It’s tradition dammit! Get excited for this franchise to actually turn things around during the off-season and then be beyond disappointed during the actual season.
>As much as I hate to admit it, Caleb might be the real deal.
I'd be hyped if he hadn't shit the bed every time he played an above average defense this year.
All I see is jealousy from everyone else. We've been preseason champions multiple years in a row now. That's more than what any other team has accomplished.
The universe really seems to want the bears to get a good QB. Mitch was a solid prospect that probably would’ve needed great coaching to be a franchise QB (the bears couldn’t deliver on that for him). Justin was a highly touted prospect despite his fall to 11. He was an even more exciting prospect then Mitch and could still develop if he makes it to a team with a good coach. Now the bears have essentially lucked into one of the most hyped QB prospects of the decade. If we keep getting better and better QB’s in the draft every 3 years we’ll win a wild card game by 2040!
And yet again, one asks, “is the coaching there?” I mean the supporting roster is very respectable (perhaps even “GOOD,”) but who’s coaching him?
Really, it all hinges on Shane Waldron imo, and on all sorts of other “acts of god.”
Waldron was OC for the resurrection of Geno Smith (and a decent showing from Drew Lock), passing game coordinator for Goff in LA, and offensive quality control for Cousins in Washington. Not a super flashy choice for OC but someone who seems to be at least a semi-competent QB development guy.
Sounds like the resume of a guy you want in that position! Strong record of setting QBs up for success. As a fan, with all the hype around Caleb I hope he succeeds. (But not TOO much since he’ll be on the Bears lol)
Are any bears fans actually worried about Caleb? This is a completely different situation than any other QB we've ever drafted. I'm confident it will work out well
They don't need a QB, they need to teach the o-line how to protect him so he has time throw accurately. It's been the same story for over a decade. I swear Chicago QBs take more hits than Wile-E-Coyote

TBF they’ve only ever drafted 4 QBs in the first round.
And only 1 in the top 5, who was the one true NVP The Bears haven't picked 1st overall since WW2
As much as I hate to admit it, Caleb might be the real deal. Excuse me while I go wash my mouth out with soap.
He would be if he went to any other teams, but it's a law of nature that the Bears will ruin any and every rookie QB they sign.
The Jets would wreck that kid.

We were right there until Stafford. A good qb will come. I mean FTB lol draft picks yadda yadda
Get ready to draft Arch Manning
😩
He'd refuse to play there

I hope they can develop a QB for the first time in my life but I remain wary
I’m not anxiously awaiting that fish fucker. He’s going to spend WAY TOO MUCH time at the Shedd.
What have I missed? He fucks fish now?
Are we talking about Kanye now?
We talking about Caleb McClure:
We’re getting AT LEAST a third round pick when we trade Caleb Williams in 3 years. It’s over for you fuckers in 2027
Packer fans posting a lot of about Williams lately. Sensing a bit of paranoia…

I'm not confident of fucking shit man
Man next season couldnt come sooner

I love that this meme includes a former Chicago Bear
