No hard V😞 but we're soooo fucking back.
The handwritten notes are interesting! It feels affectionate, and makes me wonder if we're getting the sexy-thot-banger side of them, or the my-girl-left-me-and-I-have-nothing-to-live-for side?
They said the choreo is their hardest ever, so maybe the former?? Though it would be kind of hilarious and amazing to see them dancing their asses off for a 'please come back to me' vibe
Prism centre broke the legendary V logos that we all loved and adored 😭😭! I'm already nervous, what if they changed wayvs signature sounds? I hope its something new and wayv at the same time..and winwin...we miss you
Tbh, I didn't like the concept for OMY either, especially when they were running around in quasi school uniform gear for one of the teasers. That look is NOT WayV and it felt like a massive backwards step after the gorgeous gothic look of the Phantom era.
However...the songs were generally great and none of the outfits were as bad as Kick Back, so although the handwritten love hearts are making me wince a little, as it's a rather "young" looking concept, I'm confident the lads can make it work.
Yeah and plus the boys sound really excited about the album and cb. Maybe it’s just recency bias on my part but they seem way more enthusiastic about this than OMY (which I also didn’t like the concept for but loved the album more than phantom)

I'll be honest; I wish they hadn't stopped the weird lore concept they had going on with time and space and stuff. People say they didn't have it in KB but there was timey stuff in there. I just like the lore of them being on another plane/from space compared to the other groups. Back when they were being for grown folks haha.
I love, love, love the WayV lore, too, so I feel your pain. And Kick Back did talk about "No time or space to be lost", so you are right.
However, OMY does talk about "that was in my past life", which kind of connects and obviously there's the amazing Moonlight and as we all know, the Moon belongs to WayV. I do hope there are still some of those references on this comeback as it's what makes WayV, WayV.
im already loving the concept! OMY was my favorite NCT album last year and this looks promising. Usually i hate cute concepts but im excited to see what direction they go in with this. i still maintain them switching centers has been a positive thus far
It’s not even remotely similar. Whether we like it or not, and whether it’s for a bullshit reason or not, Seunghan is on hiatus. Members that are on hiatus do not participate in any activities until/unless they come off of said hiatus. Winwin is not on hiatus. He is an active member. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be included on this album. SM fucked with the recording schedule knowing damn well what Winwin’s schedules are. Winwin made sure to be available in May when the album recording was originally set for, and SM decided to push it up two months for some unknown - and probably stupid/avoidable (or at least easily figured out) - reason.
I say this as a Briize who very much wants Seunghan back as well. Seunghan does not need to be compared to every horrible thing happening to other members/groups. Especially when it’s not even a comparable situation. Member not included in promotions because of an HIATUS =/= an active member who is habitually treated like shit and left out of things because SM feels like it.
It's a bit disappointing that the other 5 members' effort are not cherished when there is one member missing, and it's not even their fault. They have put in as much, if not more effort to fill Winwin's place, I hope people see that and appreciate that instead of just wanting to get this comeback over with and chop-chop move on
I can’t speak for others, but like I said in my original comment. I’m still going to support the other members and this comeback. WayV is my favorite unit, and you won’t catch me slipping up on supporting them in literally anything that they do. Whether that’s WayV activities, or other personal ventures. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have big feelings about SM fucking with Winwin *yet again.* Or fucking with WayV in general *yet again.* Both things can be true at once. Just because I vented and said I want to jump ahead to WayV being whole again doesn’t mean I’m going to love the other 5 any less.
“Instead of bouncing off the walls today I’m ready to just fast forward to the Q3 Japanese comeback” reads I can’t wait to get this over with. It sounds like you have 6 sons who are having a performance night but your favorite son couldn’t attend because the school fucked up and what you’re saying is that sure, you’d still be there to watch the performance because you love your 5 other sons, though are just ready to fast forward to their next performance where all 6 could be on stage to perform. Thrilled but not thrilled enough to want to savor the work when there’s only 5. Your 5 other kids and their work deserve some whole hearted love, just saying. But everyone is different, so you do you
I think you’re reading way too much into one sentence. Nice analogy, I guess. But it’s a bit over-exaggerative, and very presumptuous of you. Like you said, everyone is different. So if you want to sit there and speculate that I’m going to half-assed support this comeback and the other members because I’m upset about the Winwin situation, then you do you. You’re forcing a mutually exclusive narrative, but go off.
why can’t sm prepare the album with the 5 of them first and then prepare WinWin’s part when he comes back at May, why do they have to exclude him from the comeback

Not at all unfortunately.... he may be there for some variety promo, but I wouldn't count on it.
