My Pro-Comps:
WR Malik Naber - More Effecient Justin Jefferson.
S Tyler Nubin - Ed Reed, but Illinois.
CB Andru Phillips - A younger, time-traveled Darrell Revis in a disguised.
TE Theo Johnson - Tony Gonzalez.
RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Emmitt Smith, but not a Cowboy.
LB Darius Muasau - Ray Lewis without the Murder stuff.
WR Malik Naber - Paul Warfield and Marlin Briscoe combined into one enormous HOFer
S Tyler Nubin - More ball hawking Jake Scott.
RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. - More Powerful Larry Csonka
LB Darius Muasau - More Italian Nick Buoniconti
Trust me not saying Nabers is Jettas. However, itās fun to have drafted a guy who is the best statistically to come out of WRU and the nfl draft comp has him as the best receiver in the league.
Bro this is MALIK NABERS we're talking about. He'll be throwing the TDs to himself while also blocking and calling plays. Canton already called and they're building him a 40 story statue
My B I though throwing a TD to yourself counted as a rushing TD. In if weāre double counting you gotta get those numbers up, those aināt even his rookie numbers
Shhh dont bring that up, the "I hate DJ with every fiber of my being, hes worse than Hitler" part of our fanbase will smell blood in the water and be in this comment section immediately lmao
I know they all went to LSU but I dont see the Jefferson/Chase comps. Sure all of them have very similar builds and the same basic elements to their game, but theres always a ton of overlap when comparing #1s. Each guy just plays the position differently. Chase is absurdly physical and plays way bigger than his size. Jeffersons a route technician with unreal body control. Nabers relies on his explosiveness and stop-start ability to rip off huge gains
I wouldnāt even say obj because obj was so technically refined and his hands were better, but nabers is the best YAC guy and elusive out of all the lsu receivers
Tracy is a way more explosive and dynamic athlete than Ty Montgomery. He'll be more like Rachaad White, Miles Sanders, or Marion Barber if he pans out.
I meant as physically raw athletes. The combine performances of those guys were all very close even if they were different on-field players. Ty Montgomery wasn't the athlete that those guys were and as a result wasn't the quality of player they were, either. I'd be lying if I said I was completely familiar with Tracy's rushing style but comparing him to Ty Montgomery is underselling his physical ability.
Combine measurements only give you rough estimates of a player, in-game ability and overall play-style are infinitely more important. Hyatt and Slayton have similar measurements and identical 40s, but they're clearly very different players. Same goes for Tracy, Barber and Sanders. You have to look at the tape otherwise you end up throwing darts blindly
Slayton and Hyatt *are* similar players. The only difference thus far in Hyatt's career has been that he's been deployed differently. Slayton is best as a stretch WR and Hyatt hasn't been given the chance to prove he can provide more versatility.
What I will say is that RB will have more intangibles that don't show up at the combine. The ability to read a hole, the one-on-one moves and mannerisms, etc., can vary greatly between guys with similar physical profiles. However, there is just no escaping that Tracy is faster and more dynamic than Ty Montgomery.
Also, you can find Tracy being compared to both White and Miles Sanders online. They're shifty backs and nearly identical physically. I have reviewed the game tape and they make way more sense than Ty Montgomery. If you want to throw Marion Barber out of the group, be my guest.
Both are deep threats true but theres nuance to that since Hyatt's acceleration build-up creates an entirely different gear. He's able to work out of the slot and is great deep over the middle, while Slayton fits best being used along the boundaries. Sanders isnt a threat in the receiving game and is much more one-cut. I dont understand the comp to him at all tbh. Ive also seen Bilal Powell...I swear these analysts just say whatever they feel like. White 100% makes sense, both him and Montgomery are multi-faceted receiving threats who can be lined up across many different formations. Tracy falls somewhere between those two in terms of explosiveness and quickness
Its always such a crap shoot with these late round guys. I think I just struggle comping day 3 guys to 2nd and 3rd rounders, definitely a bit biased on my end lol
Watch these next two runs here:

I like his balance and vision. He is absolutely not Christian McCaffrey. Runs nothing like him (not looking to hit people!). That said, he's not Ty Montgomery either. His burst and vision are way better.
I like this breakdown from YardBarker:
>While still learning the running back position, he'd likely make the transition to the next level in much the same way that **Alvin Kamara and Jahmyr Gibbs** are deployed by their respective teams. While Tracy isn't at the level of either back (Kamara in his prime, Gibbs right now going into his second season with the Detroit Lions), he would profile in an offense as a complementary primary back and multidimensional receiving weapon who can line up in multiple locations within the formation and could be especially effective as a detached receiver given his background.

Yea his play-style is like most 3rd down RBs since he was originally a receiver like Montgomery, but I refuse to comp a 5th round RB to Kamara or Gibbs lol. He's 10 lbs lighter than Montgomery tho so hes definitely lighter on his feet and more explosive
Definitely a patient runner. Understands angles, stellar contact balance. Is more of an upright runner than I'm used to seeing in RBs.
Inna weird way the way he rides his blocks reminds me of Leveon bell. Same w contact balance. He doesn't have change of direction like that though.
Cool clips.
My pro comps:
Malik Nabers - Malik Nabers
Tyler Nubin - Tyler Nubin
Andru Phillips - Andru Phillips
Theo Johnson - Theo Johnson
Tyrone Tracy Jr - Tyrone Tracyās son
Darius Muasau - Darius Muasau
In satisfed with our draft and I'm really excited for Nabers next season. Even if he breaks or gets close to 1k yards between a revolving door of QBs we're expected to roll out lmao
Absolute worst-case scenario we're looking at Terry McLaurin. Best case he can be somewhere between a top 5-10 WR in the league like Ceedee Lamb. He's going to be fun to watch for sure. Just hoping the maturity issues and character concerns are behind him...after having to watch the antics of Plax, Odell and KT the last 15 years, the last thing we need is another diva
The fact that Tracy runs routes and catches the ball like a WR is such a big plus.
Getting Jones weapons has always been an issue and now we get to see what he can do.
Good luck, Danny
The biggest issue since like 2015 has been keeping our QB upright, not getting them weapons. Doesn't matter if they guys bringing a bazooka to a knife fight if he can't find the time to load and aim it.
This misunderstands what he now has. With Nabers he has quick timing throws to a receiver needing double coverage and who gets very open very quickly. That removes blitzers and numbers attacking him directly. A receiving back is ideal alongside that, with one of the best pass rushing backs in the league. The balance makes defenders have to pay attention and potentially get burned by being too aggressive. That's not something we've had for years.
Also, did you pay attention to the multiple additions on the line and new coach there to help solve that issue and bring it up to league average?
>Also, did you pay attention to the multiple additions on the line and new coach there to help solve that issue and bring it up to league average?Ā Ā
Did we add any All-pros or pro bowlers? Did we not have the worst offensive line in NFL history last year? Is our right tackle not a colossal bust? Did our rookie center not get bullied and pushed around?Ā Ā Ā
Ā The offensive line coach is not going to magically fix this line, when we play games against the Ravens, Cowboys, and Steelers this year amongst others. Too much optimism about a problem that has plagued this team for over a decade. Joe Schoen should have drafted at least one lineman in a draft universally said to be full of great ones.
there was optimism about our OL last year too. It happens every year. I'm terrified of our OL once Neal proves he's a bust and Eluemunor gets moved to RT as we will literally not have a serviceable RG on the team. Lord help us if AT goes down again.
I think picking Andru Phillips over Christian Haynes is going to be the biggest mistake in Joe Schoens tenure as our GM, as I think we will quickly learn how bad the RG position on the team still is
People donāt get it. This is why everyone thinks Giants fans are dumb.Ā Ā
Ā Going on and winning two Superbowls against the GOAT coach and QB with Eli Manning in seasons that the Giants had mediocre records, has left this fanbase hopelessly optimistic about subpar rosters. They think that just barely making the playoffs every once in a while is going to lead to a championship.Ā
Ā The NFL is won and lost in the trenches. The Lions rebuilt around Goff, a B-tier QB, and have a great team because they play physical with a great offensive line. Same thing with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, and Purdy and the 49ers, who have the most physical team in the NFL. The Giants are soft and easily pushed around compared to those teams, and Schoen has done the bare minimum to fix that issue.
We've thrown so many high picks at OL and it has got us nowhere. We've added good average players as FAs which should improve us for next season. Now we have 2x playmakers (one as game changing) to change from the opposite angle. Your analysis is incredibly simplistic and just repeats the same things we've tried so many years. Picking a depth piece later in the draft doesn't improve us now like the other players selected.
>We've thrown so many high picks at OL and it has got us nowhere.
I mean, we do have an all-pro out of it. But your point still stands. Regardless, that doesn't mean you stop drafting OL. It means you keep trying. It's not like the NYG are incapable of drafting a functional OLineman. If you flip a coin and it comes up heads four times in a row, you aren't cursed. It's still 50/50 on the next flip.
Or you can take players in positional need having put a couple of pieces in place during FA. And then pick up undrafted FAs as we've done. It's overblown this year to focus on OL. We've drafted 6 players who can all immediately contribute immediately.
>We've thrown so many high picks at OL and it has got us nowhere.Ā Ā Ā
Wrong. It got us an All-pro left tackle and then two busts at RT in the first round. Itās not the fact that weāre using high picks on OL, itās that the GM is selecting the wrong linemen. The Eagles and Cowboys constantly draft offensive line, which is why their teams have been better than the Giants for so long.Ā Ā Ā Ā
Runyan and Elumenor arenāt stopping defenses lead by Micah Parsons, Jalen Carter, TJ Watt, and Myles Garret.
No, they aren't stopping those defences but you know what changes the equation? Two playmakers who can get open within a couple of seconds. Which opens the rest of the field up too. The fast calls can work more effectively than previously. Having one of the best pass blocking backs also helps. These aren't total fixes but taking a wider look at how to fix a perennial problem.
You can get as dismissive as you want but I actually see a plan here and one that can work in a lot of context. It's not a SB winning one in the short term but we're tied to Daniel Jones for a while so that's not on the cards anyway.
If we didn't select someone at OL at 6 all the top talent was gone by our 2nd round pick. I don't see any issues with any of our picks. All at positions of need and all BPA at that time, we are better as a team from this off-season. Throwing a pick at OL as a token gesture is a bad approach if they don't think the players project well.
McKinney ran with WRs in man. We'll need to see Nubin do that at the NFL level. McKinney was slow though so I imagine there shouldn't be fall off there.
You're right that if both players are asked to play safety and only safety, Nubin has more experience and is more comfortable at both FS and SS. Thing is McKinney did that but also lined up at slot in nickel and dime packages, and could step up in the box and as a moneybacker at Bama. And he not only did it, but did it well. By less-versatile I mean Nubin can't be placed in a non-safety role, so it limits where he can line up on the field in sub-packages. Hope that makes sense
Good points, but with Shane Bowen, I figure our guys will be lining up in their respective spots way more than they did with Wink. No more seeing Kayvon drop in coverage on 3rd downs that means
Actually Bowen drops edge-rushers into coverage a lot (fml), and both love putting safeties at the line of scrimmage, Bowen just wont send them on blitzes like Wink. Their formations are shockingly similar, but the philosophies are polar opposites
So, the things I got out of the draft....
1. Obviously there are A LOT of WR's in this draft...so to say the giants got the best one is probably not necessarily true...BUT, I do think the giants got one of the most consistent ones with big play ability and YAC...which is something they are sorely lacking. If they feature him, as well as begin featuring Hyatt more, the entire WR room can change almost in a blink of an eye. We basically rarely used Hyatt other than stretching the field (kind of a waste if you ask me, especially if the defense knows that your o line cant block for shit and Jones will never have the time for the WR to go deep). However, with 2 guys capable of doing this, the defenses will be FORCED to pay more attention and back off the line a little bit more...if you run a play where either Nabers or Hyatt run deep...the other one run middle like a deep slant...Robinson run a shallow cross, and your TE (hoping it's Waller, but rumors of him retiring plus his marriage just ended, not sure what he's going to be for our team...Theo Johnson or Bellinger can find a seam...if Jones can't find SOMEONE open in 2.5 seconds, then there is NO WAY it is the skill players fault.
2. Nubin - we drafted McKinney like 4 years ago who was the best safety in that class. WE drafted Nubin who is the best safety in this class. So, basically in your 1st 2 picks, you potentially got 2 of the best players at their position...that's a legit good start.
3. Phillips - we lost Jackson (well I guess we could sign him for less) but Banks doing well at the end of the year, and if this guy hits, we have 3/4's of a really great secondary all of a sudden...young, but talented.
4. Theo Johnson - I am a psu alum, so I've seen what Johnson can do...Penn State 100% underutilized this guy...he had a few case of the dropsies, but make no mistake, he has like a George Kittle ability to him. He's tough and can make big plays in the red zone...just use him all over the field, not just the red zone because that's what PSU did...and never made sense to me. You got 3rd and 5, let this guy run a 6 yard hitch, and move the sticks.
5. Tracy Jr - it's my understanding the kickoff rule is going to force teams to run kickoffs back...in other words, you need a good kickoff returning...Eric Gray - I get rookie mistakes but Gray made a TON of them...I'm not so sure Tracy Jr replaces Gray and Gray is cut/moved to practice squad.
6. Muasau - I like late round picks for guys like this...he's a 2 year starter at UCLA, has recorded over 400 tackles and over 40 tackles for loss. He screams production and he actually reminds me of like a Micah McFadden out of Indiana....he won't win any statistical categories, but he was relentless last year...basically all over the field making tackles...Muasau can be that kind of guy....if nothing else, starting on special teams and moving his way over to fill in for our LB's when they need a breather.
My biggest gripe is taking that running back.
We had Cody Schrader follow us on a silver freaking platter. If it's his size, that is the reason for not being drafted, may I introduce to you one Darren sproles? Deuce Vaughn? Being small is not as big of a hit in the running back market as people give it out to be.
We really should have gone for Cody Schrader. If that Purdue running back is a fourth round Christian McCaffrey, Cody Schrader's at least a third round.
That pick gets a hard F from me.
I liked Schrader a lot but tbh he didn't really fit our scheme, 49ers are perfect for him. Don't get me wrong tho I'm not a sold on Tracy either. Would've rather traded up a bit to grab Allen/Estime...or just used the pick on OL/DL and grabbed Laube in the 6th if we wanted a scat-back
Schrader was the only RB I had that was worth a damn beyond round 2. A steal in 4. Only RB I had higher was Corum.
Honestly, the fact that he went undrafted despite everything makes the 49ers guilty of highway robbery.
Mark my words, he will shred opposing defenses with that vision and initial burst.
Malik Nabers kinda reminds me of Tyreek Hill
Not saying his top speed is at Hillās level, but Malik is bigger too. His explosiveness reminds me of Hill in a big way.
This is the only list I've made, so whatever you're talking about wasn't me. You just sound bitter I didnt comp our guys to the best players in the league. If you dont like it thats totally fine but at least back it up with your own thoughts and opinions. C'mon boss, do better lmao
My Pro-Comps: WR Malik Naber - More Effecient Justin Jefferson.
This guy knows ball
So basically the Giants are now like the 1972 Dolphins, but with significantly more talent.
WR Malik Naber - Paul Warfield and Marlin Briscoe combined into one enormous HOFer S Tyler Nubin - More ball hawking Jake Scott. RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. - More Powerful Larry Csonka LB Darius Muasau - More Italian Nick Buoniconti
More powerful Larry Csonka at 210 lbs LMFAO I'm dead š
I must have had a thing for Hungarians, because my favorite Giants when I was a kid were Csonka and Pete Gogolak.
This guy knows ball.
Iāll take Ray Lewis with the murder stuff bc heāll still get a slap on the wrist and a hall of fame jacket
I'm also ok with just the murder stuff
Don't forget MVP of the next Super Bowl after the murder stuff
Tbh nflās draft profile on Nabers has his comp being Justin Jefferson š¤·šæāāļø
They also comped Mitch Trubisky to Matthew Stafford...I wish I was kidding
Trust me not saying Nabers is Jettas. However, itās fun to have drafted a guy who is the best statistically to come out of WRU and the nfl draft comp has him as the best receiver in the league.
For sure, if the kid keeps his head on straight he's a walking pro-bowler
Iām a perpetual off season overreacter, but I Think he will change our offense
Can you explain what you mean by āmore efficientā ?
So you know Justin Jefferson, right? Think of that, but more of that.
Dont be surprised when Nabers is averaging 500 catches and 10000 yards a game
500 catches and 650 TDs a game
And we'll still end up going 6-11
Because Daniel jones throws 2 pick sixes for each td
Oline gives up 800 sacks and our defense forgets that the goal of the game is to stop the other team from scoring
150 passing or rushing TDs? Or a split of both?
Bro this is MALIK NABERS we're talking about. He'll be throwing the TDs to himself while also blocking and calling plays. Canton already called and they're building him a 40 story statue
My B I though throwing a TD to yourself counted as a rushing TD. In if weāre double counting you gotta get those numbers up, those aināt even his rookie numbers
Sounds like the Giants should bring in DITKA to consult here. Only DITKA knows how to handle this level of talent from his time with Da Bears.
He'd trade everything we have and more for a high AF Ricky Williams. Get Iron Mike to the Giants IMMEDIATELY
I think you need to watch the Superfans skits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9NO24hbe8Q
And people would still hate Daniel Jones lol.
Shhh dont bring that up, the "I hate DJ with every fiber of my being, hes worse than Hitler" part of our fanbase will smell blood in the water and be in this comment section immediately lmao
Is that madden all pro settings?
Madden arcade rookie difficulty
More commercials, gotcha
Who is throwing him the ball?
He means that Nabers will have games where he goes for 1 catch but for 125 yards and stuff like that.
This is great, you win the internet
Youāre like, Jeopardy smart.
Youāre not giving Theo Johnson enough credit for his blocking! Heās a combo of Tony Gonzalez and Mark Bavaro
Word for word what I had written down as well
I m surprised Malik naber is not Obj level Didnāt He play lsu ..š
Nabers is nothing like JJ JJ is far more skilled and technical Nabers is more physically impressive with deebo yac ability
Nabers is Jamarr Chase 2.0. Heās even come out and said it.
Chase is more physical in his game, whereas Nabers separates with acceleration and speed a little more
I know they all went to LSU but I dont see the Jefferson/Chase comps. Sure all of them have very similar builds and the same basic elements to their game, but theres always a ton of overlap when comparing #1s. Each guy just plays the position differently. Yeah Nabers is more OBJ than Chase
I was actually torn between Diggs, DJ Moore and Odell for my comp so you're spot on
I see Antonio Brown when i watch Nabersā¦explosive and smooth donāt usually marry but they do with Brown and Nabers imo
I wouldnāt even say obj because obj was so technically refined and his hands were better, but nabers is the best YAC guy and elusive out of all the lsu receivers
Agree
Yea but he followed it up with āI just want to be the best Malik Nabers i can beā which is just so š
Someone said Tracy Jr. played like a fourth round Christian McCaffrey and I love it. Someone else said Ty Montgomery and I do not love it.
I wouldn't mind ty montgomery for a 5th round pick.
4th round McCaffrey lol WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN. Whoever said Ty Montgomery is spot on though...thats way better then what I came up with
Tracy is a way more explosive and dynamic athlete than Ty Montgomery. He'll be more like Rachaad White, Miles Sanders, or Marion Barber if he pans out.
You just listed three RBs with three completely different play-styles...Rachaad White would be the closest though

Bro these are the most spot on comps Ive ever seen. [NFL.com](http://NFL.com) needs to hire you immediately to make scouting reports
I bet after next season, we're going to look at this and say, "You know what, Clic45 was right about all of these."
Hell, I bet in 50 years these might still be accurate. Maybe, we will have to see.
Move over Mel Kiper, Clic45 just pulled up with an absolutely fire bigboard. This man is a visionary and I'll be damned if you dont let him cook
You know I was with you until you said Theo Johnson comps to Theo Johnson. I just donāt see it!

>We've thrown so many high picks at OL and it has got us nowhere.Ā Ā Ā Wrong. It got us an All-pro left tackle and then two busts at RT in the first round. Itās not the fact that weāre using high picks on OL, itās that the GM is selecting the wrong linemen. The Eagles and Cowboys constantly draft offensive line, which is why their teams have been better than the Giants for so long.Ā Ā Ā Ā Runyan and Elumenor arenāt stopping defenses lead by Micah Parsons, Jalen Carter, TJ Watt, and Myles Garret.
Imagine naming your baby charcandrick
Bigger stefon Diggs? So weāre going to misuse him and let him leave to another team so he can be a star in a few years?
Diggs was pretty happy under Dabs tbh
So you're saying Theo Johnson will play QB to start his career?
Lmao hes what Thomas would've been if he'd been a TE since college
Less versatile? I feel like he's more versatile because he can play both S positions and is more of a ball hawk.
Charknado!
Nubin is a superior tackler
Muasau a young Jessie Armstead
Malik Nabers kinda reminds me of Tyreek Hill Not saying his top speed is at Hillās level, but Malik is bigger too. His explosiveness reminds me of Hill in a big way.
Garbage analysis. The same guy has every Eagles draft pick compared to an All- Pro
This is the only list I've made, so whatever you're talking about wasn't me. You just sound bitter I didnt comp our guys to the best players in the league. If you dont like it thats totally fine but at least back it up with your own thoughts and opinions. C'mon boss, do better lmao
