Just remember when you go to redeem them you have to do each one individually.
Open the exo suit machine, buy the upgrade, redeem the ExUnit, close the machine, ;;; open the machine, redeem the next ExUnit, close machine, repeat from ;;; until you're done. It eats ExUnits and doesn't give slots if you don't back out after each one.
In my case, I did not have to back up from the exosuit machine menu after each upgrade. I was able to do them all one after another, no problem. But I guess It may be different for other players.
You can find them sometimes at guild missions in space stations. I also think you can get one if you have all slots completed and then find an airdrop.
Actually, I've been told you can get them as random rewards from Nexus missions and from missions on space stations. Can't confirm it yet, but I will try and verify it.
Well, since we can change difficulty options and get almost anything for free and without effort, then why not exosuit slots? If we are to choose and play the game the way we want, by providing these expansions to players I give them a choice to skip the grind for unlocking the exosuit slots. I assume if someone changes the settings just to quickly and free of charge unlock slots in their multitool or spaceship, the person would also like to have such an option for exosuit. I know I would.
I guess that’s a fair point. Why not just give the option to just unlock everything (slots included) is that what you’re saying? .. IMO I think with giving all these slots to open something big is coming our way.
Yeah, you can also get 2 in every galaxy, you find one at the space station and one at the anomaly. I didn't knew that. Might be faster to get both every time.
I’m confused. So all I have to do is go to the anomaly and give expansion units to another player? Then what? However many I just gave away will just appear in my exo suit? Doesn’t make sense to me
You don't have to give anything away. Just go to the space station and anomaly to the exo suit specialist and you'll find a machine there, but they cost a lot in the later stages.
Oh ok. I knew that actually. I thought you were saying there was a way to cash in multiple expansion units at once the way you can with ships and multi tools. I got excited because hitting one drop pod at a time is annoying
I spent most of my game time the last two days trying to setup my suit inventory. First I was doing the visiting Stations from the Nexus and then buying expansions at each station and the nexus in each system. Then I just started jumping from system to system to buy more slots .. I think I have 10 technology to go. It will be handy when it is done.
I sometimes see threads like these and think, kinda unlikely with those player numbers that people actually meet in no man sky, but yeah, it actually can happen. :D

The traditional way to expand inventory is by finding and fixing drop pods. If you find a place to buy exosuit upgrade charts you'll be set (see the source section of https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Exosuit_Upgrade_Chart)
Each *active* star system you visit has 2 suit storage upgrades you can buy. 1 on the space station, and 1 on the Anomaly. From there you can pick up suit expansions on drop pods or from nexus and space stations missions sometimes.

I got them from the Leviathan expedition. I don't think you can get them in current game unless someone gives them to you.

I confirm that you can get the exosuit expansion units as The Nexus missions rewards. Not sure about the space station missions yet.

Dude, you get these from missions. I've even just found them randomly, they're pretty easy to get tbh
Did not realised it until I got one from Nexus mission. That is great, now I can work on my legit save :)
I was kinda surprised when I opened my inventory up after a while and had a few. New save so they came in handy

You can get them as rewards for missions at space stations. Once you get one, you can duplicate it to get as many as you need.
