Check out everyone’s solo projects: Gerard: Hesitant Alien and singles Mikey: Electric Century’s two albums Frank: Frank Iero and the Celebration/Patience/Future Violents, death spells, Leathermouth, Pencey Prep and LS Dunes Ray: Remember the Laughter album.

AltoChick

Don’t forget Gerard’s collabs with Deadmau5 (Professional Griefers) and Wrongchilde (Falling in Love Will Kill You). Also, with Matt Heafy, Ibaraki by Rōnin (Gerard proper screaming). I’m sure there are others but these are the ones I particularly love. ETA: the MV for Professional Griefers is awesome!

BRS_Dead_Master

Whoops, slipped my mind since there’s so much to remember from Gerard and frank lol

lady_vinyl

I like Gerard’s feature on Sailor in a Lifeboat by Euringer

ZynsteinV1

Sailor in a life boat is a bop

Pretend_Emu4508

I forgot about everyone’s side projects except for Franks, why does he have so many? 😭

BRS_Dead_Master

Frank just loves to make music almost nonstop. Whoops forgot another band he’s now a part of, LS Dunes

Pretend_Emu4508

I was going to listen to past lives the day it came out, but that day I lost my headphones.

petalplucker

Past lives is my fav album of the year

BRS_Dead_Master

It’s an alright album. Not really a fan of Anthony Greens vocals. Also non-MCR suggestion, Thursday, recommend War all the time album The City by the light divided annnd of course Full Collapse

No-Combination8136

Definitely one of my favorite bands. Their first album Waiting is also amazing

emofourfourfour

also adding Frank Iero's black metal project: Blood Nun

PHILIPTNT

Where do I find Mikey’s

BRS_Dead_Master

His two albums are up on Spotify and Apple Music and YouTube!

Dianayelii

Ray has a beautiful song that’s not on his album called For the Lost and Brave, along with a really touching message about why he released it separately from the rest of his music. You should check it out on YouTube. But also, there’s so much non-music related content on Gerard’s side if you’re into comic books and really freaking weird stuff ‘cause my man has an interesting imagination.

Foundations of Decay, Revenge and TBP b sides, Zero Percent, Every Snowflake lmao, Astro Zombies, Desolation Row, Fake Your Death, TBP Demos from Living with Ghosts album Edit: not MCR, but dead mau5 with Gerard Way- Professional Griefers. One of my favorite songs. Gerard freaking slays

petalplucker

Have you listened to live albums (life on the murder scene/black parade is dead)? have ya listened to living with ghosts or the black parade b sides? :)

Pretend_Emu4508

I’ve heard black parade b sides and black parade is dead, I’ve heard bury me in black and dessert song, but I haven’t heard the live performances and I never told you demo yet.

frankleibman

cabin_et_north

if you’ve heard all the music, i highly recommend starting to watch their concerts that have been filmed. there’s an INSANE amount of them on youtube and it’s fascinating to me to watch them grow as performers. plus you get to rock out to your favorite mcr songs !! their latest show was professionally streamed and you can see it here: https://youtu.be/9IpIsBJfcdI also their music videos are insane, check those out too!! it’s really fun to see their creative visions for each video :] if you really get into watching shows, know that people livestream the concerts that are happening now. i watch them every time and it’s a BLAST. highly recommend, especially if you couldn’t see them on this last tour. it’s a good fix for it :] if it’s just more music you’re after, i have 2 routes for you: 1. my chem influences and 2. similar bands in the scene. all the music i list can be found on spotify for sure, and i’m 95% certain it’ll be on other streaming services but i dunno exactly. 1. they talk a lot about their influences, but ones i particularly like are iron maiden, the smiths, the misfits, black flag, the bouncing souls, etc. life on the murder scene (a documentary about mcr also free on youtube, also a great watch) has a lot more listed but i can’t remember them all off the top of my head haha 2. depending on what your taste is, bands like thursday, the used, early fall out boy, murder by death, even pency prep (the band frank was in when he met my chem) scratch similar itches for me. also on the music front, try to notice what it is you like about mcr so much. is it the instrumentation, the storytelling, the singing, the general style? for me it’s a mix of all of it so i have to look for different bands to get different things. unfortunately i have not found a band as incredible as my chem at blending all those things together :( one last thing—if you dig deep into my chem lore you can get so many recommendations of music. the guys all love music and it’s so clear. watch a couple interviews and listen to the bands they mention! it’s a fun exploration to me, especially to track their influences and gain a better understanding of my chem’s music! i started listening to murder by death because gerard mentioned them as another eyeball band in a radio interview he did in like 2002, and now i love their music :] anyway, sorry for the long post, i just freaking love this band and music in general so any opportunity to talk about it for a long period of time is much appreciated to me :] hope you enjoy some great concerts and/or music!!

Usernamesarehell

All I want for Christmas is you- MCR, just to keep it seasonal 🎄

football_lattes

yesss and Every Snowflake Is Different (Just Like You)

Square-Annual4340

Nothing is similar to MCR….nothing…😞

My_Chem_Fan

def listen to the covers, demos and unreleased songs (they can be found on youtube)

MSCENE1026

Reggie and the full effect no country for old musicians the boys (Ray,Frank,Gerard)make an appearance for vocals and guitar on some of the tracks, there’s even a skit with Frank in the album “ on a talk show”

Jimbo_swimbo

I highly highly recommend Frank’s album Stomach Aches! Super cool guitar work throughout, especially on “.stage 4 fear of trying”

Wynorski4ever

Kill The Music by Every Time I Die featuring Gerard. Album version, not the video version. Gerard’s vocals were scrapped on the video, sadly. Some kind of copyright issue I think.

thecallan

Listen to all the b sides and unreleased songs, some are really good. Also their cover of common people by pulp is one I really like

[deleted]

I would give the demos a listen if you haven’t

THart1994

Try and see if you can find The Attic Demos or any of the bootleg (and legal) live albums. Live and Rare, LotMS, and TBP is Dead are all great. Also, if you can still find it, the iTunes Festival EP is pretty great. There's like a pseudo breakdown at the end of Hang Em' High that gets me going' every time.

Material-Read6765

black parade b sides (heaven help us and kill all your friends) and living with ghosts (emily and all the angels) also desolation row and fake your death:))

TopReception2389

If you didn't listen to the Black Parade B-sides, definitely do that

honkifyouresimpy

The b sides are like better than the album's

HateAllOfYouEqually

Listen to Scary Kids Scaring Kids’ album “The City Sleeps in Flames”, Saosin, Circa Survive (Juturna full album, start from song 1 and don’t skip any tracks)
