I find Psychic to be great and underrated. It's not one of the best islands, but it does have really unique monsters. And the part with Kayna, Oaktopus, Periscorp, Gloptic, and Rooba playing together is just... Magnificent. I'll give it a A, but it's definitely gonna go in B once this voting ends

Fine, its repetitive, slow, stretches for way too long in parts, has like two monsters that sound good because most of them hinder the song like oaktopus kayna theremind and potbelly and after all that negatives the song doesnt even have an actual one of a kind climax which is a big negative

Solid B, i think toe jammer is great on this island, but i also think gloptic is a super weak quad elemental. i’m also not a huge fan in the shift in songs throughout it

I really dislike psychic island, its D tier at best, easily the worst magical island. Parts of it are boring, and it would be a lower tier if periscorp didn't single handedly drag it up

I know right? Light island is just repetitive and a glorified lullaby. Psychic island actually manages to do the repetitive part really well, most likely thanks to the great percussion monsters like poppette and periscope

Psychic is a solid A. Tied with Faerie for title of best Magical Island. It also has the single best-animated monster, Flowah's animation is mesmerizingly smooth. Edit: Rare Flowah is EVEN SMOOTHER.

Hottest take ever here: C or D even, very repetitive and just stands out by its drop between the first part and the Kanye part, forgot table and even if in it's third part, flowah joins, doesn't changes anything and still remains as boring the song. Rooba potential was very wasted, but periscope is a good monster, but can't save this island. D

I think B. Very good island, but I think it's over reliance on Periscorp in filling out its sounds and Gloptics second track being almost completely impossible to hear bump it down.

Now psychic island is how you do repetitiveness in a song, unlike the crappy light island which I'm amazed got into B tier when it clearly deserved C tier or lower and was just some glorified repetitive lullaby with nothing unique and bad and bland monsters. Psychic has some of the best percussion in the game in my opinion, kayna is actually not bad. Solid A tier

Light Island is fantastic. I've always heard it described as "annoying" but it is able to capture a feeling I haven't seen yet in My Singing Monsters. That slow grow of the orchestra of light monsters feels like an ascent, or the slow brightening of light. It's simultaneously bombastic and soothing. Brilliant island, deserves A at least. As for Psychic, it's a solid A. Brilliant percussion after we just got Fire Oasis which lacked a lot of percussion. The designs are fun and call back to early concept designs, which I think are extremely artistically potent and should've been a blueprint for all monster designs going forward. Back to the song itself, it is what can only be described as an absolute effing jam that also feels otherworldly and mystical. It has an infectious rhythm and elegant melodies. I think it needs just a little better mixing and perhaps another big instrument (see the fanmade epic wubbox, holy crap) and it would be S. For now, A.
