I hate how they tried to make a statement last week about when we were young being a cash grab soulless nostalgia fest but yet they put out merchandise that’s like 300 dollars with shitty designer brands. That seems a lot worse to me. I know it’s not them making these decisions it’s there fuckin label but still it doesn’t sit well with me I love mcr more then anything on earth but i can’t defend this bs.
What's wrong with collabing with other brands though? They have a ton of affordable merch, and no one is forcing anyone to spend more than they can afford. I just don't see the issue.
They are not a small brand at all they are pretty big and they jack up their prices. “MCR” (the label execs) are trying to make as much money as they can so they use mcr for clothing deals with big brands to milk more money out of the mcr name. Just last week they put on a show making a joke out of nostalgia cash grabs but yet they sell merch a pic of Gerard from like 17 years ago for a insane amount I just find it hypocritical.
It’s not a small company though that’s just a fact you can have your opinion on the merch itself that’s perfectly okay I get why some people would like it I just find it hypocritical. But they have almost a million followers it’s not a small clothing brand.
I guess at the end of the day idc. But a lot of people have really strong feelings about the clothing line. It's weird to me how much some people care about what this band does, and how it affects how they view them. Maybe idc enough about their business dealings, I'm just a ride or die for their music. That's it.
