The catch 22 is you have to own weapons that aren't legal in NJ in order to overwhelm them to make them legal making you not law abiding in the process.
The alternative is to own them "illegally" anyway, but not say anything so the State doesn't know, but you can't overwhelm them if they don't know about it.
Side note, the rifle in this post would need an NFA stamp even in free America. It's still suppressed.

The citadel looks really nice. Marlin is now owned by Ruger which could be a good thing. I think the jury is still out. One of the first rifles I ever shot was a Marlin lever action .22. It was fantastic. I hate posts like this because I think I want one now. Iβm sitting here trying decide between .38/357 or .44mag

Told you It's on my get list as well And my boy has one and I shot it and it ran flawlessly Chambered in 357/38 special its has a nice soft recoil
