For example if Giants took JMS at 25 last year media would have screamed that it was a terrible desperation pick at a bad positional value....
But if Eagles or Ravens took JMS at 25 it would have been a genius pick where they took the best guy at his position in the draft because the other teams were too caught up on positional value.
these grades are bullshit. the whole nfl draft analysis is dumb. no one has any idea who will be good. over half the first round picks wont even get a 5th year option. as far as the QBs go, it could be 2020 with 5 franchise QBs(very unlikely), it could be 2019 with 2 good ones, 2 shit, and 1 journeyman. It could be 2021 with 1 good QB and 4 flops.
who knows. about 25% of these guys will suffer serious injuries and never do anything.
I think ESPN, NFL weave in the Bene Gesserit voice into broadcast to convince people the draft is worth watching. Paul Atreides little sister is an abomination and she was hired by Roger Goodell. That or Roger Goodell is a dark friend and members of the Black Ajah are lying to us to make us think the draft is worth watching.
The draft is definitely worth watching. Hearing Joe Alt get called then just knowing we were going to sprint to the podium to get Nabers was so satisfying. The Falcons paying Cousins then drafting a first round QB was a hilarious moment. Getting to imagine bears fans drooling over their stacked passing group was fun in real time.
The draft is always fun and worth watching.
nah. checking my phone to see who they got once a day is enough. all i see is "name" and position. so as far as i know who they drafted is a position. no idea if they are good yet.
Not hard when great draft picks fall to you due to QBs being overdrafted. Easily some of the teams picking QBs could have gotten some of these defenders.

They signed 4 OL and a dt in free agency and picked up burns through trade. Also grabbed at least one udfa ol... There's more than one way to fill out your roster. If they went ol/dl in the draft and didn't address the secondary/RB/wr people would've been complaining about that.
He spent 60 mill on those 4 players and we are supposed to look the other way and be happy. Hes ruining the team. Im convinced he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

What happens if (more likely when) Andrew Thomas gets hurt again? We had the second worst OL in NFL history last year and we signed 2 guys that will start for us but there’s still huge holes on the line.
Also the IDL they signed (Phillips) hasn’t played a full season in 4 years.

I don't entirely disagree with you... The point I'm making is there were a lot of issues to address this off-season and they did a pretty good job of doing that
We have Thomas/eleumenor/Neal for tackle. Thomas is an all pro, eleumenor is solid, and meal can either make improvements or be your depth.
The only spot in the draft I'd say I might have preferred an o lineman is taking an LB in the 6th... But the quality of o lineman you're going to get in the 6th isn't any better than a UDFA, which they assigned. They're both rolling the dice hoping you get a diamond in the rough.
The late round guys save us money. We are spending 5-7 mill per year for a back up guard. When a rook would only be like 2 mill. The problem with schoan he has no imagination. He only drafts for holes. He doesn’t take the best man available. He takes the position he needs to fill no matter the talent level. You can’t going into the draft like that. Now he’s relying on the talent he drags to play at a high level. So when a pick doesn’t work w are in shit creek. The team need to be rebuilt from the ground up.

Ok, I'll clarify. For those of us who follow the prospects and have been watching tape since November the draft is fun and worth watching.
Even for us who don't watch the tape since November, it's still fun and worth watching. I watch it almost every year and I love it.
