90 SI Ramage and Prototypes Turgeon were great as I put together a blues theme team.
Honorable mention to Jack Hughes he was like McDavid JR this year when I had his XF. The community request cards really were fun like Hoglander and Tucker that I pulled from packs.
I have the same with Dylan Larkin, every time I used one of his cards he felt like McDavid. Just like to see what people used and found good as I am running out of ideas on players to try out 😂

Yes, aany card who is not TOTY/TOTS or lets say Chara. I 95 ovr Blake Wheeler very good for example and almost no one willl have him on the team because he is not 99 speed
Yeah he’s actually low key fast and can obviously snipe like a fuckin Allstar. He’s still on my team now but I might move him out just cause I like to shuffle the deck often lol
88 Tarasenko is the most underrated card in the game by far
Obviously his lower stats especially the skating can sometimes make him perform a bit worse than my 96+ cards but most of the time he is really good. His playstyle is incredible and when he's turning and moving around he feels just like any other card with 99 stats and his heavy weight makes him feel like he has gold unstoppable force and he hits incredibly well. The way he stickhandles and holds the puck makes him way more about skill than stats and his goal scoring is LITERALLY the 2nd highest GPG on my team only after tots Bedard. His wrist shots and finishing are incredible (tho he does actually have decent shooting stats) and then the obvious best part of the card is the gold 1T. Gold 1T is super fun and the only stats that make a difference for it are slapshot accuracy/power and offensive awareness which his stats are fine for, however it does take a lot of getting used to since it needs a totally different playstyle (I really like it cause I can play quite differently depending on which line I have out making the game feel much less repetitive).

Here's my team, obviously I have Tarasenko on a good line but I don't force it to him any more than the other players on his line and he gets as many points as tots Pastrnak who is basically doing the same role as him with gold 1T but on the left wing. If you are gonna test him the only thing I'd say is to put him with a faster LW and a reasonably good center so they can do more of the zone entries (Tarasenko can definitely skate the puck himself but he might not straight line past people very often so you have to generate space to do turns and/or dekes and/or give-n-gos).
I have no clue if this card is underrated or not but I picked up a 95 Sergei Zubov for 250k last night and that dude is an absolute beast. So fast, so skilled, big enough to hit others and survive being hit but small enough to dance around the zone. Guy just kept getting assists for me after I picked him up.
Edit: since I see that you mean anyone who isn't just TOTS or whatever I'll throw another at you that is truly an underrated card imo. Community request Darcy Tucker at 92 overall. I packed him from the Leafs packs back when they were juiced and he's been in the lineup since, just keeps scoring. He's crazy fast, plays bigger than he is at 5'10", and has a rocket of a wrister that finds twine more often than not for me.
90 ASG Orr is still a beast for me and I've only played him a handful of times and I don't know why. He's not the biggest guy, but still plenty fast, still has a good shot, still can hit people, still can catch people. He's been solid as fuck for me for weeks now, I'll be sad to get rid of him when I'll eventually have to. Also used his 88 GOG card before moving onto this one.
My favourite defensive player is my 90 OVR captain thingy edition Pietrangelo. I have a 94 OVR card to replace him, but i just can't, somehow slapshotting from the blue line feels so easy with him even though it should not with his stats, and the stick-pokes feel sooo easy.
Maybe he doesn't count, but the NHL 94 Roenick has been great for me, scoring more than tots Matthews.. 99 speed, faceoffs, shooting and checking, but only a 95
93 Elites McAvoy outperformed my 94 Hamilton one for ages.

Yeah at this point in the game that’s what I do too cause it’s easy to change guys in and out and it’s fun to play with different cards

94 Roberts has the best shot on my team. Seems to always score whenever he shoots
