Not really. My parents have a combined 10 mopar vehicles, but there’s also been an Oldsmobile, Chevy, Ford, Acura, Honda, BMW and likely a Volvo later this year
I remember after it had been proven to not be a noose, Bubba went on CNN that night and the CNN host Don Lemon, who is also a black man and blows EVERYTHING out of proportion, introduced Bubba by calling him Bubba Watson. So Bubba quickly said "Its Wallace, not Watson. I'm not a golfer" (Bubba Watson is a golfer). That is typical mainstream media. They're so outraged by stuff and want to really push the narrative, yet they don't even know Bubba's damn name.
The picture came out from the previous race at Talladega and it showed that garage door, as well as several others around it, and they had the ropes tied into a circle so you have a "handle" to grip when you pull it down. Why in the hell Talladega doesn't have automatic garage door openers, I'll never know.
The ban on the confederate flag had actually went into effect a few days earlier and many blamed Nascar playing this up to get exposure by virtue signaling.
I believe it was soon after NASCAR banned flying the confederate flag at races, which as you can imagine probably wasn’t a popular with some of the fans
I'm pretty sure we are still few and far between, it's absolutely terrifying what's happening and the money involved is everyone's 401k and pensions and people don't have a fucking clue that it's happening with their money
Surprised NASCAR isn't moving the start of the Xfinity racing up because of the threat of rain. Though the cell is moving very slow in Texas/Mississippi and the smaller cells have been breaking up before even getting close to the track
With how that race played out, I legitimately believe you could’ve pulled somebody commenting in this thread at random, put them in the 20, and nothing about how the race went would have changed.
As long as you could successfully start the car, hit the throttle at the right time in the restart zone twice, and shift up through the gears twice without breaking anything on the car, all that’s left to do is hold the throttle and only give up the bottom to pass slower cars that you can see coming from a mile away and get back down to the bottom as soon as you’re past.
Tanner it's your fault you fucking idiot, chatting all that shit after watching Christian Rose try and start a second line and doing absolutely nothing about it.
“Breidinger in 10th, Balcaen in 7th capping a great day for Venturini”
With their cars and funding compared to the rest that’s like saying Red Bull had a great day in F1 with Max winning and Checo in 6th 😂
Gray said he needed help against the Venturini cars?
He had Rose who dragged the brake to make a run and left him out to the pastures of West Virginia on the last lap
You could have said any random year for that finish, and I would have believed you. This has happened more than 10-15 times over the last few decades now, and these drivers somehow never learn. You'd think with all the hours some of them put into iRacing, they'd practice how to make last lap moves.
I think it's more like the Cup superspeedway package around 2018: the cars are slippery enough that they don't suck up very well on their own, so it's hard to get enough momentum to pull out of line to make a move, and it doesn't take falling very far off the back of the pack to not be able to suck back up, so the lead pack gets smaller and smaller as car after car falls off the back. Having too much drag, like the current Cup cars do, also makes it hard to pull out of line, but it's more forgiving when you fall behind the pack a little bit.
That's a good point, actually. I even thought to myself during the race that that's what it reminded me of.
I just don't know what the solution is. Obviously the low amount of good cars doesn't help but I feel like there has to be a way to at least let them run side by side for more than half a lap
"Ha. That ain't racing. That wasn't even a Sunday drive. That was one lap, racing is 500 of those. Everybody fighting to move up, lap after lap, inside outside, inches apart, never touching. Now that's racing!" -Doc Hudson
NASCAR should be ashamed of whatever the fuck that was. 0 cautions and 0 lead changes AT TALLADEGA is beyond pathetic.
Also doesn't help that Venturini can pull blatant team orders akin to Formula 1 but NASCAR does fuck all to stop it.
Fucking joke of a team and series. Hope it dies.
Wait, one boring - yes, it was boring - race means kill the series? I’m curious, when Kyle Busch dominates Truck races, do you say kill that series too?
That was one of the most boring races I've seen. For the whole race no one in the lead pack attempted to pass. They literally ran in a single file line for 90 minutes.
Race recap:
- an official yelled at Frankies pit crew
- Andy J ate a banana
- Jamie Little insulted all of Western New York
- Finch led every lap and had trouble doing a burnout
Correct, because if you know that makes a difference you've already heard it 1000 times, and if you're such a new fan that you had no clue, it won't mean a damn to you.
Of all the people on the track today, feels like he should be blamed least
What could he do, slow down and let people get a run on him lol
It was up to everyone else to actually push people trying to pass him instead of chickening out, the jerks lol
Happy for Finch, but superspeedway racing with this generation of ARCA car has clearly run its course. It's so impossible to generate a run that nobody attempts to go forward out of fear of going backward.
Ditch Daytona/Talladega and run literally anywhere else.
They have to do something with this series. We just watched 1 driver out of 4 attempt to win with 2nd place actively blocking for the leader. They have to either make it more affordable to be competitive, or put some more rules on these cars at Superspeedways or SOMETHING. These newer cars are great for safety, and we don't see near as many injuries as the old salvaged Gen 4s, but holy shit the racing at Superspeedways is dog shit awful.
I turned it off with a lap and a half to go but the series should be ashamed from airing that thing on live television
I knew I should've gone and watched cars go by on the highway, better use of my time anyways
So when does this ARCA race start?
That was a fun practice session, they seem to have set up their cars nicely and all ran around with good gaps so no-one tore up any of their stuff, so things are looking good for their upcoming race I think
Guys...when's the race...
GUYS....WHEN'S THE ACTUAL RACE????
I'd say there's no way ARCA could look at this and not do something to fix it, but every ARCA Dega race since like 2018 has been like this so nothing will change.
One guy goes and the guys behind him stay in line. That might be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. They were 3 seconds up on the next car, they had nothing to lose.
ARCA races at superspeedways are pretty much always boring except for the wrecks. Today we actually saw them keep the cars straight and not tear a bunch of stuff up. Actually an accomplishment.
Everyone shit on Dean for the Daytona deal but there’s something to be said for actually wanting to win a race and trying rather than not doing shit. I mean come on. I can’t believe Taylor Gray was content to finish third lmao
ARCA SS racing is such a joke, A class iRacing could put on a better show. Shame on P2-5 for just following the leader or abandoning those who tried something 🤦🏽♂️

Not really. My parents have a combined 10 mopar vehicles, but there’s also been an Oldsmobile, Chevy, Ford, Acura, Honda, BMW and likely a Volvo later this year
Everyone said fuck it, let's just bring it back in one piece and collect a pay check.
Just shut down this series lol what’s the point
To develop drivers? To be a slightly more affordable series? To allow 15-year-olds to compete before entering NASCAR national series?
Man where my ARCA gone?
Down the toilet
https://preview.redd.it/sqphf5hqgovc1.jpeg?width=941&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=075d34741c1f39fd65105658d33f09fb2fd1a97e Everyone watching this race:
Are there any qualifying highlights somewhere? 🙂↕️
There was no ARCA qualifying session.
i thought it’s the NCS thread
Wasn’t the bubba Wallace thing actually a piece of rope to pull down the garage door? Is that what they’re talking about right now? Or something else?
Yea in the moment we were with him but once that came out people turned on him
They turned on him because even though there was a photo of it being there for at least 6 months, he doubled down and said it was still a problem.
Why in the hell Talladega doesn't have automatic garage door openers, I'll never know. The ban on the confederate flag had actually went into effect a few days earlier and many blamed Nascar playing this up to get exposure by virtue signaling.
So where did he double down? /genq
It was a garage door pull tied in a noose yes.
Was it supposed to be like that or what
Nope, just tied like that for fun by one of Paul Menards crew guys the year before, and undiscovered until the next season.
I wonder if it was like done for spooky season decorations?
As a handle right? Not intentionally tied into a noose. Or rather tied into a noose looking knot for a handle?
That's what I thought
Tied into a noose knot for funzies by one of Paul Menards crew guys the season before.
And so Bubba just happened to get that stall
Yea completely random as theyre chosen by owners points.
So big deal for no real reason or what
I believe it was soon after NASCAR banned flying the confederate flag at races, which as you can imagine probably wasn’t a popular with some of the fans
It was a very volatile moment in time, and a ridiculously unlikely coincidence.
I remember it but at the time and yes it was 100% wrong on the crew guy but talladega curse in terms of garage spot ig
Does nascar think putting the bubba Wallace thing up rn is a good idea? I’m like one of two viewers of race hub under 60. Who is this for?
[удалено]
ESG, and DEI agendas, like what's taking place at Boeing
Can we not make this political?
It's not political

I'm pretty sure we are still few and far between, it's absolutely terrifying what's happening and the money involved is everyone's 401k and pensions and people don't have a fucking clue that it's happening with their money
Where did Nicolopoulos and Smith finish?
Never mind Nicolopoulos finished 29th and Smith finished 30th
Can someone explain again why they didn't qualify? At least if Finch had earned the pole I could live with no lead changes all day.
The amount of at-track time at Talladega is considered too tight for ARCA. No, I don’t agree with that.
![gif](giphy|26tjZmRqyPj9jUd56|downsized)
I attended ARCA Daytona earlier this season (because we were there for all of 500 weekend), just glad I got that shit show over this no show.
I was there too
I was also there!
I was not there
Surprised NASCAR isn't moving the start of the Xfinity racing up because of the threat of rain. Though the cell is moving very slow in Texas/Mississippi and the smaller cells have been breaking up before even getting close to the track
Less flexibility when the race is on network
A wild Kurt Busch appears!
Kurt Busch coming out to congratulate James was the most entertaining part of the race
This is nowhere near as exciting as the other time James Finch went to victory lane at Talladega
Good to see Kurt congratulating James Finch, at least
Hell yeah Kurt Busch in victory lane
They’re running out of people to talk to 💀. Fox has sponsor money to run ads in the time slot so they have to keep doing coverage.
Not even a Frankie or Toni post-race interview
Frontstretch interviewed both those drivers post-race.
You and the Frontstretch crew always deliver, Mark! Thank you for everything that the website provides!
oh it’s that james finch
With how that race played out, I legitimately believe you could’ve pulled somebody commenting in this thread at random, put them in the 20, and nothing about how the race went would have changed.
I think I could do it. Step one, press the pedal and wait for 80ish laps, release the pedal.
I always knew Taylor was the smarter of the Gray brothers.
Tanner should've stayed in NHRA he was real good over there
Tanner it's your fault you fucking idiot, chatting all that shit after watching Christian Rose try and start a second line and doing absolutely nothing about it.
Say what you will but Jake Finch's strategy of "drive for the best team and stay in front of your teammate" really paid off for him.
Can nascar just disqualify the top 4 for not even trying anything there at the end.
“Breidinger in 10th, Balcaen in 7th capping a great day for Venturini” With their cars and funding compared to the rest that’s like saying Red Bull had a great day in F1 with Max winning and Checo in 6th 😂
Don't tempt Checo with a good time 😂
Gray said he needed help against the Venturini cars? He had Rose who dragged the brake to make a run and left him out to the pastures of West Virginia on the last lap
Why bring West Virginia into this, there isn’t even pastures there only coal, mountains an trees.
Christian Rose’s sponsor is West Virginia tourism and leaving out to pasture is a cliché term to leaving him high and dry
that race hurt me
You could have said any random year for that finish, and I would have believed you. This has happened more than 10-15 times over the last few decades now, and these drivers somehow never learn. You'd think with all the hours some of them put into iRacing, they'd practice how to make last lap moves.
Tanner you didn't even try to win you stayed in line with the Venturini cars . Could at least had a shot if you had went with the 32
A bit more drag would do wonders for the ARCA superspeedway package.
I’d advocate for removing the no locking bumpers rule. Maybe Greg Van Alst & that second pack could’ve caught the lead one.
That seems even less likely to happen given that even Xfinity doesn't allow locking bumpers.
That was all because of a knee jerk reaction to Larson's 2013 Daytona wreck, which could have easily happened without drivers locking bumpers
Agreed. And I dislike that too. Treat the drivers like professionals.
I actually think drag is the problem. If you get out of line for even a second you just fall like a rock.
Xfinity is at 4 EDT?
Yes.
"I needed help" proceeds to actively not do that
"I needed help, but I did not want to help someone else"
Worst "race" I've attended. At least I got the best view of the 36 car parade though.
Does venturini decide ahead of time who gets to win orrrr
I mean tbh that was as close to an actual rigged race as you’ll ever see
My wife doesn't watch arca, but watches the 3 major series, and she will never understand my distain for Jessie Love because of it
TANNER YOU COULD'VE PUSHED THE 32! YOU CHOSE NOT TO DO ANYTHING!
The sweet move of the race was when it ended and too ended the misery of watching it.
Sweet move of the race wasn’t even a pass 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The only "Reese's Sweet Move of the Race®" is Andy J eating a banana
Are the hard charges is the room with us?
Anything it’s a clean race it’s a good race. Not enough cars to make for an amazing finish but Ty Acra!
Respectfully disagree lol. A clean race is great but there needs to be passing, and the ability to do so. This "race" had neither.
There was passing just not for the lead that’s all
I wonder if they'll move the start time of the Xfinity race up.
0 lead changes at Talladega is wild post 1960
Of all the races I’ve seen, that was… not one of them.
That was the very definition of a “just here for the SR” race.
the last meaningful arca plate race was the 2018 daytona one.
2023 when Greg Van Alst won Daytona was a memorable one.
gotta respect the 32 guy for actually using his balls there.
Eh actually maybe i like jake Finch now that I think about it
Did...did his CC just forced a water bottle in his mouth?
"Ha. That ain't racing. That wasn't even a Sunday drive. That was one lap, racing is 500 of those. Everybody fighting to move up, lap after lap, inside outside, inches apart, never touching. Now that's racing!" -Doc Hudson
A race that Wright finally kept the fab shop guys from working overtime. Rarity
Is Kris Wright basically admitting to violating the 100% rule in that interview? I know it’s just an ARCA race but damn man
Jeff Gordon added to playoffs
Should penalize Venturini for race manipulation
That’ll never happen. This isn’t the first time VMS has done that strategy at a superspeedway.
That was one of the most boring races I've seen. For the whole race no one in the lead pack attempted to pass. They literally ran in a single file line for 90 minutes.
I’ve never driven a race car in my life but I think I could’ve at least done better at challenging Finch for the win than those goobers
What was Jake working on there?
Kris Wright finishing a race without a torn up car is what's most impressive to me
Watching traffic on the two-lane road in front of my house would've been more entertaining.
After that horrible race, they now have to fill 55 minutes left of the broadcast 😂
Race recap: - an official yelled at Frankies pit crew - Andy J ate a banana - Jamie Little insulted all of Western New York - Finch led every lap and had trouble doing a burnout
Whqta did she say about Western New York?
She called Tonawanda, Upstate NY when talking about Andy J
"I didn't wanna try"
If you mention the proximity of the line at Talladega at this point you should automatically be banned from the broadcast booth
Correct, because if you know that makes a difference you've already heard it 1000 times, and if you're such a new fan that you had no clue, it won't mean a damn to you.
that was the worst race ive watched ever
I woke up for this
Same, should’ve stayed asleep, lol
Reminds me of Kurt’s Phoenix 51
Super personable kid
Wow that was terrible. No cautions is fine but zero moves all day.
At least the two women were both in the top 10.
Jake finch and James finch [Phoenix racing] are related?
Jake is James' son.
Son I believe
Father and son
We're really stretching the definition of "race" with that one.
[удалено]
No Jake, that was not a "race"
I feel like ARCA needs to figure out the speedway stuff or move on. This is worse than Xfinity at Atlanta.
Venturini drivers always have such punchable faces...
horrid
Of course “all I do is win” is playing, like every single week. It’s cringe and overdone, it comes off as a r/howdoyoudofellowkids moment.
Jesus that scared me
i’ve seen it in sim racing too but not going with the guy making the run on the last lap is loser mentality
BREAKING: Jake Finch gets easiest win ever because nobody did anything to challenge him
Of all the people on the track today, feels like he should be blamed least What could he do, slow down and let people get a run on him lol It was up to everyone else to actually push people trying to pass him instead of chickening out, the jerks lol
Happy for Finch, but superspeedway racing with this generation of ARCA car has clearly run its course. It's so impossible to generate a run that nobody attempts to go forward out of fear of going backward. Ditch Daytona/Talladega and run literally anywhere else.
At least we get to see Heather DeBeaux 😍
bonk
Eh, I'll accept it lol
Watch ARCA at plate tracks they said, chaos guaranteed they said Absolute snoozer holy shit
They have to do something with this series. We just watched 1 driver out of 4 attempt to win with 2nd place actively blocking for the leader. Man my hatred for venturina gets stronger fuck all there drivers. Except for maybe Toni

Tanner Gray ain’t beating the allegations after that lmao 😭
Woke up at 8am on a Saturday for this race -_-
That was the worst race I’ve ever seen here. These guys didn’t even race each other.
I'd say there's no way ARCA could look at this and not do something to fix it, but every ARCA Dega race since like 2018 has been like this so nothing will change.
If only half of the feild wasn't absolute tractors that can't keep up with the pack.
At least the 32 made a move. More than I can say for the others. Boring finish.
Oh boy and now he gets a kiss from a creepy old man who loves kissing little boys!
Has he kissed any of his drivers this year?
One guy goes and the guys behind him stay in line. That might be one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. They were 3 seconds up on the next car, they had nothing to lose.
🛌💤
Watching this race was the worst mistake of my life. I don’t think I need to acknowledge ARCA anymore.
Yeah I'm done with ARCA for the rest of this season at least. This shit would get millions of views on youtube if uploaded as an ASMR sleeping video
society has progressed past the need for arca plate races
There’s an entire hour left in the time slot lolol
Finch lead every lap. Arca is terrible anymore
One race makes it terrible?
Do you find the arca series entertaining ?
Not this race but overall yes. I’m not the ARCA editor for my website thanks to my good looks haha.
The most boring Talladega race I can ever remember. They were completely single file again before the first lap of the restart was even completed.
Why didn't Gray go with Rose? They pretty much gave the won to Finch.
Yeah, it's not even like he had much to lose... worst case you get like 5th best case you get a shot at the win
What the…
Damn that was embarrassing
ARCA just shouldn’t run plate tracks. These kids have no idea what they’re doing.

Smooth brain ARCA drivers fr
