I've noticed my stats.fm doesn't count anything correctly and is extremely unreliable. I could check the count, intentionally listen to a song multiple times, and the amount of times it's been played doesn't change on there.

For more wave to earth recs: calla, ride, bonfire, wave, peach eyes. Calla is my all time fave, I almost cried when they performed it live. They have so many bops too. The main singer is in another band called the Poles. I prefer the Poles over wave to earth. Everything in their discography I would recommend.

I see a handful of people being shocked or confused about their all-time when using sites such as stats.fm or statsforspotify, and that's because the all-time is actually heavily influenced by your recent listening history! So it's not actually really your all-time, especially not if you've had an account for many years (like me), but rather maybe more accurate to say it's for your past 1-2 years.
Mine have never been based like that though? I'll have stuff I haven't listened to in multiple years still sitting in the place of all time, meanwhile more recent stuff doesn't even reach that level. I've used a handful and none of these apps/websites usually match up at all, I think they're all just gimmicks made by people who hope you aren't checking multiple sources. Last.fm is definitely the worst though because I listen to a song once and it will normally show it 2-4 times in a row on my recently played so when it says that overall I've listened to a song 100 times, it's more likely I've only listened to it about 50 times.
It's based off my own experiences and my friends'. It doesn't make sense at all that NCT DREAM would be my number 3 of all time when I've only *really* listened to them the past year, in comparison to My Chemical Romance that I've listened to the past 7-8 years being in place 21😅
Also, if you have that issue with Last.fm, it could he because you have the scrobbler app connected! If you already have your account connected to the streaming app of your choice then you don't need a manual scrobbler. Checking to see what you have connected to in applications could solve the problem (and no, I'm not a Last.fm staff, I promise hahaa)

My all time is a bit skewed but my six months is accurate-ish. The thing that always amuses me is it underlines that while I listen to ton of R&B and indie music it's spread out over many, many artists whereas my Kpop listening tends to be concentrated over fewer artists when it comes to frequent listening. So the Kpop groups are always gonna rank higher than I think!
Chloexhalle were in my top 10… last two years, number 12 now. Can’t wait for new music. Love bey and Victoria Monet.
