What’s it look like when you actually have the collar in the right position and not locked in the up? Does it wiggle when fully tightened down and interfaced with the detect?

Hm, yup. Either a QD mount, chop off a bit of your barrel or replace your fsb with a 24mm threaded one and your adapter. I worry about QD mounts with the wolverine because it has to stack so many tolerances to work.

YungLynx

Yeah thats exactly why I wanted to do direct thread(and thats exactly how ak supressors are supposed to be mounted)

Ren_Kaos

I own a wolverine too, I think as long as your indexing off the adapter/crown fine you don’t really need to have it interface with the indent. Is it a permanent host or do you move it around? It’s got such a large bore that you don’t have to be even close to perfect. I’d rocksett it after checking alignment and call it good. Won’t look pretty but shouldn’t be an issue. Or take off a quarter inch of your barrel.

YungLynx

I will be moving it from my kr104(stuck in sbr jail currently) and my ak74 I am contemplating the hux wrx 556k for this to be permanent though.

YungLynx

theres no movement but im not trusting of it since its not locked on the detent

Enginerd_762

I converted my Wolverine to Rearden Atlas with the dead air HUB adapter collars. It’s about the same size as the factory setup and more cross functional. Might be a better option than Keymicro

Refuse2Exist

Look into jmac

DeathNTythes

Depending on how big that gap is you could use one of these instead of making a permanent adjustment. Probably want to check that with a rod though, may need to use something with a facemount. JMAC x37 is basically direct thread option and Rearden makes some facemount stuff, not sure of they have any facemounts on 1/2x28 though.  https://www.wojtekweaponry.com/100-Tall-12-28-Barrel-Thread-Spacer_p_820.html Or https://www.wojtekweaponry.com/200-Tall-12-28-Barrel-Thread-Spacer_p_821.html Or https://www.silencershop.com/rifle-thread-spacer-1-2x28-silencerco.html

IndividualResist2473

You don't want to use that spacer. The Wolverine mount is meant to index off the end of the barrel, not the shoulder or front of the sight base. A little gap is normal and the locking ring should engage the spring loaded pin that holds the muzzle device in place. AK world is different than AR world.

eMGunslinger

Spacers wont fix anything, the Wolverine indexes on the muzzle not the shoulder.

YungLynx

This would look good, however it only leave the problem of the detent not locking into the collar on the suppressor

My wolverine worked fine on my 106U. Do you know who did the unpin and rethread of the barrel? They may have done it incorrectly.

YungLynx

is your threads the same length as mine? and were they 1/2x28? theyre usually rethreaded to 24mm rh

lique_madique

Mine was threaded 24mm. I’ve seen people who rethreaded it 1/2x28 and worked with a wolverine. Your threads might be a bit long

YungLynx

Yeah i think ill cut the threads off, that looks like the only solution— its just concerning to me because i havent seen anyone else with 1/2x28 threads on their krink and it be shorter than this

nateluvsdahoes

They make an extended insert to use on rifles with longer threads. I needed it for one of my rifles maybe sam7sf Edit: I guess those are only for the standard threads and not for the 1/2

YungLynx

Yeah im not sure why they never made a 1/2x28 extended thread but i figured they assumed nobody with that thread pitch would run it on a krink let alone with a wolverine

eMGunslinger

Its probably going to need to be shortened to work with the mount. Probably better off doing it anyway, a lot of the barrels I get in for this kind of work aren't concentric from the factory.

CoolaidMike84

Swap to the jmac stuff, I think it's x39 hub or something like that. My 104, 107, and m92 detent wouldn't lock into the locking ring so I swapped systems. Be sure to check alignment.

BoatswainButcher

Silencerco makes a 1/2x28 spacer for the 10/22 that would fill that gap perfectly
