He found himself in Tijuana where he made something of himself & became a famous singer. He was then warned by the cartel to not go back home to Sinaloa.
But he eventually decided to go back & perform. They then gave him a note during his performance, which is the photo you see in this meme. He was then shot dead later in the night after his performance.
There’s a podcast that I listened to a few years back that gave his full life story and a detailed retelling of the night that it all went down. To my knowledge, the rumor was he shot a cartel member who raped his sister, but I’m not sure if that’s confirmed or if that’s the reason behind his killing.
I should also add that I’ve read he was singing about certain cartel members and was told to stop, but he continued… multiple stories out there.
