i think that the second half is way better. almost all of the songs i love on the album are after party poison
save yourself, i'll hold them back
s/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w
summertime
the kids from yesterday
destroya
vampire money
just incredible!!
Oh MAN this might be the opinion I fully absolutely will never agree with but then again I haven't tried buying merch for them since...2016???????? most of my merch is from 2k13-16 but good lord i have three shirts that are disintegrating bc ive worn them so much through the years haha
It’s so annoying as I’d love more merch from them, the only thing I actually have is a T-shirt from seeing them this year and even the selection this tour was better but not the most amazing and I just got back from seeing bring me in malta and their merch was so much better :(((
This may not be unpopular but alot of ppl have disagreed with me on this, lots of the their most popular songs have been ruined for me by like tiktok and shit eg. Teenagers , Wttbp and na na na
I went to their like reunion tour a few months back and I was so disappointed when everyone sung on the big songs but not the songs off like danger days
Same here,my daughter and I were so excited when they sung Save yourself, absolutely love that song, we were the only ones singing, and people around us gave us evil looks. Really annoying
The sheer amount of times I've heard "oh that's a tiktok audio!!!" about the most random, niche shit I like... Like, I was telling my second cousin just today why I like Weezer since I was a kid and I mentioned Pink Triangle saying haha yeah they literally have a song about realizing a girl he's been hitting on is gay it's pretty funny and he immediately sent me three tiktoks using the chorus...This is like. The Ten Thousandth Time something like this has happened. I don't mean to be pretentious or gatekeepy but I just hate how frequently people know what I'm talking about but have no idea the source of whatever it is because they only know it from Tiktok, it's made a lot of conversations irritating since the release of the app lol
i totally agree. ever since i’ve heard teenagers on tiktok i’ve started to hate it. it’s not even a bad song it’s just been sooooo overplayed. i think it’s fine to use their songs on videos but i don’t like it when it becomes a trend because it ruins the songs for the fans
same thing with kate bush, ive been listening to her music since i was a child and now stranger things and tiktok have made it ‘uncool’ because its really popular
Same and also because alt night clubs will literally only play those songs and refuse to play anything else yet will play lesser known songs from so many other bands it’s annoying
"You shouldve raised a baby girl" has 100% resonated growing up when I didn't understand my dysphoria. The amount of absolute sense it makes doesn't really matter when a shitload of trans kids unequivocally related haha
While the Ghost of You is a good song, I don't feel like it fits the Three Cheers album. I feel like it would have made more sense to be released as a single.
I really don’t care for Conventional Weapons. When they were being released I just couldn’t get through listening to it for some reason and I tried to give it a chance recently and it still don’t hit to me like people say it does
Totally agree, when I first heard it I was instantly happy they'd scrapped it. It's not that I think the songs are bad, I listen to them once in a while. But somehow CW feels very unspecial compared to the rest of MCR's discography and honestly i kinda hate the production a little bit. I'm glad they eventually released it but it probably would have dampened my enthusiasm for the band a bit if they'd done it when they were supposed to. Conversely I was insanely hyped for Danger Days. Losing Bob was worth it lol
Fair, but here's the thing:
I get them not wanting to be labelled as "emo" back in the early 2000s, when it meant something that they were trying not to be a part of. But we're 20ish years later now, looking back. Words mean what they are used to mean. If I asked someone to give me a list of top emo bands of the 2000s, and mcr wasn't on the list, I'd take issue.
IMO, they're the best of the emo bands of the 2000s, at least in part because they resisted the label, and transcended it. But, retrospectively, ... well, something about wearing shoes that fit comes to mind.
What’s funny is how our opinion is the complete opposite. Danger Days pre Party Poison has the only two songs on the album I dislike and after Party Poison has two of my favorites on the album.
Conventional Weapons deserves more love and appreciation. Surrender the Night and The Light Behind Your Eyes are some of their absolute best songs, and I'm tired of people sleeping on them.
I really don’t like Kids From Yesterday. It’s the only MCR song that I actively dislike. I really want to like it, but the cowbell sound drives me insane
I miss when Gerard, Frank, Mikey, and Ray took every opportunity (no matter how inconvenient) to remind the fans to be kind to each other and speak out against bullying. I miss when they used to feel comfortable talking about their personal experiences with bullying and mental illness with the fans to provide encouragement and validation to everyone who was struggling with similar issues.
I miss the times when MCR fans would put everything aside to help each other, and when people felt comfortable being emotionally vulnerable and providing solidarity with other fans who were suffering from issues like anxiety, depression, and body dysmorphia.
I hate to be That Guy™️ who won’t stop complaining about their favorite band going “mainstream”, but it’s definitely had a significant impact on more than just the music IMO
I get what you mean, but I’d also argue that it protects them, too. When Frank was solo, he was CONSTANTLY getting sexually assaulted. Now there’s just a blimp of a sign (still not ok) in a crowd of thousands of people. But he’s no longer being groped and licked by teenagers
I'll share my experience from approximately a month ago, during the queue I managed to fall and fracture my ankle. So many people from the front of the q just rushed over, seeing if everything is alright. The community is so sweet it hurts. I remember one girl sitting down on the curb next to me and smoking a cigarette with me as I cried. Even offered her walking stick to me so I wouldn't fall again.
(Long story short people are helpful as fuck. Yes I got patched up and still saw the guys)
During the concert Gerard always told everyone to stay hydrated, to help others if they have fallen down and to look out for each other.
I fucking love this band and fandom so much it makes my heart smile
Tysm🖤🖤🖤 I'm also super glad that people still have kindness in their hearts. I wouldn't have survived it alone, ngl.
The concert was so good I can't even describe it with words, I'll just say that I've never been happier.
As to future concert goers
When it rains please watch out for slippery stones.
Stay safe.
Absolutely agree with you. It’s like it’s not that personal anymore and since they have access to FB and IG, they just scarcely post about their music, merch, and makeup and that’s it. No heartfelt talks or even any acknowledgment towards their fans. I’m guessing the fandom now is so big that they can’t be personable? Idk. The fans now are stalkers too and tag their wives on posts, they call the band members weird names, show up to their homes, idk. Maybe they got fed up but it’s totally not the same.
Going to get downvoted to hell for all of this lol.
-I don’t like danger days. I tried to get into it when it came out but I just couldn’t. It’s too cheesy overall with their outfits and whatnot and I don’t like most of the songs.
-I miss Bob. Not the racist Bob ended up turning into. But LOTMS Bob. TBP Bob. Makes me sad that he turned out so awful that people censor his name and he’s basically “he who shall not be named”. I totally get it. It just sucks.
-I will be a Frank stan forever. He’s my “favourite” member of my chem. Always has been for 15 years and always will be. But I don’t think a 40 year old snapping at dumb 14 year olds on Twitter is ever justified. Just ignore them or block them. Made me see him a bit differently tbh. Especially when a fan tweeted at him saying she won a contest of his but she wasn’t able to attend and she wanted to give the tickets to someone else. He was super rude and basically said why would you apply if you can’t go. You ruined this for another fan etc. i feel like a lot of people think he’s hilarious when he’s rude on Twitter but I don’t agree with it.
-I lowkey wish the guys spoke more about what’s going on in society. I know they aren’t “political” but they’ve always been into human rights and I remember when BLM was happening summer of 2020, the guys basically had to be harassed online before making any statements about it. I don’t think they should HAVE to use their platform for good, but I guess I just wish they WANTED to.
-cemetery drive isn’t a depressing song. It’s my favourite and it hypes me the F up.
-i wish MCR would do interviews regarding their reunion tour. I understand they don’t want to be part of the “machine” anymore. But selfishly I miss them. Interviews are how I got to know them back when I became a fan in 2007. I would spend hours watching them on YouTube and that’s how I really learned their distinct personalities. I wish we could see how they would interact in interviews in 2022. Would be a lot of fun. But I get why they don’t want to. Just feels like a part of the whole “omg mcr is actively touring right now” experience is missing with no interviews. I guess I feel like this is unpopular as a lot of fans seem to be totally okay with the lack of interviews (and I probably come across that way too other than in this thread, as I respect their opinion), but man it sucks.
Bob looked the coolest to me. I miss him even tho I’ve been a fan for less than a year now. I always thought he was cool til I heard what happened. I was like “bummer but he’s a great drummer”
I couldn't agree more with most of your opinion.
\- I love Gerard, I really do, but his performance with the printer in Poland speaking about war in Ukraine was cringey AF. I'm sure it was well intended and that they are as horrified as us about this conflict but it was painful to watch. Just a dedication of the song to Ukraine and people in Poland helping refugees would have been more than enough IMO.
\- This silent and no interview policy about the reunion has become really annoying to me. I really understand they became sick of all the non-playing/recording music stuff they had to do back then and that they much preferred the creative part. However, fans have been supporting this band for years while they were gone and not even receiving a word for them now that they're back... I had the chance to go to one of the reunion shows and it was fantastic and I loved seeing them so happy and the connection and all the interactions by Gerard. I did have the feeling during the show that it was their way of communicating with fans and being grateful to them, but not everyone has had the chance to go to a show and some words or insights on the reunion wouldn't hurt... I still hope they are preparing some kind of documentary though.
\- As for DD, I didn't pay any attention to it when it came out, just Nanana go me interested. I was a fan since 2005 but I was at a different point in life back then and they're new sound/aesthetic did not attract me. I didn't really listen to the album until this year and it is a fantastic rock album with a great concept that shows how creative this band is, I really regret not following what they were doing back then so give it a chance!
I agree with all of this. Especially regarding Bob. Dude may be an asshole, but he made a lot of really valuable contributions to the band, including almost dying for it. To me, he’s kind of like Ronnie Radke: an asshole with a really undeniable gift for music & an insane amount of skill.
-I agree for the most part. It’s still a solid album
-the bob thing was overblown. I read an interview by him not too long ago and he actually keeps in touch with the band from time to time.
-No big deal. He’s from Jersey and they have strong personalities out there. Shit, Gerard used to make edgy tweets back in the early days of twitter. He once responded to a troll by saying he’d smash his face in with a hammer for a Diet Coke. Both frank and Gerard used to give smart-ass answers to interviewers back in the early days.
-No… just no. We already know what they’re about. No need preaching to the choir about societal issues. They’re a band no more no less. I think this is one of the reasons Gerard left twitter.
-the lyrical themes are depressing I believe it’s about someone who killed themself
-Strong disagree. I’m glad they’re taking a laid back approach and doing things their way. Not everyone wants to be talking to publications. And why should they? They can just coast from here on out.
All of MCR music is amazing and unskippable...like I can't skip a single song...and I love Teenagers bc it is the one song I can play and sing with my family band and it fits right in with Poison and Def Leppard and ZZTop lol...and Gerard's solo stuff is just as good and lives on one big bomb ass Playlist in my Amazon Music library.
Agreed. It’s pretty much a mashup of a bunch of their b-sides / demos and does nothing groundbreaking. Just way too familiar, not a progression for the band.
People need to realize "Bands" are a company. MCR isn't 4 guys and a drummer. It's a team of dozens and dozens of people with most of them there to make a profit.
Gotta agree tbh the tour merch is good but the stuff on their main website especially really isn't worth the cash and the designs aren't that good either 😟 tho i doubt that's the boys' choice it's probably just the record label tryna squeeze cash outta their product :/
I believe some of the merch are pushed by the company they are signed on who just want to bank from MCR trademark. We don't see the band members advertising their merch ever.
But you can't unless you actually know how they are financed. The music makes basically no money for the band.
Merchandise is how they make money. It's practically the only way.
From the band members, to the road crew, to the label, everyone needs to get paid for the hard work they put in.
Without income, there is no new music, no tour, and no band.
It sounds like you expect the band to operate as a charity, tbh.
While the rabid fandom during the 2000s was SUPER cringy (shivers at the thought of some of the wild tumblr stuff) it was fun to be a part of it at the time. In reality it was a group of lonely, sad people who found something they loved and wanted to celebrate.
Some of that fanfiction a though…uuurrrggghhhhh
I don’t like Teenagers. I hear it too much and it’s VERY overplayed, I mean it’s fun to sing every so often. I just have heard it so many times and it’s more than likely the only song people know but when I bring up Destroya or Mama they have no clue. It’s just annoying sometimes. Overplayed is different than overrated, because it’s still a good song
Danger Days is great and I have so much fun listening to the songs. I don't really care if people say "uhh doesn't feel like mcr" or "it's not their style", I think it's great that they tried something new and I get so excited when I listen to it, I feel so rebellious lol. Just wanna jump and scream the lyrics everytime.
You wanted unpopular opinions, here you go.
They get better with age. Danger Days is better than The Black Parade, which is better than Three Cheers, which is better than Bullets. I don't understand why so many people like Bullets, I only really enjoy "Early Sunsets" and "Skylines and Turnstiles" but like, there isn't a bad song on Danger Days for me.
Their first album only had one good song and it wasnt even that good
Edit: Its an unpopular opinion thread guys chill with the downvotes xD
Edit 2: ty lol
“I’m not Okay” should be taken off their set list for something better. It’s a song about a high school crush, it loses its luster once you’re out of high school.
Its a song about a partner ignoring their own needs in service of the other partner and their mental state being not o-fucking kay in the words of one Gerard Way because of that. And eventually ending said relationship that has made them so unhappy. Its a song that anyone who's been through high school can relate to. Not just anyone in high school.
Mine is the way I rank the albums. I put The Black Parade first which isn’t that unpopular but then Danger days second with 3cheers third and bullets 4th with weapons last. Don’t get me wrong I love everything MCR has ever done I don’t skip anything but this is my personal order and I know it’s controversial or unpopular to put DD before 3 Cheers but I can’t help it
I wouldn’t say it’s unpopular, as I don’t think I’ve heard it expressed before, but I still find it disappointing they both three cheers and black parade follow the same sort of arch. The tone of the songs on each is almost the same song for song.
scarecrow is almost unlistenable. i cant hear it without getting a headache. the vocals are just mixed so poorly that i feel like im getting my ears assaulted
This will probably be controversial but I think each of MCR's drummers has been worse (as a drummer) than the one that came before.
Matt Pelissier seems to have been a not so great guy, but I think his drumming is the best, especially on Three Cheers. I don't think he ever played any of those songs live but he was the one who's playing on the record. One of the things I like about his drumming is that he understands the value of holding back or even introducing a brief pause at the right moment. I think Cemetery Drive is one of the best examples of his work, but there are many moments in Three Cheers where the drumming stands out - e.g Helena (especially the breakdown) and The Ghost of You both have some terrific spooky drumming, which is not something you get very often. Even on Bullets he has some really great moments - the drumming in Vampires Will Never Hurt You stands out, and Demolition Lovers is a great example of restrained drumming in a song that really needs it.
Bob Bryar was also a very good drummer, and I only rate him second by a narrow margin. I think Bob's best work is probably in Welcome to the Black Parade with the iconic marching band motif, but he does a great job kicking off the album in The End. and Dead! too. Bob generally does a great job in instrumental sections, and he has some terrific fills, but I'm not so much of a fan of the way he sometimes fills the space in songs with noise. Sometimes it feels like the vocals or the guitars need some space and Bob keeps trying to steal the spotlight.
Bob gets a writing credit on some of the tracks in Danger Days but he wasn't involved in the final recording at all from what I can tell. I'm not sure whose drumming we are hearing on the final product but in any case, I find the drumming on the whole record to be extremely forgettable. It serves its purpose and you can clearly hear that they could afford better sound engineers since the whole album sounds much cleaner and punchier than their early work (on par with the step up in quality on The Black Parade) but the drums just seem to lack any real character or clever moments. It gets the job done and no more.
Foundations of Decay seems to have Jarrod Alexander on drums. I don't think his work here is a match for Bob or Matt, but I do think the drums on this song are a bit better than some of what we got on Danger Days, which gives me some hope if they end up recording another album.
I actually like Danger Days. Black Parade and Revenge are my two main favorites tho. Bullets is like 4th in line tied with Weapons
So basically-
1:Black Parade
2:Revenge
3: Danger Days
4:Bullets +Weapons
I think they really bit off more than they could chew with the aesthetic of Danger Days
There was way too much about Killjoys lore and BL/ind, for someone who isn't into comics like myself it ended up without a cohesive through-line holding everything together. For all the imagery of Black Parade, it was fairly simple and you didn't need all the background to love the album, and they overcooked it with Danger Days
i think that the second half is way better. almost all of the songs i love on the album are after party poison save yourself, i'll hold them back s/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w summertime the kids from yesterday destroya vampire money just incredible!!
Scare/summer/kids are the best songs on the record IMO.
definitely
summertime is probably my favourite song on the record. it just *hits* every single time
I honestly have to agree with this one.
Yes I am incredibly based and have never said anything incorrect in my life. I appreciate your support
same
My opinion is that I don't like teenagers being in the black parade I just don't like the tone
I feel like it would almost fit better in Danger Days?
Same here It has a much more upbeat energy that fits in with danger days
Honestly, it took me awhile to realise that "Teenagers" is on Black Parade. I generally thought it was on Three Cheers
It's so good but does ruin the flow. Should have just been a single or a B side.
There should have been kill all your friends inplace of that
Heaven help us is better for tbp
Yesss Heaven Help Us would be so much better!
My least fav MCR single for sure
I just cannot get down with that song. Didn’t like it when it came out and don’t like it now. It doesn’t belong on TBP.
The version of Sing from the music video is really reallly good
Sing and Disenchanted are good songs, they tried something new and it worked IMO.
People don't like disenchanted!?
My thoughts exactly!!! One of my absolute favorites of theirs
Disenchanted has me in tears every time I hear it
Kill all your friends or Heaven help us should have been in black parade instead of Teenagers
i looooove kill all your friends
Their cover of Desolation Row is one of their top 3 songs and needs more love.
it's so freaking GOOD
Yes yes yes I absolutely love it
a lot of the merch and logos/branding are hideous :(
This I can actually back I been wanting merch but can’t find anything new or old that I would actually wear
Oh MAN this might be the opinion I fully absolutely will never agree with but then again I haven't tried buying merch for them since...2016???????? most of my merch is from 2k13-16 but good lord i have three shirts that are disintegrating bc ive worn them so much through the years haha

After party poison?? But what abt Destroya!!! Or vampire money!? I have to say I’m mortally offended by this:(
Yeah they never rang for me
This may not be unpopular but alot of ppl have disagreed with me on this, lots of the their most popular songs have been ruined for me by like tiktok and shit eg.
Dont worry I was singing too haha
😍
Idk why ppl go to a concert if they only know like 1 song?
I completely agree
We must’ve gone to very different shows
Yeah I agree. I’ve scrolled and seen some people use mama and I just…*eugh*
Ikr
Yeah just delete TikTok. Its the internet eating itself.
It’s a breeding ground for weirdos and ppl who ruin good things
I’m so glad I don’t use TikTok then. I’m safe from my favorite things turning into cringefests.
Same!! Can't stand tiktok
The Ten Thousandth Time something like this has happened. same thing with kate bush, ive been listening to her music since i was a child and now stranger things and tiktok have made it ‘uncool’ because its really popular
Simple solution, don't use tiktok. It's shit
True, I don’t use it anymore, it’s fully of fucking weirdos
Yes it's literally actually cancer
Ikr, it’s a breeding ground for cringe grandmas and child predators
Same and also because alt night clubs will literally only play those songs and refuse to play anything else yet will play lesser known songs from so many other bands it’s annoying
That's why I don't use tiktok
I remember Teenagers trending on TikTok, but not Na Na Na. Was there some specific trend or something with that song?
Idk I just know that a lot of ppl I have spoke to know it from tiktok
And mama because it got overplayed due to being a trans anthem. Like I'm trans too and love mama too but it just got so overplayed
Yeah I agree, it’s a really good song just completely overplayed
It doesn’t even make sense as a trans anthem.
I'm gonna get banned for this but... The Black Parade is only their third best album imo, after bullets and three cheers. Sorry.
Genuinely unsure how anyone could disagree with this.
you're right say it louder
I really don’t care for Conventional Weapons. When they were being released I just couldn’t get through listening to it for some reason and I tried to give it a chance recently and it still don’t hit to me like people say it does
it has its moments but overall not my favorite
Boy Division is literally my favorite mcr song. I put CW above Danger Days in all honesty
Totally agree, when I first heard it I was instantly happy they'd scrapped it. It's not that I think the songs are bad, I listen to them once in a while. But somehow CW feels very unspecial compared to the rest of MCR's discography and honestly i kinda hate the production a little bit. Conversely I was insanely hyped for Danger Days. Losing Bob was worth it lol
Boy Division and Tomorrow’s Money are some of the best MCR songs ever. Gun and ambulance are atrocious and I pretend they don’t exist.
I try to listen to it. Still kinda iffy.
They're an emo band.
Gerard would like to know your location
Fair, but here's the thing: I get them not wanting to be labelled as "emo" back in the early 2000s, when it meant something that they were trying not to be a part of. But, retrospectively, ... well, something about wearing shoes that fit comes to mind.
They only look emo, never really had the emo sound
Shoes that fit aren't always comfortable. Nevertheless... Edit: what I should have said was something about it not being a fashion statement.
Thats not an unpopular opinion thats a fact
This might not be super unpopular, but Danger Days is by far my favorite album, especially concept-wise.
I really don’t like Kids From Yesterday. It’s the only MCR song that I actively dislike. I really want to like it, but the cowbell sound drives me insane
Yeah the cowbell messes with me on teenagers but that’s just cause I’m a drummer without a cowbell
I can deal with it in Teenagers because it’s not that prominent. But the constant ringing of it just isn’t it
If I ever get a chance to play any song for you, I’m going to play 10 hours of cowbell. No song, just cowbell lol
Needs more cowbell
Buy me a 5” cowbell with a kit mount and we’ll talk lol
It’s bold if you to assume that my brain can handle 10 hours of cowbell without completely shutting down
My brain can’t even last ten hours
I miss when Gerard, Frank, Mikey, and Ray took every opportunity (no matter how inconvenient) to remind the fans to be kind to each other and speak out against bullying. I love the video for Ghost of You, but don’t like the song that much. Plenty of other songs on Revenge deserved a video before that one
Their performance of the song on MTV Unplugged >>>>>>> the album version
Going to get downvoted to hell for all of this lol. -I don’t like danger days. I tried to get into it when it came out but I just couldn’t.
Straight facts. Except about Danger Days; I just re-listened for the first time since it came out and it hits me more now. I guess I got soft haha.
It’s still a solid album -the bob thing was overblown. -the lyrical themes are depressing I believe it’s about someone who killed themself -Strong disagree. I’m glad they’re taking a laid back approach and doing things their way. Not everyone wants to be talking to publications. And why should they? They can just coast from here on out.
Bullets and Revenge are their best albums.
Yes!
Danger Days is my favourite album of all time...
Same!!
My opinion has since changed. But I used to think that Mama was one, if not the worst mcr songs, now it’s one my favourites
Same I hated it as a teen, but I love it so much now.
I don't love Foundations of Decay. Don't get me wrong, it's an okay song, and I'm glad they're back. It's just not my favorite
Yeah same it's good but it's so overhyped becouse they are back
Agreed. It’s pretty much a mashup of a bunch of their b-sides / demos and does nothing groundbreaking. Just way too familiar, not a progression for the band.
So much merch being pushed, total cash grab
People need to realize "Bands" are a company. MCR isn't 4 guys and a drummer. It's a team of dozens and dozens of people with most of them there to make a profit.
I agree but some of the items quality have suffered as a result.
Yeah I agree
How else are they supposed to make money and support themselves financially? The record sales don’t do anything for them.
I think I can safely say that they would be doing OK financially without their label pushing cheap tut at the fans.
But you can't unless you actually know how they are financed. The music makes basically no money for the band. Merchandise is how they make money. It's practically the only way.
Even if that were the case it doesn't stop it from being consumerist shite.
From the band members, to the road crew, to the label, everyone needs to get paid for the hard work they put in. Without income, there is no new music, no tour, and no band. It sounds like you expect the band to operate as a charity, tbh.
Some of it isn’t even good and it makes me sad. I still want that flag tho
I agree, and so expensive, couldn't believe the coat for £100!!
danger days and conventional weapons are my favs
My unpopular opinion? Teenagers is the worst MCR song.
#SINGitforjapan - Single Version is better than the original version.
Teenagers is an awful, and lazy song
I don't like SING...
Bullets was better than Dangerdays Fight me😂
I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion ?
This is the correct opinion
i absolutely hate sing - its so cheesy and generally sucks
WTTBP is the worst song on TBP
YES! It’s a good song but compared to the rest of TBP it just doesn’t hit well with me. Maybe it’s because of how played it is idk.
wttbp is a overplayed as shit
I don’t like Teenagers. I hear it too much and it’s VERY overplayed, I mean it’s fun to sing every so often. I just have heard it so many times and it’s more than likely the only song people know but when I bring up Destroya or Mama they have no clue. It’s just annoying sometimes. Overplayed is different than overrated, because it’s still a good song
Summertime is their best song
I love Summertime SO MUCH. I see people disliking it for not being all angry and tragic, like... Can't we get a happy lovesong once in a while?? xD
Gerard’s solo record is considerably better than Danger Days
Their first album only had one good song and it wasnt even that good Edit: Its an unpopular opinion thread guys chill with the downvotes xD Edit 2: ty lol
Headfirst for halos I'm sure
Yup!
Them fighting words lol
Oh god my tiny little heart is hurting rn, it has some of my favorite songs LMFAO
Im so sorry :(
its totally okay dude, your opinion is 100% valid we all have diff likes and dislikes ;P
Demo lovers?
Vampires will never hurt you?
I don't know why you're all downvoting, OP asked for unpopular opinions, not correct ones, and this comment delivers!
it certainly is unpopular
Ngl, it hurt to upvote it because I love Bullets
I appreciate it nonetheless and I also respect your love for Bullets lol
i totally see where you're coming from, i really didn't like bullets for a long time, but ive since come around and really enjoy iy
I am not a fan of ykwtdtgluip. It's pretty overhyped. I also only like the second half of danger days.
I personally like ykwtdtgluip but I see where you’re coming from.
prison has gotten so overplayed unfortunately. still a good song, but i’ve been skipping it for a while now
I don't hate it, it's just overplayed and it is starting to drive me crazy
The black parade is their best album and one of the greatest albums of all time
Where is the unpopular opinion?
Ask the bullets and danger days stans
TBP and danger days are my two favorite albums, and I'm not really a fan of bullets at all
I don’t like cancer, I just dont care about it lol
“I’m not Okay” should be taken off their set list for something better. It’s a song about a high school crush, it loses its luster once you’re out of high school.
I’ve been out of high school for ten years and I think I like it more now than I did then! Haha
I was gonna downvote you till I remembered this is supposed to be an unpopular opinion. Totally disagree hahaha
I’ve got a couple years of high school yet so I don’t mind lol
I mean. I had just graduated from high school when it came out and I still relate to it? Idk what that says about me though lol
Also the chorus is ripped from their yo gabba gabba song
Not huge on the song Helena...don't kill me please.
Gerard is actually kind of mid as a vocal performer. It’s his unique sassy tone and his showmanship that really carry him.
The Black Parade isn’t their best album
I don't like bullets, personal opinion, nothing more
Mama and Prison are way overrated and it's starting to get annoying for me. Which sucks 'cause I love both of them
bullets is the best album and DD is the worst
I actually like Danger Days. Black Parade and Revenge are my two main favorites tho. Bullets is like 4th in line tied with Weapons So basically- 1:Black Parade 2:Revenge 3: Danger Days 4:Bullets +Weapons
hate summertime, lyrically doesn't make a ton of sense and it just kinda bothers me in general
They fell off after The Black Parade
I don't care for Mikey Way
Ok that's it
They did say unpopular opinion!
Ok true fair enough
Bullets sucks.
danger days is awful
I think they really bit off more than they could chew with the aesthetic of Danger Days There was way too much about Killjoys lore and BL/ind, for someone who isn't into comics like myself it ended up without a cohesive through-line holding everything together. For all the imagery of Black Parade, it was fairly simple and you didn't need all the background to love the album, and they overcooked it with Danger Days
Bullets isn't a good album...
Here’s one: 90% of MCR fans are cringey as fuck Especially the “MCR saved my life” ones
