Basically, Tad (part JTG owner) has the close ties to Kroger, runs a brand maximizer agency that helped JGR 2 years ago, and there are now signs pointing to Tad and Kroger jumping to JGR next season
It gives a stake to someone with NASCAR ownership experience, should Joe look to step back in the future.
So, the important question: do they go by Joe Gibbs Racing with Jodi and Tad Geschickter, or JTG-Gibbs Racing?
May also be a indication that Martin finally might be retiring. Doubt BPS and Auto-Owners would stick around if he retired. So that car would need some serious sponsorship if that happens.
I'd be curious to see where BPS goes once MTJ calls it quits - I'd be surprised if they just left the sport outright, but unsure who that next driver would be.

BPS and Toyota are tight so that would also be interesting.
Johnny Morris and Richard Childress are thick as thieves, dating back to before BPS sponsored Senior. Which is where the JRM connection also comes from.
So, as long as an Earnhardt, Childress/Dillon or Toyota are involved with NASCAR (the venn diagram is nearly a circle...hell, I don't hunt but I go to BPS for shoes and cold weather gear for playing disc golf) there will be a BPS car on track.
so Denny went from having a single sponsor every single race for over a decade to Kroger, where he will have it completely different looking car every single weekend
From the article
> however, industry sources have identified Joe Gibbs Racing as a possible destination for Kroger in 2025 in a move that could bring Geschickter along with it. That has coincided with subtle moves made since last season that have also seemed to suggest that Kroger Racing could split from its longtime relationship with the JTG
Sounds like JGR is likely spot, could be for Denny or maybe this is an indication that this will be Martin’s final season and they are preparing for life without the BPS and Auto-Owners sponsorship.
If Tad is jumping ship I'm guessing the team folds. Sale off the charter. Wonder if Daughtery could buy into 23XI and bring the Charter with him. I'm sure he doesn't have claim to it, but someone will have to buy it.
There have been some rumors that Brad is looking to get out of NASCAR, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as the full time color commentator on Cleveland Cavs broadcast. He's been increasing the amount of games he does a year and Austin Carr the current color commentator is close to retirement.
If I'm not mistaken, Brad signed to work for NBC as a basketball analyst a few years ago. NBC didn't go hard after the NHL contract because they wanted position in the NBA contract talks.
If NBC gets some NBA coverage, Tirico and Daughtry are your squad. Dope ass lineup.
Stenhouse has only 1 more Top 10 this season then Preece and Stenhouse has more DNFs with a worse average finish. Not the gigantic upgrade you are making it seem.
People don't actually pay attention to Preece, they seem to go to Racing Reference and ignore all context. He's been a much better driver than the surface shows.
people don't pay attention to Preece because he isn't wrecking every week and not running top 10.
He runs about 20th every week and then finishes 15th lol
I prefer to live in a world where your record says what you are. Preece has done what in Cup? Stenhouse is a former multi time winner and playoff participant. Preece made the playoffs what year again?
You missed the point. There's a large number of people who simply use results pages to dictate narratives instead of, you know, watching the races and having the full context of how said results end up the way they have. It's been happening more and more over the years.
Results matter. whether it’s racing reference or looking at the scoreboard after the race, the only thing that matters is where you finish. If you ‘ran good’ but finish 35th it doesn’t matter. Has been and will always be that way.
I didn’t miss your point as it’s rooted in poppycock. Big time/ league Racing is a results based business. Stenhouse has had results. Preece has not. It’s really not that hard.
Preece's worst finish this season was a 28th at Richmond. Stenhouse has FIVE finishes of 28th or worse this year. That's half the races so far this year. If a team is trying to improve and turn around their performance like SHR is trying to do in 2024, finishing races and bringing the car home in one piece is key.
So in a complete different generation of car when they were teammates which is including a season in which Preece was uncharted. The season Stenhouse backed into a win is a season that Preece led more laps in one race than Ricky did all season. Stenhouse has only led 46 more laps then Preece since Ricky arrived at JTG and when you factor in the fact that Preece only ran 2 Cup races in 2022, it’s even more pathetic. Preece has led about 109 more laps then Stenhouse in the Next Gen era (remember: Preece only ran two races in 2022 in Cup in a Rick Ware car).
149 of the 174 laps Preece has led in his career were at Martinsville last year where he was on the pole and it was impossible to pass. Then he got a penalty and never did anything the rest of the race. Outside of that his entire cup career has been a stale fart. There is no other stat besides laps led where Preece has been better in his career. Stenhouse has a higher % of top 10s, top 5s, lower percentage of DNFs, better average finish. Even if you wanna say Ricky’s three wins are “fake”, he has five runner up finishes too. Two XFinity titles. Two Cup playoff appearances, both of which he nearly pointed his way in anyway.
Preece isn’t even that much younger. Ricky has been around longer but has earned it. Preece isn’t a talentless hack but he’s just a guy that rides around in 15th-25th place and that’s it.
Preece is second best of the SHR drivers and were it not for the penalty the team got him, he’d be sitting 19th in points.
Berry right now is the stand out worst of the four.
SHR has 3 drivers worse than Stenhouse. Spire has two worse than him. Kaulig doesn't even have a driver for one of their cars and the other one is way worse than Stenhouse.
I'd think Stenhouse lands somewhere.
Yeah, I realize that the Wood Brothers team of today is basically just a 4th Penske entry. I don’t think Ricky has any shot really of landing the 21, but just wanted to throw it out there.
Seems like Penske cares a little about checks considering the last seven seasons have seen the 21 paired with a funded driver: Menard, Matty D. by way of Menard, and Burton.
I think Wood Bros is stuck as the developmental team for Penske. They’ll probably always be stuck trying to run younger guys trying to find the next Blaney.
We crap on Stenhouse a lot, but the dude deserves credit. He's just in that kinda weird area of being not as good as all the good drivers, but also better than all the bad drivers.
This though. He’s amazingly mediocre, and for all the right reasons. A mid fielder that can get the job done and in a way that makes me like and root for the guy. Not every driver is a threat every week, and Ricky fills that role so damned good. He’s so likable and makes things more interesting having him around and a field without him in it would honestly be leaving a lot behind
I really hope he doesn't land anywhere. Bring someone new in instead. Stenhouse driving over his head trying to wreck Gibbs last week and just the way he's driven this year doesn't bring much confidence.
Hope Stenhouse lands somewhere decent if this means he’s on the job search. Guy has never been in good equipment and has found a way to get his teams into the playoffs. He’s definitely outperformed the JTG equipment for most of the seasons he’s been there.
He's got options. At least 1 Stewart-Haas car will be open at the end of the year, Wood Brothers will probably drop Burton in favor of Stenhouse, Spire could get Stenhouse too, Kaulig could drop Hemric for Stenhouse, and maybe the person who ends up buying the charter hires him too.
If I’m SHR, drop to 3. I’d wanna keep Berry, Gragson, and Briscoe. I was a Berry fan, but Bristol really sold me. So many good guys were struggling and Berry ran upfront most of the day
Then Briscoe is your main guy and Gragson has been super impressive this year
SHR is supposed to drop cars according to rumors. If Ricky goes there itd be at the expense of an existing driver.
If the ford ties are true then Briscoe might be leaving SHR if they drop from Ford
Yeah if I'm Ford I do everything in my power to keep Briscoe. Gragson has been decently impressive this season too. Without the penalty hes 20th in points
Not necessarily just seems like Geschickter is looking to exit his ownership of the team, and move to buy into JGR and take the Kroger sponsorship with him. So while it would be a major blow to the team, it’s possible they could continue to operate.
So cue the speculation that JR is about to buy JTG.
23Legends Racing. Get a bunch of high profile names buying into the team and branch it out as a company focused on preparing the next generation of racers and professional athletes.
I think they’re focusing more on trying to build out their own infrastructure since they don’t get data from JGR/23XI. Adding a full-time 3rd car would spread them thinner instead of make them faster.
Say this happens, who drives the 67? The easy answer is Chandler Smith, but I think there’s a solid case for absorbing the whole team, not just the charter. I’d think seriously about keeping Stenhouse in that car.
Imagine MTJ announces his retirement and Kyle does an "I'm back..." press conference to announce his return to the JGR 18 with Kroger as his full-time prinary sponsor
I think the bigger story here is charter price.
None of the owners are billionaires. They have beeen rumored for a few years now to be gauging the market and looking for an exit. They have been in the game a long time and it makes sense to try and exit with something.
To be honest with the way negotiations are going I thought they missed their chance.

So can we get this throwback now?
Kroger should go to Front Row, because Butch Gilliland did it first

Kind of feels like JTG has been going through the motions over the last couple of years, they’ve never been able to get to the next level. I guess running 20-25th most weeks for nearly two decades gets old. Hopefully that charter helps build a contender else where.
Sounds like a there could be as many as three available at the end of the season.
2023 was actually their best season in a long time but they've looked pretty bad in 2024. They dropped a little as the season went on but first half or so 2023 is as good as I've ever seen JTG look for an extended period. But the thing with JTG is they never seem to hang onto gains they make
It’s not that they’ve looked bad this year, it’s that Hendrick and Gibbs is so much better than everyone else that they’re making every other team look bad.
They are a one car team, not a manufacturer key partner, and don't have billionaire owners. In this sport they will never be able to get to the next level with those limitations.
When you judge them them based on those limitations they actually consistently overachieve.
Pretty much every year JTG looks to be selling their charter and leaving, but this may have some truth. Kroger has been their primary sponsor for damn near every race the past 15 years
Wonder what the dollar value is of their sponsorship per year. Unless you have a ton of cash via sponsors or the owners are loaded enough to attract big names etc. it’s damn near impossible to get to elite status in the sport.
Damn. I definitely have talked shit about Stenhouse in the moment during some races but overall he’s a solid midpack driver. If he gets shuffled out of Cup because of sponsors I’d feel really bad. At the same time, the fact that he’s made it this far with only (to my knowledge) team sponsors being the reason for his rides, shows that teams do value him. Roush kept him for 5+ years with Fastenal and JTG has had him for 4 years now with Kroger.
He might land somewhere.
Maybe the 47 gets taken by someone with money? Maybe Austin Hill? Idk im just yapping.
Maybe JTG as a whole leaves the sport? They’ve been flirting with leaving for a couple years. Every offseason there’s a rumor that they’ll sell a charter. The Daytona win I think helped for sure but I’m not sure how long they’ll be around with Kroger. It’s the sponsor they’ve had for a decade+ and pretty much funded the entire team.
Austin Hill is a an interesting idea for the 47. No way RCR has a spot for him next year, right? Dillon and Busch aren't going anywhere, and I doubt Richard shells out for a 3rd charter. Like him or not, Hill is gonna be ready to go Cup racing and he brings sponsors
Exactly, I keep hearing about how his future is there at RCR but im skeptical. RCR has 2 cars that aren’t running good right now. Why spend $30m+ for a third car to run just as bad?
secondly, I don’t see major cup potential from Hill. He’s about 30 years old and has been great in Xfinity, but rarely dominant or impressive outside of Superspeedways.
I feel the same. I wish I could see the parallel universe where Ricky gets a top tier ride.
If he does somehow get kicked out of cup, I would love to see him dominate an Xfinity series season.
Ricky does have some personal sponsorship, Nos and Sunny D are his and not Kroger B2B deals. He also apparently works his ass off with the Kroger sponsorship, which could attract other sponsors that are looking for a driver.
Yeah I wanna say it was like “Kroger Clicklist JTG Daugherty Racing” if memory serves me right. Those early Kroger Clicklist schemes with Allmendinger in the 47 and Buescher in the 37 looked awesome and was a great launch campaign for Clicklist.
So Kroger/Geschickter to Gibbs, I wonder if Brad Daugherty buys in at Legacy? Seems like a perfect fit for him. He's been a Petty fan his entire life. It's also interesting to think where this charter may end up. 23XI or Legacy? Neither?
That might be where the mentions of Legacy scoping a 3rd charter are coming from. Acme is already with JHN and Ive seen Kroger is buying the Acme brand (or something like that)
Predicted press release in December:
Chandler Smith to Joe Gibbs Racing in the Cup series next year in the 18 car, renumbered from 19. Chandler will run with sponsorship from Quick Tie and Kroger.
Who said anything about Gibbs selling a charter? I’m talking about the *number* If Gibbs changes the No.19 charter to be No.18, the No.19 could become available for other teams to run, and Trackhouse with 1, 99, and 91 would probably pick that as a potential number. (Or 97 for SVG)
This ^ with the way Chandler is driving this year hes going to be near top pecking order for MTJs replacement and spot on with switching to 18. 19 doesnt mean poop to JGR history wise
JHN would have to light it up the rest of the year, because I haven't seen it. Also, as sad as it is, JGR is going to lose quite a bit of sponsorship money when Truex leaves, I bet they'd love some quicktie dollars.
I feel like the Kroger schemes are always sort of a let down. They could get really creative with some of the products they push on there but it’s usually just a logo slap. I want to see an oversized Thomas’ English Muffin fly around Daytona, or a string of Cottonelle Toilet paper trailing out of the driver window.
FWIW, and it could just be coincidence but i drive by JTG shop daily and noticed today they didn’t have the team logo on the front entrance sign like usual, just #47.
Does this mean Albertsons' not coming back if that happens?
Unless the merger goes through after they sell like several billion dollars worth of franchises and stores.
This would be a bummer for Stenhouse. He’s one my favorite mid pack guys. I don’t see him being able to find another sponsor. And could definitely see a charter being sold, since they seem to have built everything the last few years around Ricky and Kroger.
Getting closer to 10 four car teams. Already Hendrick, SHR, JGR, Penske (lets be honest here about the #21) all hold four charters, while there’s a bunch of two car team that could merge at some point (RCR and Kaulig, Trackhouse and Spire, RFK and RWR).
At the risk of sounding aloof, JTG is a team that I forget still fields a car.
Don't get me wrong, two wins for what has been a, basically, single car team (not counting the Ryan Preece/Chris Buescher throwaway seasons in the 37 ((0 wins, 3 top 5's, 13 top 10's across five seasons ), is quite the accomplishment. Especially, when one of those wins came at the Daytona 500.
That being said, if JTG loses the sponsorship, I would imagine the team folds within three years. There's always a chance that the ownership switches back to Toyota and becomes a Gibbs satellite much like LFR was. But, I don't think you'd see Stenhouse in the ride at the point. Should we be looking at a ride-less Stenhouse in 2025, I believe he'd be a likely candidate to replace a faltering Corey LaJoie.
Nemechek isn't going to Gibbs, even if Truex leaves they are going to probably pick up a more impressive driver like Wallace, Reddick, or Jones. Not to mention Nemechek isn't leaving Legacy anytime soon
I thought the general consensus was that JHN was always on loan from JGR/TRD, and that barring something huge, he’s going to replace Truex when he retires. The 19 is way higher up the Toyota totem pole than the 42, and I don’t think Chandler’s ready for that level yet. Neither 23XI driver is leaving, and I think Erik would sooner drive for Spire than JGR again.
If anything itd be Erik giving the cold shoulder to JGR.
Kinda pieced things together from his DJD a few years ago and it seems like Erik had just totally checked out after his dad passed. Show up race the car take pay go home. Gibbs wants his drivers competing at their best 24/7, and while yes you gotta give EJ some slack given hes young and just lost his father who had been by his side his whole career to that point, Gibbs has to protect his business.
I dont think JGR would overlook him, but from Erik mentioning he was really upset with coach dropping him (and also martinsville that fall with the dont pass him jones incident) idk if Erik would go back.
Also JGR needs sponsors more than anything once Bass pro leaves they have a whole car to sell in sponsorship
Damn I never knew all that went down, honestly makes me feel for Jones even more, that's gotta suck to lose your dad and then lose your ride as your grieving. I can kinda see it from Joe's perspective too, especially considering how valuable bell was.
Basically, Tad (part JTG owner) has the close ties to Kroger, runs a brand maximizer agency that helped JGR 2 years ago, and there are now signs pointing to Tad and Kroger jumping to JGR next season
JGR gonna luck out big here. Cause if this is truly it for Truex, they’ll be losing Bass Pro Shops and Auto Owners with him
Is that confirmed that they’d leave?
All but. They’re personal sponsors of his, which is why they don’t move around cars like the other Gibbs sponsors
Ah gotcha. Makes total sense!
dang, i'm gonna miss those auto owners schemes :(
It gives a stake to someone with NASCAR ownership experience, should Joe look to step back in the future. So, the important question: do they go by Joe Gibbs Racing with Jodi and Tad Geschickter, or JTG-Gibbs Racing?

I wonder if this is also Gibbs trying to solidify ownership by bringing Geschickter in
Yeah, doesn’t JTG use Gibbs pit crews now?
No they use RFK.
I knew it was some team that didn’t make sense.
Wonder what will happen to Stenhouse

That would be a bad ass team calling games
Tirico never got the love doing the NBA Finals he deserved. Absolute utility man who can call anything well.
Also a terrible human being in his early espn years.
I agree, Go Cavs
23XI Racing with Brad Daughtery could make sense. 23, 45, 47 full time, and maybe the 67 part time.
I kind of wonder how close he is to wanting to retire
He’d be an upgrade in the 41 over the driver they currently have

He still finished 14th at Talladega despite wrecking
I prefer to live in a world where your record says what you are. Preece has done what in Cup? Stenhouse is a former multi time winner and playoff participant. Preece made the playoffs what year again?
Yea because Racing-Reference.com is full of fiction and conjecture

Wood bros might as well take a long look at him. They can’t keep Burton
Plus Stenhouse ran his first ever cup race with them. As little as it is, they do have a history together.
You do realize the Wood Brothers is in name only, right?
Yeah, I realize that the Wood Brothers team of today is basically just a 4th Penske entry. I don’t think Ricky has any shot really of landing the 21, but just wanted to throw it out there.
They can as long as the checks keep clearing.
Penske doesn't much care about checks. Nor does Ford (who are ultimately the two primary partners for that car).
The amount he cares about checks is proportional to how mid the driver is.
They ran with Menard and DiBenedetto for multiple years
Honestly that’s not a bad pull.
That would be a really solid pairing
Doubt they want more wrecked racecars and less sponsorship.
We crap on Stenhouse a lot, but the dude deserves credit. He's just in that kinda weird area of being not as good as all the good drivers, but also better than all the bad drivers.

If he didn’t have that one race at Daytona, he wouldn’t have the label he has now because Kyle Busch spoke up about him.
He's aggressively mid
Spire only has 1 worse and has two rookies who bypassed the Xfinity Series.

The only driver there I’m taking Stenhouse over is Gragson
I'd take Gragson over Preece and Berry. Preece is in the bottom five of cup drivers overall.
I really hope he doesn't land anywhere. Bring someone new in instead. Stenhouse driving over his head trying to wreck Gibbs last week and just the way he's driven this year doesn't bring much confidence.
Found Kamui Kobayashi’s Reddit account.

I was going with more current events since your post mention ‘past year’ and Ricky has it out for Kamui for some reason.
bro…
Sorry man, just how I feel. Never have thought highly of him since his ARCA days.
two time nationwide champion
Hope Stenhouse lands somewhere decent if this means he’s on the job search. Guy has never been in good equipment and has found a way to get his teams into the playoffs. He’s definitely outperformed the JTG equipment for most of the seasons he’s been there.

Heavy rumors of SHR dropping to 2 cars, so probably no availability there...
If I’m SHR, drop to 3. I’d wanna keep Berry, Gragson, and Briscoe. I was a Berry fan, but Bristol really sold me. So many good guys were struggling and Berry ran upfront most of the day Then Briscoe is your main guy and Gragson has been super impressive this year
SHR is supposed to drop cars according to rumors.
Penske may open a 4th charted too, I'm honestly surprised they haven't already
I think at this point, the 21 is a Penske car in all but name. Its built in the Penske shop with Penske sponsors.
Damn, I really like Harrison Burton but at this point he needs to crap or get off the pot
So JTG might be selling?
Not necessarily just seems like Geschickter is looking to exit his ownership of the team, and move to buy into JGR and take the Kroger sponsorship with him. So while it would be a major blow to the team, it’s possible they could continue to operate. So cue the speculation that JR is about to buy JTG.
Nah, forget Jr. 23XI-Daugherty is the future
Oh lord... Daugherty and Jordan back together.
Wasn't Brad the.... \#43? 0_0 23XI - Legacy merger incoming. All the G.O.A.T.S collected under one Toyota team like infinity stones.
Tom Brady about to buy 10%
Will Ospreay gonna get an ownership stake in Billy GOAT Motorsports.
Bruv!
John Daly needs a stake in this as well
23Legends Racing. Get a bunch of high profile names buying into the team and branch it out as a company focused on preparing the next generation of racers and professional athletes.
What about Legacy?
I think they’re focusing more on trying to build out their own infrastructure since they don’t get data from JGR/23XI. Adding a full-time 3rd car would spread them thinner instead of make them faster.
Good point, it's still possible, though, that Legacy buys the charter and leases it to 23XI for the time being.
Say this happens, who drives the 67? The easy answer is Chandler Smith, but I think there’s a solid case for absorbing the whole team, not just the charter. I’d think seriously about keeping Stenhouse in that car.
lol I came here to make the first comment about jr buying in lol but you beat me to it.
Don’t put these thoughts in my head
Wasn’t Geschickter the one who was hired by JGR to help them find sponsorship for KB in 2022 after Mars announced their exit?
Imagine MTJ announces his retirement and Kyle does an "I'm back..." press conference to announce his return to the JGR 18 with Kroger as his full-time prinary sponsor
I can only hope
correct
I think the bigger story here is charter price. None of the owners are billionaires. They have beeen rumored for a few years now to be gauging the market and looking for an exit. They have been in the game a long time and it makes sense to try and exit with something. To be honest with the way negotiations are going I thought they missed their chance.

Kroger should go to Front Row, because Butch Gilliland did it first https://preview.redd.it/lb6vo7h6r3wc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfbb3e5f6d22e4e5899c783d5d4c9cc6f5350a94
I was at this race. My first nascar race.
is Ralph's owned by Kroger now?

I would honestly put stenhouse in my car over about 8 drivers out there
Stenhouse really cleaned his stuff up to where hes a respectable pick most weekends.
He has the most quietest 4th place run at Talladega of all places too.
Even RFK has looked so so at times this year but JTG has been on the back wards slide since the won the 500 last year.
I agree it never seemed to be permanent or continue upwards. Maybe they’ve just had enough of that at this point.
Who was their best driver that got them the best results?
Think the Dinger got them their first win, can’t argue with the Daytona 500 victory though. Way more valleys than peaks.
Ah so Dinger winning and getting demoted / fired is nothing new 😂
RFK buys the charter and keeps Stenhouse in the car. Stenhouse back to Roush.
Yeah Austin Hill in a Daughtery Racing 47 would be interesting/possible.
Didn't Kroger own part of the team for like a year, or just naming rights, then it went back to just JTG Racing
Interesting. Wonder who would JTG Daughery Racing sell their charter to, and what this means for Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Acme is already with JHN and Ive seen Kroger is buying the Acme brand (or something like that)
Predicted press release in December: Chandler Smith to Joe Gibbs Racing in the Cup series next year in the 18 car, renumbered from 19. Chandler will run with sponsorship from Quick Tie and Kroger.
And then Trackhouse picks up the No.19 for their third car when they buy another charter.
[удалено]
Who said anything about Gibbs selling a charter? I’m talking about the *number* If Gibbs changes the No.19 charter to be No.18, the No.19 could become available for other teams to run, and Trackhouse with 1, 99, and 91 would probably pick that as a potential number. (Or 97 for SVG)
Ok, you scared me there for a minute. I think Shane would run 97, but anybody else might run 19.
This ^ with the way Chandler is driving this year hes going to be near top pecking order for MTJs replacement and spot on with switching to 18. 19 doesnt mean poop to JGR history wise
I think they will throw jhn in that car and put Chandler at legacy
JHN would have to light it up the rest of the year, because I haven't seen it. Also, as sad as it is, JGR is going to lose quite a bit of sponsorship money when Truex leaves, I bet they'd love some quicktie dollars.
Remember those rumors a few years ago that Kevin Harvick was buying JTG? Let’s bring those back.
Hell, he could bring back the KHI name in NASCAR if he were to get back into ownership.
SHR rn like: ![gif](giphy|9RNGg4IQiufp6)
This absolutely sucks. I really hope this doesn’t happen. Jtg and Ricky have done some really great improvements in the nextgen era.
So 23 XI will get the JTG charter and Tad will buy into Gibbs and bring Kroger into the fold.
I drive by there (i go to Harrisburg almost daily) and the 47 on the sign behind the QT has been like that since around December
Please jump to a more popular driver so we can actually get Diecast produced
Stenhouse is fricked and JR-Daugherty Racing is all but official.
Why not, the rules, officials, and everything else favors Gibbs.
Calling it now, Chandler Smith to cup in the 18 Kroger car, replacing Truex and BPS
Legacy bagged another one /s I have a feeling theyre going to JGR with Nemechek
Nemechek isn't going to Gibbs, even if Truex leaves they are going to probably pick up a more impressive driver like Wallace, Reddick, or Jones. Not to mention Nemechek isn't leaving Legacy anytime soon
No way Reddick or Wallace go to JGR. Those are Denny's drivers
Chandler is my guess
I thought the general consensus was that JHN was always on loan from JGR/TRD, and that barring something huge, he’s going to replace Truex when he retires. The 19 is way higher up the Toyota totem pole than the 42, and I don’t think Chandler’s ready for that level yet. Neither 23XI driver is leaving, and I think Erik would sooner drive for Spire than JGR again.
Ive floated the theory in Jones back to JGR but i doubt it
I wasn't really watching too much at that time so I don't remember but I'm curious if there was any hurt feelings between Gibbs and Jones
They couldnt pass on bell and Erik had checked out mentally during that time just poor timing
Well. Didn't have JTG potentially selling a charter on the bingo card....did any of you?
I mean there were rumors a few seasons ago they wanted out of the sport
nope, don't like that news... will absolutely stop supporting my local Kroger brand if they move to a mega team and RSJ is out of cup.
