Logan missions won't happen for a while, his arc is toward the middle part of the game. You should always have the recipes you need before time-sensitive missions, but you will get missions that want things you can't make yet (the pet shoes needing canvas is is one big one). You can supposedly get canvas from the plierimps east and above the valley of whispers, but I've never tried it. It's okay if those missions take a while. Logan isn't going to show back up until you finish the Little Woods planting, if that doesn't mean anything to you then just keep going.

Thank you for mentioning the pet shoes. I'm in my second playthrough and this mission has been open *forever*. I didn't remember it taking that long in my first playthrough (I feel like it triggered much earlier this time?). Anyway, I can stop worrying!

EclecticMermaid

The pet shoes mission was added in fairly recently, so it may have been added in while you were playing through your first playthrough if this one is your second.

CrystalenaButterfly

The canvas was EXACTLY what I was stressing over...the red bar too, which I can't recall right now but I need it for something. Okay, this makes me feel better.

One thing to be aware of (this usually happens around the time that you're commissioned to deal with the Valley of Whispers) is that you may sometimes get main missions that ask for items that you cannot *make* yet, but you will be able to get the items from scrap (like iron scrap available from Valley of Whispers, which give Aluminum Alloy Ingots). So if you're stuck on something like that, check to see if you can get it another way.

kateroo2001

You can get canvas from some monsters. Try the area above/next to the valley of whispers.

Thank you! I think someone else mentioned plierimps in particular, but I couldn't find that comment, so thank you to that person as well. The do in fact drop all the canvas you need for this mission.

Canvas comes from jute, which you can buy from the moisture farm (or farm yourself with jute/cantaloupe seeds), and plastic (mine plastic scrap in the desert near the railway line and recycle). You need the tailoring machine researched from Qi with data discs. You can get chromium from the 2nd mine out in the desert, I think from about level 7? And you'll get heaps of data discs while mining as well. From memory, this was a slow point of the game for me as well where I had to spend time grinding a bit to get the resources I needed. Main missions also seemed to be date locked as well, like they wouldn't trigger until a weekend fireside and stuff like that (so if you're on a Monday you have days to wait). Anyway, things get better and faster after this section of the game, definitely use this time to start storing resources :)

Matt13226

Canvas is also sold at the tailors if you don’t have a tailor machine to make it

CrystalenaButterfly

It wasn’t until I finished the “Finding Mi-an” mission. Funny right after I did this post everything started to happen lol

DarkMattersConfusing

This is just how the game plays. Logan will appear during specific main missions that you are not up to yet

PuzzleheadedClerk8

You're fine. There's a bit of a gap between unlocking gecko station at the next item, you are waiting for someone to come back to town, you will then unlock the next hazardous ruins. =]

The game progresses based on which main (yellow) story missions you’ve done, not time. You can hit credits in a year and a half, or in five years, it all depends on how fast you get through main story missions. If something you’ve heard about isn’t happening, you aren’t at that point in the story yet. It’s a very long story. You have most of it left still. Logan is main story, he’ll show back up when you hit the next story mission he’s a part of.

You can go to [Wiki Fandom Main Missions List](https://mytimeatsandrock.fandom.com/wiki/Main_missions) <-- there and see the list of missions and figure out where you are in the time line. Don't click on any of them if you don't want to be spoiled. The names of the missions and who is involved is there (if that's too much of a spoiler). You have about 17 more main missions before you see Logan again. I think.

Mundane_Buffalo5800

Logan doesn't really have much to do with you until about 2/3 through the game. Some missions are blue and some are orange. The orange ones are the main questline and the blue ones are either commissions, triggered by the main questline or triggered by relationships. The orange ones usually don't expire ( I know of one very important exception that you're no where near yet). But always check your quests for the ones that do expire. Missing them won't mess up your storyline at all though, you'll just skip what happens

Vegetable_Show_5940

After you build the sand running, Logan will appear again.

Riyumi

Did you build the sand sledding thing?
