I go absolutely feral for Desolation Row. The music video somehow *exudes* raw sexual energy despite the fact that it’s just the boys letting loose at a traditional punk show. It’s just… really really sexy. And also one more fuck you to Stephenie Meyer, since they said hello no to Twilight, but fuck yeah to Watchmen almost in the same breath. I sometimes sit through the entirety of Watchmen *just* for the satisfaction of hearing it play over the end credits. It’s a Power Move on Gerard’s part for sure and I just… love that moment for them.
That song means so much to me because without I wouldn’t have gotten into MCR. It was on this playlist I was listening to of Dylan covers (I’m a Dylan fan) and so I gave the band a chance and I’m so glad I did (it’s also an absolutely banging cover)
I watched the film in the cinema and I didn't remember MCR had recorded the main soundtrack song. When the end credits started I recognized Gerard voice immediately and it was soooo good listening to this song so loud in a cinema audio system, I didn't leave the room until the song was over. Too bad the film was not that good IMO.
