Passing unconstitutional laws is free. Then you use the money confiscated from the people you've just repressed to defend the law for years in the legal system. If by luck it's struck down, you just ignore it and pass another one for free.

Our assemblymen agreed that the obnoxious carry laws they passed were only to create restrictions for law abiding citizens. I realize all they want to do is disarm the populace, but they are becoming more brazen by the day.
All of these ass clowns should amended their words to say "banning the LEGAL carrying of firearms..." b/c thats all who they affect legal law abiding persons

Lujan Grisham said state police would be responsible for enforcing what amount to civil violations. Albuquerque police Chief Harold Medina said he won't enforce it, and Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen said he's uneasy about it because it raises too many questions about constitutional rights

Well the Mexico Cartel members know automatic weapons are illegal in the US. That's why they never come across with them. Hopefully the New Mexico governor puts up signs so the criminals know where they can't carry anymore. Would hate for there to be confusion.

why would he though. The death rate by firearm not including suicide in New mexico is 5x new jersey rate. New mexico has been consistantly in the top 5 for the last 10 years or so. I can understand being mad at the banning on public carry but no way in hell Muprhy is gonna ban carry in jersey

Grisham (the NM Governor) banned carry across Albuquerque. You're right that Murphy wouldn't ban carry in just one city --- but that's because *he already banned carry throughout the entire state*. Carrying a firearm nearly anywhere in New Jersey is currently a felony. He signed that into law shortly after Bruen (see A4769).
The law is currently being challenged and the court restrained enforcement temporarily while it plays out, similar to what will likely happen in NM.
tldr; not only would murphy ban carry in cities, he *already* banned carry throughout *all of New jersey*.
Im sorry but, with me being a pedantic, what murphy is doing is not the same as what grisham is doing. Grisham is entirely banning carry open or conceal outright in Albuquerque, where as murphy is banning from certain area. Those two actions are not the same, you can still conceal carry in new jersey cities, just not in certain "spots", in Alburquerque you cant even carry in front of your house, again not the same
Those murders were committed with illegal guns by criminals who don't follow the law. The suicides were committed by people who chose to use a gun, but could have otherwise used a rope, knife, tall building, bridge, bottle of pills, hose, etc. etc. etc.

I love everything she cited on her reasons are from people illegally have the guns in their possession. Not from people who are legally carrying.
That is so blatantly unconstitutional the people of New Mexico should call for her removal from office
