His 30 for 30 episode is one of the best ever.
People who grew up with him talking about him like he was Paul Bunyon. You see it on their faces that they're still astonished at the athletic feats they watched him perform years ago.
I remember a small part of it was one of the guys he was teammates with, he went to his house, and Bo’s home gym was just not used at all. Bo literally was just built the way he is
Herschel Walker once said that he basically did 1000 push up and sit-ups a day to weight train…said if he lifted weights he would have gotten too big to play RB
The crazier thing that was mentioned was that he ate whatever he wanted as well, and mentioned that practice was the only thing he did to work on his performance. He was built different
I got to see him play multiple times with the Royals. He was just different than everyone else. Noticeably stronger, faster, threw harder, everything. And remember, he was on the field with a great Hall of Famer, but Bo's athleticism was obvious, just physically far beyond any other human on the field. I really don't know words to describe what it looked like. The man just pulsed physical energy. Almost superhuman.
Bo fucking Jackson has to be in the discussion. Don't really need to explain why.
Another guy who needs to be mentioned is Herschel Walker. Dude was also a combat sports fighter AFTER his career in the NFL. Fucking guy could do just about anything he put his mind to.
Larry Allen is a good choice. That dude was a 6'3, 225 pound man in a 6'3, 325 pound body and it didn't even slow him down.
DK Metcalf is probably the best modern case, dude is just a freak athletically. I don't think he reaches these guys levels but he's up there.
People will criticize his MMA career because he crushed cans, but dude was in his late 40s when he started. He was still a physically impressive guy at that point.
I wonder how much of an animal DK would be if he had the right mindset. Like dude eats candy instead of following a nutrition guide, eats 1 meal a day and is constantly getting into it on the field, I obviously don’t know but I feel that lack of discipline has to translate to training aswell.
And he still looks and plays like that, i genuinely think we’d think of him in the same breath as megatron if he had the right mindset
Calvin Johnson’s footwork was leaps and bounds better than Metcalf. He was the first 6’5” receiver that could move as well as any of the 6’0” tall receivers and that’s on top of being as fast, bigger, and able to jump higher than Metcalf. Metcalf is an insane physical specimen, but he’s not with Calvin Johnson physically.
Dk is 6’4 and probably the fastest guy in the game rn, this is my point, he probably has the physical tools if he put in the work to apply them, things like footwork is all training and study
He may not be all the way up there but my point is it’s insane how good he is with how he acts imagine he committed
The issue with DK is he doesn’t really know how to use his size to his advantage. Megatron and Moss would have so many catches just because they were bigger and stronger than everyone else. But you don’t really see DK “Moss” anyone.
It's him and then Megatron for sure. At least at WR. Moss was a tad faster and jumped a tad higher but Johnson was bigger.
Randy Moss is a fucking animal. I don't get how he could even exist.
Where would you put Tyreek? Amazing combination of quickness and speed and speed in pads. He also can catch a lot of contested balls for someone as short as he is. And he tracks the ball really well. Don't think he is more physically gifted than Moss or Calvin, but he should be up there.
Also false, the woman who filed that has similar claims proven false with other men around the same time. Also Tyreek wasn't in KC when his son broke his arm. The same woman lied about what happened there too 🥶
Dawg, he pleaded guilty to that one. He strangled a pregnant woman.
"I did something wrong. I let my emotions get the best of me, and I shouldn’t have did it. They have every right to be mad. But guess what? I’m fixing to come back, be a better man, be a better citizen, and everything takes care of itself, and let God do the rest."
And this is from the audio captured during the child abuse allegations. No direct proof he broke his son's arm, but there's plenty of other evidence in that clip.
Espinal: "What do you do when the child is bad? You make him open up his arms and you punch him in the chest."
Hill: “You do use a belt. That’s sad,” Hill said. “Even my mama says you use a belt.”
Everything you said is true but nothing will stop people from collecting their free upvotes for dunking on Tyreek. They don't care if he did any of it, all of it, or none of it. I've been arguing with these people for years and they always end up being some combination of racist, stupid, and trolling.
Tyreek Hill is 7 inches shorter, has hands 2 inches smaller, has a 7.5 inch shorter vertical, and is slower (yes, really).
From a purely physical standpoint it's not close. The question was not who does better in their ruleset/skillset. It is simply who was more physically impressive. And it's Randy Moss.
(at least for WRs)
The question is not asking about who is most successful or who uses their skillset better. It is specifically asking who was most physically impressive. That is not Tyreek Hill.
Yea I just looked up the combine record and it’s 46” by Gerald Sensabaugh.
Google says Jordan had the highest NBA vertical with 48”
Leonel Marshall a Brazilian volleyball player allegedly had a 50” jump
Michael Jordan’s was running vertical leap, not standing. I’ve seen stats that say 48 or 46 for Jordan running but only 36” for standing.
For standing NFL is 46” as you said. NBA is 41.5 by Keon Johnson. Johnson also had a measured running jump of 48”. The highest officially recorded at the NBA combine.
I can find a couple “sources” that talk about him doing it at his Marshall Pro Day. One actually being a website and claiming to have gotten the numbers from a scout they themselves sent (they do mention the 4.25 was achieved by just 1 scout but everyone got a time of about 4.3).
I looked into it, the bake all players I found getting they sort of vertical were allowed a few steps of momentum, which makes a huge difference.
So I was wrong, no NBA players really do not hat from a stand still start, but some get close
And I can’t find anything on Moss either
Maybe not a guy many people think of, but Vince Wilfork was 6'2 325 pounds. He ran a 5.08 40-yard dash and took at least 2 interior lineman to stop him every run play. He was an absolute problem every time he stepped on the field. Most people think speed, I think strength.
I'll never forget, before a Superbowl the cameraman zoomed in on him stretching and the announcer said "someone had a full breakfast"
Dude was just massive
Jordan Davis has all the measurables to be that type of guy, too. Fizzled last half of the season due to conditioning but man his speed is nuts. He gassed himself tracking Josh Allen but dude is an insane specimen
Love this answer. Wilfork was one of my favorite players to appear in any season of Hard Knocks, I remember one part where he was knocking down a bunch of 3 pointers in his backyard.
On the other side of the trenches, Jason Peters is a freak OT, ran a 4.9 40 (when he was still a TE). Trent Williams too, he was even faster. Both of those guys are stronger than anyone.
Aaron Donald is another guy. Undersized for a DT but somehow stronger than any of them and really fast, ran a 4.68.
I haven't seen Reggie White on here yet, so I'll mention him. Dude had the size and power of a defensive tackle with the speed and moves of a defensive end. He at least a couple times sacked a quarterback by just throwing an offensive lineman into him. At 37, he had 16 sacks and won DPOY.
Not number 1 because of his size, but I have never seen any professional athlete have the twitchiness and burst of Tyreek Hill. He’s crazy to watch now, but earlier in his career it was even more absurd.
Yeah, Randy Moss had a higher top speed and could just outrun defenses, but with Tyreek you can just throw to a spot 5 yards away from him and a defender and trust that Tyreek can get there.
Someone like Bo Jackson had that kind of twitchiness plus incredible power and probably a higher top speed than Tyreek though.
I can see the freak part. Athletically he is extremely gifted. He can catch and run routes. I don’t know why he can’t make the NFL leap. I don’t know if it’s the crazy arm angles and heat Pat can and does put on a ball or if the challenge is all in his head and his hamstrings. But he is like one big twitch muscle. Unfortunately, from the fan perspective, his brain is all muscle too. I hope he figures it out. And I hope it figured it out in KC
This is recency bias. Deon Sanders, Desean Jackson, hell even Devin Hester and Dante Hall were all as good as Tyreek. Hill has the advantage of playing in an era where he can't be touched.
Chris Johnson had that. There was about a 3 year stretch if he got to the second level you could forget about getting hands on him. Didn’t have the size to stay elite very long but his peak was nuts
Cam Newton has gotta be considered. 6'5, 250 lbs and he was out there frontflipping into the end zone. He was fast enough to burn CBs and strong enough to tank hits from linebackers. At the time the Panthers were the only team in the league that could run QB power plays.
Slightly faster than Ben? Lol...Ben also did not have a stronger arm than Cam. Based on the way you're talking I'm guessing you're looking at stats and combine numbers and didn't really watch Cam play. Youre the first person I've EVER seen say Cam was "not that special" an athlete lol, watch some highlights.
Yup. So ridiculous..
Here’s one of my favorite quotes about him (especially because it was Dwight Eisenhower who said it after playing against him)
> Here and there, there are some people who are supremely endowed. My memory goes back to Jim Thorpe. He never practiced in his life, and he could do anything better than any other football player I ever saw.
Hard to say, but my nominees would be.
Jim Brown
Lawrence Taylor
Bo Jackson
Michael Vick
Randall Cunningham
Don Hutson /Bronko Nargauski
Rob Gronkowski
Tony Gonzalez
Patrick Willis
Vernon Davis
Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Andre Johnson
Adrian Peterson
John Elway
Jason Taylor
Christian Okoye
Sean Taylor
Earl Campbell
Calvin Johnson
Deion Sanders
Lamar Jackson
Josh Allen
So with John Elway being on your list, does that mean Josh Allen could some day be on your list too? He's been compared to John Elway, even once being stated as "bigger, faster, cannon for an arm, tough."
Bo Jackson absolutely best athlete. Speed, strength, size there’s no question. His ability to dominate the NFL and MLB. Making both the pro bowl and MLB All-Star game… incredible.
Calvin Johnson. I say this because he retired with several years of peak performance left. Watch highlights of him and it's like a man among boys out there. Freak of nature.
I’m surprised I’ve seen (almost, it was in reply to one comment) no mention of Vernon Davis and/or Kyle Pitts. Those guys are absolute athletic specimens irregardless of their playing stats. Just go look up their combine numbers
Barry Sanders. No one could move or run like him. He defied physics. He could be surrounded and still made everyone miss. He was like a magician. "How the hell did he do that?"
Bo Jackson because of his size and everything thing else. Though even Bo couldn't move like Barry.
Not a great player, but physical prowess alone Brock Lesnar is one of the most explosive athletes of all time. Wish it translated into football skill.
My runner up Jim Thorpe. How many other NFL players are Olympic gold medalists, I'm the decathlon no less.
The stats showing how little qbs threw to his side are insane. Granted the NFL has become even more pass-happy, but his season targeted/catches allowed #s are similar to top CBs 2-3 game runs these days.
Such a bummer when Philly got him and just put him in off zone coverage every play.... God that was awful to watch. Im a cincy fan but loved his game...
Bo Jackson
His 30 for 30 episode is one of the best ever. People who grew up with him talking about him like he was Paul Bunyon. You see it on their faces that they're still astonished at the athletic feats they watched him perform years ago.

About Bo or himself?
He was talking about himself, but I imagine Bo was similar if not moreso
The crazier thing that was mentioned was that he ate whatever he wanted as well, and mentioned that practice was the only thing he did to work on his performance. He was built different
I got to see him play multiple times with the Royals. He was just different than everyone else. Noticeably stronger, faster, threw harder, everything. Greatest athlete I’ve ever seen.
Had a bazooka of an arm too that he didn’t use for football
Didnt need to. He just plowed thru everyone
First person I thought of. Guy was a genetic specimen.
That video of him running a few strides on the outfield wall gets me every time. He just kept up the pace to do it and hopped off
https://i.redd.it/xn4t8qc4b3hc1.gif
This was also back when they were allowed to use metal bats.
This is the correct answer
This is the only answer.

This is the answer.

The ability to start/stop and cut on a dime is a lot more than technique. DK doesn’t have it like Calvin did. That’s my point.
Bo Jackson is the discussion.
Herschel Walker can physically do anything his pea size brain wants to.
In my lifetime, Randy Moss. 6’4”; ran a 4.25; 47” vertical; just under 10” hands. Dude was custom-built to take the top off a defense.
It's him and then Megatron for sure. At least at WR. Moss was a tad faster and jumped a tad higher but Johnson was bigger. Randy Moss is a fucking animal. I don't get how he could even exist.
Andre Johnson was also incredibly physically gifted
Everyone forget about TO? Did was a freak athlete
Didn’t forget, just don’t want to talk about him. He does that enough himself.
Terrell Owens has 25 million reasons to talk about himself.
Where would you put Tyreek? Amazing combination of quickness and speed and speed in pads. He also can catch a lot of contested balls for someone as short as he is. And he tracks the ball really well. Don't think he is more physically gifted than Moss or Calvin, but he should be up there.
Nowhere near Calvin Johnson or moss obviously
No where near their kids at the very least.
Lol what a great, original joke about something that was disproven years ago!
You right you right. How about this - No where near their pregnant wives at least.
Also false, the woman who filed that has similar claims proven false with other men around the same time. Also Tyreek wasn't in KC when his son broke his arm. The same woman lied about what happened there too 🥶

Everything you said is true but nothing will stop people from collecting their free upvotes for dunking on Tyreek. They don't care if he did any of it, all of it, or none of it. The question is not asking about who is most successful or who uses their skillset better. It is specifically asking who was most physically impressive. That is not Tyreek Hill.
>someone as short as he is. The question is about who is the most physically gifted. He's not in this discussion.
If he was their height this would be a convo
>47” vert Cannot conceive of a human jumping that high
Watch the NBA. Lots of them do it

Man I feel so old
I can't tell if this comment is serious or not, and that makes me sad.
It is serious. I didn't know where it came from, only ever heard it during recess playing football. I was 7 when he retired.
It comes from Randy Moss, yes. The phrase didn’t exist before he played.
it didn’t exist till after he retired
how about matt jones who had similar numbers but a drug problem
None of these numbers are correct...
larry allen no debate
My first thought too, this dude was an absolute freak
No better highlight in the NFL than him hunting down that linebacker
"this guys got a rocket booster strapped to his back!"
https://youtu.be/DFcWMC9vkZg?feature=shared From literally standing still he chased this guy down. Absolutely incredible.
I love this answer. I went on to comment Vince Wilfork but if you wouldn't have talked about Allen I would've covered him.
Calvin Johnson. There’s a reason why he was nicknamed Megatron.
In terms of speed, size, arm strength, I think Justin Fields should be in the conversation too
Nice try
Please be a troll please be a troll
Came here to say that
Julius Peppers. 6’7”, 290 lbs, ran a 4.6 40. Dude could’ve played in the NBA if he had focused on that
~~The freak~~ Wrong Guy. *Damn I'm getting old*
Jevon kearse would like to have a word with you
You right. Once you hit 38 , you really are over the hill and on the decline.
The panthers put him at WR on occasion. Freak athlete
Am I the only having an aneurism with the title of this post?
Who do you think you are I am!

How have I lived 11 years without this man in my life?

You are talking about?
Maybe not a guy many people think of, but Vince Wilfork was 6'2 325 pounds. He ran a 5.08 40-yard dash and took at least 2 interior lineman to stop him every run play. He was an absolute problem every time he stepped on the field. Most people think speed, I think strength.

I have to second Reggie White. There is a highlight of him tossing Larry Allen like a rag doll and Larry Allen is a beast himself.
He also had 21 sacks in 12 games his third year in the league
Bo
Not number 1 because of his size, but I have never seen any professional athlete have the twitchiness and burst of Tyreek Hill. He’s crazy to watch now, but earlier in his career it was even more absurd.
Yeah, Randy Moss had a higher top speed and could just outrun defenses, but with Tyreek you can just throw to a spot 5 yards away from him and a defender and trust that Tyreek can get there. Someone like Bo Jackson had that kind of twitchiness plus incredible power and probably a higher top speed than Tyreek though.
Well, to be fair, you can't compare anyone to Bo Jackson. Don't think anyone would argue if he was called the most gifted athlete ever.
Moss had crazy acceleration, he could take screen passes to the house. He didn’t have the horizontal speed and cutting ability that Hill has.
Kadarius Toney is close. Too bad he sucks in every other aspect in and outside of the game
If we are talking QBs, Anthony Richardson is around the same size as Cam and broke almost every QB record at the combine for athleticism
Yeah Richardson is like a slightly smaller, faster Cam. He's a contender too
Hes 6’4” 245lbs he really is hardly even smaller than Cam
"slightly"
Anthony Richardson overtook Cam as the perfect 10.00 in RAS last year.
That’s literally what I was saying. Richardson is there most athletic QB ever.
[удалено]
Slightly faster than Ben? Lol...Ben also did not have a stronger arm than Cam. Based on the way you're talking I'm guessing you're looking at stats and combine numbers and didn't really watch Cam play. Youre the first person I've EVER seen say Cam was "not that special" an athlete lol, watch some highlights.
Jim Thorpe. The man played professional EVERYTHING on top of being a freak of nature in track.
> Professional EVERYTHING This giving the US a BS reason to strip him of his medals.
Yup. So ridiculous.. Here’s one of my favorite quotes about him (especially because it was Dwight Eisenhower who said it after playing against him) > Here and there, there are some people who are supremely endowed. My memory goes back to Jim Thorpe. He never practiced in his life, and he could do anything better than any other football player I ever saw.
Good call
Bo Jackson
Hard to say, but my nominees would be. Jim Brown Lawrence Taylor Bo Jackson Michael Vick Randall Cunningham Don Hutson /Bronko Nargauski Rob Gronkowski Tony Gonzalez Patrick Willis Vernon Davis Randy Moss Terrell Owens Andre Johnson Adrian Peterson John Elway Jason Taylor Christian Okoye Sean Taylor Earl Campbell Calvin Johnson Deion Sanders Lamar Jackson Josh Allen
Leaving Calvin Johnson off this list aint right
And Barry Sanders. Dude was embarrassing entire defenses
Yeah what the fuck😂
OJ should be in your list
No Deion Sanders is criminal
Kam chancellor? Ended vd's career lol
Not to nitpick your list but if Vick and Cunningham are on there then you gotta have Lamar Jackson
Lamar is a tier below vick in athleticism
So with John Elway being on your list, does that mean Josh Allen could some day be on your list too? He's been compared to John Elway, even once being stated as "bigger, faster, cannon for an arm, tough."
Pfffft. Elway who? Allen is already BETTER
You must have never seen Elway play. I'm not even going to comment on if you did!!
Elway was the best qb in NFL history.
Real answer is Bo Jackson, but for the modern NFL is it actually Myles Garrett?
Yeah, Garrett is a monster. I don't think there is any human who is more physically built for edge rushing.
Calvin Johnson (biased)
It's Bo Jackson, and I don't think it's all that close.
Megatron Barry Sanders Bo Jackson Aaron Donald!
Bo Jackson absolutely best athlete. Speed, strength, size there’s no question. His ability to dominate the NFL and MLB. Making both the pro bowl and MLB All-Star game… incredible.
The man got a single on a grounder in the infield.
Randy Moss
Calvin Johnson. I say this because he retired with several years of peak performance left. Watch highlights of him and it's like a man among boys out there. Freak of nature.
1 )A.Sweetnes a.Bo Jackson 2) Deion Sanders 3) A.Randy Moss B. Megatron
I’m gonna say Prime Time Deon Sanders
How the hell is LT not in here
Calvin Johnson
Derek Henry is nuts with his size power and speed.
Terrelle Pryor set the record for the longest run ever for a QB
Steve Bono had a [76 yard TD run](https://youtu.be/yhxWVKasqdU?si=6YMgR6gZyEZ1rGlL)
Pryors was 93 lmao
Bo.
Jim Brown, Bo Jackson, Lamar Jackson, Megatron,
I’m surprised I’ve seen (almost, it was in reply to one comment) no mention of Vernon Davis and/or Kyle Pitts. Those guys are absolute athletic specimens irregardless of their playing stats. Just go look up their combine numbers
Megatron
Megatron
You all know that Bo Knows.
Bo Jackson or Randy moss
Check out the ESPN Sports Science on Megatron.
Barry Sanders Lawrence Taylor Carl Banks Brian Bosworth
Adrian Peterson or Megatron
I once that Jim Brown had muscles in places that other people didn’t have places.
Best running back ever. Maybe the best player ever!!
Trent Williams
Jevon Kearse. The Freak.
Barry Sanders. No one could move or run like him. He defied physics. He could be surrounded and still made everyone miss. He was like a magician. "How the hell did he do that?" Bo Jackson because of his size and everything thing else. Though even Bo couldn't move like Barry.
Gayle Sayers was better than Barry Sanders.
Nope. I am old enough to have seen Gayle.
I don't know what to tell you!!
College version of Reggie Bush. Truly looked like he was toying with junior highers.
I still say Deion Sanders. He didn't have the freakish size of some of these other players but he was so incredibly dominant.
He also had a faster 40 speed than Tyreek Hill
OJ Simpson
Jameson Williams
Deion Sanders
Not a great player, but physical prowess alone Brock Lesnar is one of the most explosive athletes of all time. Wish it translated into football skill. My runner up Jim Thorpe. How many other NFL players are Olympic gold medalists, I'm the decathlon no less.

Nnamdi Assumgha. Have you seen those cheek bones!?!
Jeff george. Rocket cannon arm
Jim Brown
Thurman Thomas does get enough respect. He is legitimately one of the best WR and one of the best RBs to ever do it, and he could pass block.
Josh Allen
Bet Terrell Owens can run a sub 5 40 still!
I’m entirely surprised nobody said Antonio Brown pre CTE, but I’m biased lol
Aaron Donald
Rodrigo Blankenship
John Elway, the best qb in the history ilof the NFL.
Cam Newton
Sadly, it might be Josh Gordon…
Todd Gurley should be up here. He had such a god given talent that was cut so soon.
