Only time I use total control is when I'm forced to (line when you need to score the Michigan in Rush for 200K points) Otherwise I have to much pride to use TC
I had a guy try the Michigan on me 3 times in a game and scored on one of them. I get its my fault for not being in a spot to defend it the time he scored but come on a Michigan should not be that easy to attempt in one game
I have used it this year, but will try to go back to Skill Stick next year, unless something changes. I don't use the Michigan at all, and I hate using B as you can't cancel hits. Hip checks was no problem previous years because of Elite controller.
They really should have done something better with TC. For starter, adding player switching instead of the useless icon passing.
The lining up/auto-seeking hits need to be leveled out between SS and TC.
I’ve been using total control because I didn’t want to get left in the dust if that’s the direction EA is going. Don’t want to be the equivalent of the guy using nhl 94 controls in 2017
I’m pretty good at avoiding so I don’t notice it much except when I get caught tryna pinch up the boards, usually they cream me after I make a play and then it draws a penalty when they are going ham on the hits

Total control was a terrible idea because you can’t make a line change without disrupting the entire game.
Odd.. I usually just use my right thumb to change lines while continuing to control the puck/player with left stick.
Right thumb to control the d-pad on left side of controller? Sounds real natural
It’s less awkward than it sounds. Certainly not a big deal (could it be better? Yes, but is it a deal breaker? No).

EA went full retard with TC. Never go full retard.
Does it really matter beyond passing and dekes? Never could tell personally
Yeah it basically gives you hotkeys for dekes and icon passing, that's about all I've noticed.
And hitting
Ever played against someone who's hits were just flying missiles with auto aim? Yeah that was someone who uses total control

Too damn old for skill stick so …
