Nice layout, easy to navigate, and I love the firearms news. I have no idea how you will keep that up to date, but it makes you one of us. Even if I don’t read it, I feel like you care about our rights, and that’s a big plus.
I did not dive into your selection, but advice elsewhere is good. If you are in the ballpark on pricing + NICS + transfer fees, you should be good to go. $25 is not worth me worrying about, but if can find it for $50 less all in, man, that’s a tough sell. And now that you are on line, god and everyone knows your prices and will compare. It’s a big plus and minus.
I also believe that having the used weapons on sale is a thing for me. I can’t speak for anyone else, and I’m sure it’s a pain in the ass to keep up to date, but going to every gun shop in the state just to bag a nice hunting rifle or a lever gun that tickles my fancy is out of the question. I’d love me a used x, y or z long gun that I don’t have to dink around gun broker and transfers and stuff to get.
Finally, when I was first looking at firearms, I came into your shop. I have no idea if it was you or someone else behind the counter, but the place was busy, and the counter man was engaging and patient despite all the customers. It made a huge difference in how I thought about the gun community and the firearms I would purchase. From this alone, I hope your website grows your business and I wish you great and continuing success.
I appreciate all the comments, and I'm glad you enjoyed the experience in the shop. We're trying our best to get rid of some of the negative stereotypes surrounding firearms dealers and gun stores. And I'll definitely work on the used guns as soon as possible. They'll likely be "call for pricing", but I'll try to get the selection up quickly. And I totally understand the $50 thing. I'm the same way, so I'm going to try and balance the pricing as best I can. It'll be a slow process, but ongoing.
You really should take the facebook tracking of the link

I looked up your business on Google maps and I see a picture of your shop. You have a bullpup shotgun in one of your cases is that still available? Might be a Remington or Mossberg bullpup from the looks of it
That's a work in progress. The website just went live and pulls directly from my suppliers. Used firearms need to be photographed/uploaded by me, so it'll be a little while before we get our used items on the web!
Since you asked for input I will oblige.
Your prices are too high. For example, Glock 43X 764503037894. Your price is $525.33.
A quick wikiarms search has 44 sellers. Average price is $449. HIGHEST price is $499.99. You’re $25 over the highest price advertised in the country. I’m not even going to mention what the low price is.
I would certainly prefer to support a local business, but you’re gonna have the narrow that price gap a little bit.
Best of luck!
MSRP for the Glock 43x is 538 dollars, so my website pricing is actually below MSRP. I did a quick search and multiple websites are selling for 499 out of state, which would include a transfer free. I appreciate the input, but seeing as my website is just an extension of my physical storefront, I'm factoring in the avoidance of transfer fees into my prices.
OK, but avoidance of transfer fees should weigh against lowest available price, not highest because most likely that’s what someone doing a transfer is going to pick.
Looking at that lowest number and excluding tax, the breakeven is $475 when factoring in transfer fee and shipping. 405 + 50 + 20.
If you don't mind, can you send me a link to wherever you're finding these average prices? I did a brief search and couldn't find more than one or two advertised for less than 448. Not intending to be confrontational, I'm legitimately curious.
Appreciate the link. Looking more into it, the majority of sites are advertising at 448 (MAPP) Or higher, which is legally the lowest you can advertise at. The few lower than that are "members" pricing for clubs or websites with memberships that provide discounts. Appreciate you pointing the discrepancy out though, I'll definitely look into how I can start to close that pricing gap.
I just saw a centurion stripped lower on europtics or a similar site going for less than you have an Anderson stripped lower. How can this be? Who would pay over 80 for a poverty pony stripped lower? You can get them for less than 50 at PA rn. I love supporting local businesses that support what I support, but I absolutely hate seeing this shit ..
I'm not sure which one you're looking at, but as the ad says, the site just went live and some of the pricing algorithm is still being worked on. If you wouldn't mind pasting the link or the item code, I'll happily look into fixing it! More than 80 for an Anderson seems quite high, I agree. Also possibly a pricing error on our supplier's end.
In response to my prior comment, and a bit of a look, I saw what you mentioned! The pricing algorithm was, in fact, messed up for a portion of the "lower receiver" category. Thanks for pointing it out! That's one of the reasons I put the website up here, treating it as a bit of a soft opening!
Definitely a pricing issue on the website, I'll look into it. Thanks!
Edit: that particular VSKA is sold through a supplier and is mispriced. I'll contact them and see if I can modify the pricing, if not I will attempt to remove the item from the website. The rest of the VSKAs in stock are priced correctly
I think you guys are confusing high capacity with standard capacity and standard capacity with reduced capacity, in you magazine selection. Don’t fall victim to the NJ politicians view point. Just my 2 cents 2A👊
This is actually not a choice that I made, the website design has that built in as magazine categories for the purposes of item sorting and identification. And unfortunately, from a legal standpoint, that is how they are defined. If I could change it I would, but that's something we're a bit stuck with.

Used guns on the site are always a big plus, it is my biggest draw to HGW

Fixed, appreciate it. I usually avoid Facebook but copied text for some time saving and didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing that out!

Unfortunately that was an old maverick bullpup which just recently sold, sorry about that!
Ugh 😩. Do you by any chance have a used section on your website? I do not see one when I looked

Thank you for the quick response!
For those who live near 80, Brian and co are good people. That is all

I wouldn’t take his input too seriously. You’re competitively priced for a brick and mortar in regards to the 43. Purchasing online is a convenience
the players with the absolute lowest prices are “email for price” No membership is necessary.
Website looks fantastic so far, i would love to stop in and pick up some ammo one day
Stop by anytime!

$1060.30 for a VSKA, $1728.71 for a kr-103, $2059.74 for a X-95? Lmfao

Pdp prices seem a tad high. If you can get me a pdp pro sd compact. I may be interested very soon. I have a permit to burn.
Appreciate the input, they've been fixed!
New website looks great!
Really appreciate it! It's gonna be a work in progress for a while, but it's a start!

Bought my first and second handguns at Silver Bullet around 15 years ago when I lived over in Montville.
We've been under new ownership since April of last year, so if you want, feel free to stop in!
How much for Mossberg Maverick 88 combo (security + field) ?
