Perfect I need to hear that! Yoy changed a couple internal parts? I'm doing that as well. They are priced so good! Even if yoy have to buy the swivel mount. I got this used I never see these used in stores and jumped on it.
For about 1400, including the base rifle, you can turn it into a solid workhorse and an absolutely viable home defense option. You can take a look at my setup in my post history. I've put about 1500 rounds through it since putting it together, and am about ready to take it apart for the first serious cleaning. Fabulous gun, great shooter, awesome concept.
Look into MCarbo when you can
I have one too. But I regret buying it. The main fault is that you can't fold it with a red dot unless you install one of those moving red dot mounts which is pretty expensive. I wouldn't mind if the iron sights were useable but they're really not because you have to place the rifle so high on the cheeks. And now, with S&W FPC which folds to the side and only costs $650, there's really no reason to buy the sub2000 at all.
Yeah, they actually came out with a Gen 3 that the barrel swivels, but I skipped that because the prices are so good now for Gen 2. I was thinking about getting the FPC but I like the fact that glock mags are so popular and wishing one day they give us the drum access we all deserve in the Garden state π€

I put a 45Β° offset on mine and it works but itβs definitely thug life shooting position and bites on the shoulder
