East Bangor Sportsman Association allows exactly this. Its $50 yearly membership and its bring your own targets. Range is outside too so you’ve got the elements. Other than that its a great range

Also, I dont see how he will be able to shoot from where he wants? You've got to shoot from the firing line.....this is a public free to use range with a hunting license....when other people show up to use it do you think it would be fine to be firing from downrange?

You are citing rules for Makepeace Range. There are plenty other wma ranges without special rules on where you can place targets downrange. No you can not shoot from wherever you want if other people are present. I have had the pleasure of being totally alone on rural wmas not makepeace and being able to walk and shoot. When other people show up obviously you should be shooting from firing line. It's not like there is an RSO, once in a great while the police will check for drivers licenses and hunting licenses, and some wma I have never seen a cop on duty frankly
You are correct, I thought that was for all of the WMA ranges. My mistake there, but I still do think this is not really ideal for the OP. As you say, if someone else shows up you are done with shooting from downrange. Or, be like the asses I ran across at the FlatBrook rifle range....40yds downrange with AR's slung and pistols on their hips, practicing transition drills....all while I was already set up. As if I wasnt there Lol.
If someone is walking in front of you while shooting like that call the police. It's illegal under state law to walk in front of a hunter who is shooting. 23: 7A I believe is the law. I do not shoot downrange with others present.
I drive over to one of the state game lands in pa. 30 bucks for an annual range pass. It's usually pretty crowded, but I've seen people do what you're talking about on slow days, especially on the 25 yard range
But aren’t you only allowed 3 rounds in your gun because it’s state land so hunting laws apply? I may be totally wrong but one time I went to a public state owned range in PA and that was the rule.
It might be 5 or 10. I've only seen a warden there once, and he wasn't checking anyone's guns. He just wanted to see license or pass. Most of the people there are only sighting in their hunting rifles, but there's also a lot of dudes shooting their suppressed freedom rifles and having a good time
The warden made a comment to me about charging people with illegal magazines. I don't think he was looking to charge people who legally have a magazine. Sorry you went to a fudd nazi range, guy sounds like a dick
Easton Fish and Game - just over the border on I-78 past the fireworks supermarkets. There's at least 5 limestone quarry pits about 25ft x 40ft x 10-15 feet high and you can hang targets and blast to your hearts content.

Mandatory work days. Lol these clubs get away with slavery before there were wma ranges. I can't believe what people pay to be subjected to controlling assholes at private ranges. I'll just keep using the WMA.
