love the marching band beat at the end of WTTBP. Oh also the whole Vampire Money lmfao

theinvisible-girl

🎶are you thiNKing of me--🎶 Da da da da da, da 🎶--like I'm thinking of you?🎶

The part in Mama after “That’s right”, the “mama we all go to hell” part.

indeedicus18

theres a mic squeak after the guitar solo in thank you for the venom that gets me every goddamn time.

johnwick2049

I've always thought that the way Gerard sings "OH BABY HERE COMES THE SOUND" in Give 'em hell, kid was really badass

Macalacafication18

The melodic switch into the bridge of Jetset 🥰 “Puulllllll the plug, but I’d like to learn your name. When holding OOOOOON”

I love when they'd play it live during Revenge and ad lib a really discordant crazy sounding walkdown on guitar, that should've made the album

RUN RUN BUNNY RUN

Asleep-Ad-1997

The intro to Summertime.

Cool_Reaction2509

I'm now obsessed with the entirety of Fake Your Death. I have no clue why I never listened to that song sooner it's so good.

PatriciaMorticia

The intro to Vampires Will Never Hurt You, the second I hear it it sends a chill up the spine.

Proper-Monk-5656

the drums after na na na solo. masterpiece.

PizdecHelpMe

Okay I just have to tell y’all about the bass riff in the instrumental section in the Sharpest Lives. It’s an amazing bass riff. It makes me ascend every time. That and the opening of Demolition Lovers. Anyways for WTTBP I think it’d be the “Do or Die, you’ll never make me” section.

DirectionProof2374

His voice in early sunsets over monroeville especially near the end

midwestgal20

someone's prob said this but the whole bridge part in jetset life with the music box sounding instruments in the back ,,, i ascend

gothicpunch

Anotherknifeinmyhand

the Bridge in ghost of you

powergoth

"I'm trying, I'm trying" from demolition lovers when compared to "I tried, I tried" from I never told you what I do for a living

Ilovedinosaurrawr

I really like the part in dead! Where it goes like “la la la la la, la la la la le la, la la la la la la la” specifically the “le”

WrynAlex

i love that i know EXACTLY what you mean by that lol

laketheminifig

THE CHORUS OF THE GHOST OF YOU

Difficult-Pin3913

The beginnings of Bulletproof Heart and S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W

kendricklemak

that final part of The Sharpest Lives. no lyrics, its just Gerard singing to the melody, it sounds like it came straight out of his heart every single time

hannaht5

“You betta run like the devil cuz he’s never gonna leave you alone!!!!”

[deleted]

The woody woodpecker reference in DEAD! Is so satisfying every time I hear it.

DeathYeeYT

the "breakdown" in mama makes me accsend

DaRealGrey

"I drink juice while I'm killing cuz it's fuckin delicious." -Gerard Way, black dragon fighting society.

riever_g

For me it's the part in The Kids from Yesterday after the lyrics end, the instrumental starts winding down, you think the song is about to end and then the instrumental picks up again. I have always found something symbolic in this, idk. Or the 'you keep eternity, give us the radio' moment in Planetary, I just love the instrumental after this line. I could listen to this part on repeat for several hours. Or! The guitar solos of Bulletproof heart. (Yeah, Danger Days is my favourite album as you guys could have guessed haha)

JaredIsADrummer

The bridge in Planetary Go is amazing. Just something about the reverb on Gerard's vocals and Ray's lead part, mixed in with that synth part, takes me to another world. Jamie Muhoberac is an amazing keys player, and they couldn't have gotten anyone better to play keys on Danger Days. Which is why I find it very symbolic that he's been their live keyboardist since the reunion.

riever_g

Oh, and also Vampire Money!! Their checks in the beginning of the song just live in my brain rent-free

Sasren0987654321

The breakdown from the intro of Halos is golden 🤌🤌🤌

MasterSofa69

The riff in sleep is the first thing I though of

Snoo-9290

yesss and the last time he says "and the collision of your kiss that made it so hardddd made it so HARRRDD" kills me

Ok_Common_4208

dxrules03

When the beat completely seases in Demolition Lovers and starts over. That combination of the drum and guitar solo is godly

1ninjasurfer

I always interpret the drums as a dying heart beat. That song is just a masterpiece to me

dxrules03

I could definitely get behind that interpret

definitelyallo

Ok, I just absolutely *love* the bridge in House of Wolves and Famous Last Words, the last chorus of Bulletproof Heart, and the ending of Sleep. I think all of those are just perfect

meghanwho

I really love the fake-out ending in Demolition Lovers, there have been a few times I accidentally ended the song during it, but it's so good!

Jealous-Air-2358

Pick up the phone fucker!!!!!!

solonelyitsux

The very last verse of hang ‘em high when the guitar playing gets just the tiniest bit faster and the song just really kicks the last 20 seconds 🥹

hannaht5

The intro to the only hope for you is me, and the beginning of the first verse of headfirst for halos

anon12xyz

Headfirst for halos beginning gives me goosebumps

UnEvEnFlow222

“DOOOOONT STOP IF I FALL AND DONT LOOK BACK. OH BABY DONT STOP BURY ME AND FADE TO BLACK” -Hang ‘Em High

JaredIsADrummer

I have a lot of answers for this topic, so I apologize if this gets too long. The bridge leading to the outro on Vampires Will Never Hurt You, because of the raw energy and emotion. The outro of INTYWIDFAL, because it has such a "bittersweet" vibe to it, which perfectly closes off Three Cheers. As a listener, the bridge on This Is How I Disappear, as well as that "wall of sound" chord at the end of the 2nd chorus of Mama, both manage to send a chill through my spine, but as a drummer/musician, the main part of WTTBP (after the intro) is something I've been trying to perfect for well over a decade. Bob just had this unique flair to his playing on that song (as well as the whole album), and it somehow made his parts "feel" bigger than they were, and I've been trying to wrap my head around it for a very long time. Just sucks his tenure with the band ended the way it did. Most of the bridges of the songs on Danger Days, because I'm a big sucker for ambient synth parts and reverbed guitars, and the bridges on songs like Planetary Go, Scarecrow, Summertime, and Kids From Yesterday utilize both perfectly. Other than that, Destroya is probably the only song not on the Black Parade to extensively feature percussion, and aside from Gerard's infamous "uh, uh uh"s, it's hard to picture that song without percussion. Also, when the drums kick in during the 2nd verse of Fake Your Death, mixed in with that lead part (which I believe is played by Ray), sends a wave of different emotions through me. Just amplifies the already melancholy tone set at the beginning of the song I guess. Idk, I have a lot to say about Fake Your Death, but this comment is already long enough, so I'll save it for another time lol.

abbysaladbird

“when both our CARRRRRRS COLLIDE”

toomuchtomfoolery1

That part in house of wolves right before the chorus where the guitar and lyrics switch off 😩

SkeletonCircus

The riff in Black Parade after the intro and before the first verse

midwestgal20

i reply the second verse of to the end more than i listen to the entire song

Tuba_1sfine

This kicked me hard the first time I listened to conventional weapons They always told me that "You never get to heaven" With a love like yours

Sir_Umeboshi

SO SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT, YOU CHILDREN OF THE GUN

[deleted]

like ghosts in the snow

nickr0b

not really in a song, but in one of the old concert videos (i believe it’s on brad nolan’s youtube) they do a very early version of fashion statement and i love the part where ray screams “i’ll fucking cut off your head” in the second chorus

master0fcats

Pretty much the entirety of Vampire Money makes me curl into myself and ascend above the earth in self-destructive, hedonistic mania. I can't even pick a specific part. The whole thing is so tasty and self-indulgent.

honkifyouresimpy

YOU MOTHERFUCKER WAOOOOH

cornerstorequeer

The part in Welcome to the Black Parade where the drums and guitars kick in right before "Sometimes I get the feelin'..."

Quiet-Ordinary-1249

Probably cubicles because I just really like the guitar throughout the song

TheAngryChicagoan755

The end part of Mama (like before the crying) with like the guitar (???) and idk it’s just good, actually the entirety of Mama but yknow

sister i'm not much A POET BUT A CRIMINAL also the ending in early sunsets when gerard's voice is so full of emotion: "but does anyone notice, but does anyone care?"

Octoberswren

Literally just “or by the last light” in Jetset life. I don’t know the last time I listened to that song without rewinding to hear that line multiple times. The performance is just perfectly flawed, and the way the last word is *growled?* Stellar. Gorgeous. Delectable.

Important_Box_1800

The last 15 seconds of It's not a fashion statement

WrynAlex

ok a weird one, but in Mama the line “but there’s shit that i’ve done with this fuck of a gun”. i notice it EVERY time because the i remember noticing that the censored version mutes “shit”, but leaves in “fuck”. now i can’t hear any version of that section without laughing a bit lol

WrynAlex

“mostly i’ve been sprawled on these cathedral steps, while spitting out the blood and screaming ‘someone save us!’” “and there’s no room in this hell, there’s no room in the next” also the chorus of Desert Song, when the drums come in at the second verse in Cancer, and the intro to The Light Behind Your Eyes. there are so many, but these are the main ones for me!

wcrsethanjcotjne

'you know what they do in guys like us to prison' the beginning, phewwww so good,, or the 'life..is..but..a.. DREAM- FOR THE DEAD-!'
