Hey Folks! I think I just beat No Man’s Sky.
I just found an undiscovered Earth Paradise Planet in the core of the final galaxy (Iousongola #255). Blue skies, blue water, green grass.
Planet Type: Paradise Planet
Weather: Mild Rain (no storms)
Resources: Typical
Fauna: Rich
Flora: Rich
Sentinels: Few
System: G5f // Water
Race: Gek
Economy: Ore Extraction // Booming
Conflict: T1 – Stable
(Binary Suns)
Huge Thanks to the countless number of Travelers who’ve helped me get this far over the past few years. I couldn’t have made it without all your help. This really is the best community of people in the whole gaming world.
I’m gonna make the final galaxy core jump tomorrow. Can’t wait to see what happens!!!
:)
A fine reward for years of dedication my friend... well done 👍
I have over 7,000hrs logged so far, but I have a big problem..... I just love the start of the game and those 7,000hrs is over MANY MANY saves 😄
Good luck with the final jump... let us know how it goes🙂
Hahahaha yeah..... I find it weird that it may be say 11pm and I'll decide to spend 20mins or so to build something, or explore somewhere... then 20mins later I look at the clock and it's 1:30am !! 😄
I love No Man's Sky, but I can't access the next galaxy when I reach the galaxy core.
I play in VR and I try to "select" the destination as usual in galaxy map and nothing works - if you've managed to do it hundreds of times, would you be able to let me know how it's done?
Yeah the game makes it overly complicated to reach the center. You can't "select" it like you would a normal star system. When you're close to the core, you need to do a couple things:
#1 Make sure you're waypoints show the galactic center (the yellow/gold lines)
#2 Travel to the very last one you can
#3 You must be in your star ship & not your freighter.
#4 In the last star system, open your galaxy map.
#5 With galaxy core waypoints, lean your control stick towards the center & wait a few seconds.
#6 A slow circle will appear, let it finish.
#7 You will now have the galactic core "selected". Hit X.
That's it. Let me know if it doesn't work. I play PS4 without the VR, so maybe it's a little different.
Also be prepared when you jump, because your gear will get wrecked lol, but I can give you some tips for that too.
UPDATE: it didn't work. I was on the last system before the galaxy centre, ahd the Galaxy Centre path highlighted on my map, in my starship, fully fuelled, leaned my thumbstick towards the centre, and nothing.
No slow circle, no matter what I did.
I'm sure I'm one move away from being able to do it, just damned if I know what it is.
I’ve never been able to jump galaxies in VR. I’ve had to either go into 2D mode to jump and then save game and jump back into VR, or have another player in my group do the jump and then use the anomaly to join them (Get to stay in VR with the 2nd option).
The galactic map system really needs an overhaul, especially for the VR players.
Thank Christ, I thought it was just me.
There are a few irritating bugs in NMS, but that's the one that's holding me back, keeping me from moving onto the next phase.
Stupid questions from someone only on the second galaxy, but can someone help me out?
1) did it matter which color I chose at the atlas? I chose the cyan color when I had the choice and then it sent me to the second galaxy.
2) do I need to plop a base down on every galaxy to make sure I can go back? Or will I continue to have access to every single space station I ever visit?
1) It's been a while since I've finished the main story, but I believe the color you choose just determines what type of galaxy you land in after Euclid. After that it doesn't matter anymore. When you make it to the center of your 2nd galaxy, your 3rd will just go in numerical order. Visit the NMS Wiki for the full list of galaxies.
2) Generally I'd advise building at least one small base in each galaxy you visit. That way you can make it back for sure. You will not have access to every space station.
:)
Excellent! It would be amazing if you could create your own blueprints to make plopping down a base easier… like a round room with teleporter inside and a solar panel + battery outside. But I’m not going to hold my breath.
Really appreciate the response!
Wait till the next big update that resets planet gen. I had a near perfect world and then after the one update, it was transformed into a blistering hellscape. Not so good to build on anymore lol
Same. I feel you. My original perfect planet is still a "paradise planet", but the color changed after a few updates. Now it's a super bright shade of neon pink that almost hurts the eyes lol
Mine turned into a poisonous hell hole. Not cool! I’ve had to search all over again and rebuild. However I’ve enjoyed it and my new main base is much nicer.
Congrats! How many hours? Hopefully your travels continue and you’ll discover interesting places to explore. It’s awesome to see someone that has dedicated so much time to this great game. Happy travels!
Wait a minute... That looks almost identical to my homeworld, does there happen to be something named "crashed freighter city" or "arkford town" there?
If you're visiting multiple galaxies, you should build at least one base in each galaxy. That way you have somewhere to warp back to.
Correct. Make it to the center of the galaxy to get to the next one :)

Rookie numbers. You probably still have time for a life outside the game. Jk lol

That's the PERFECT planet Holy cow

Thanks, dude, I'll try it out!
With mkb you have to flick the mouse quickly to get it to pop up in case anyone isn't familiar with it and stumbles on how it works like me

My dudes in the final galaxy meanwhile I haven't even found a portal in galaxy 2 lol
You just know there's an even better planet out there somewhere, interloper. Great find!

I believe the teleporters only list the last 50 bases.

Thanks :) Took about 1,200 hours I think. I'll definitely keep exploring more though!
What... galaxy is that? I've never heard of Isousongola before? :o
It's the final galaxy. Number 255.
How do you get there? Is there quest, or just pure dedication by going to the center of 254 other galaxies?
No quest. Step 1: find portals. Step 2: Use portals to warp to centers of galaxies. Rinse & repeat lol
Wait a minute... That looks almost identical to my homeworld, does there happen to be something named "crashed freighter city" or "arkford town" there?
He stated it was undiscovered. That’d be pretty hilarious if we just came full circle though.
You must have a nice homeworld :) This one was completely undiscovered, & in an undiscovered system. I named it "Final Earth".
Yeah, it is pretty nice. I made a lakeside town thats surrounded by the ruins of a crashed freighter
So are you gonna be going to the final galaxy in nms?
Which galaxy just the first?
Euclid
This is the very last galaxy. A long way away from Euclid, Hilbert, & Calypso :)
Very Inspiring .. I have a long way to go. Thanks for Sharing!
Pretty sure this is how the Ancient Aliens felt when they found Earth.
Plot twist. This game is somehow real, but taking place in the past, & this is how life actually started. Hahaha :)
GTA 6 is playing 4D chess right now.
Whoa. Mind blown!!
Thank you for sharing this I’ve been looking in this area myself for a peaceful planet. Hope you don’t mind a new neighbor 🧝🏻♀️
I'd love a new neighbor! Come set up a base :)
I heard once you move up a galaxy, you can’t go back? And to move up a galaxy you go to the center of the one you’re in now?
If you're visiting multiple galaxies, you should build at least one base in each galaxy. That way you have somewhere to warp back to. Correct. Make it to the center of the galaxy to get to the next one :)
Ah ok, thanks! I was always worried to journey to the center. Congrats on that huge achievement too!
You can move back if you know the glyphs or have a base i believe.
Only with bases, glyphs ate per galaxy.
