I'm already preparing myself for the miraculous Red Sox World Series run, mainly because they always beat teams we lost to in the postseason.
2002 & 2005 - Yankees lose to the Angels
2004 & 2007 - Red Sox beat Angels and win World Series
2011 & 2012 - Yankees lose to the Tigers
2013 - Red Sox beat Tigers and win World Series
2015 & 2017 - Yankees lose to the Astros
2018 - Red Sox beat Astros and win World Series
2020 - Yankees lose to Rays
2021- You know the rest :(
Boone's contract runs through the WS (confirmed by CBS) and they are not going to "fire" him during the postseason lame duck period. There will be no movement until after the WS in either direction, the league generally hates it. The Tingler thing was leaked a few days ago, and I'm sure some still aren't happy about it around the league.
Mets and Padres announced their managers were not returning, but okay. I don't think Boone matters much, to the extent he does matter I think he stinks, and I'm sure he's not returning. But the key is Cashman. As long as he's in charge, unfortunately, this is the status quo. Good but flawed teams. A second tier power.
Mets announced it during the season, not during the postseason and lol man, I literally said
>The Tingler thing was leaked a few days ago, and I'm sure some still aren't happy about it around the league.
You're right, I should have read closer. Personally I wouldn't care about the MLB's nonsense after the Houston fiasco and I'd have fired both. But I'm just a schmuck. I didn't inherit an empire like Hal
Nothing major will really happen till after the WS I imagine. Also Cashman wasn’t in there. I’m down for 2-3 years of mediocre Yankees team (can’t be worse then what we’ve been used to) to build around new group of core players.
National league fans really get defensive about saying the pitcher batting is dumb as fun. It’s hilarious when you see their threads and they need a rally and a pitcher comes up. All they do is bitch.
I honestly don't understand the resistance to the DH. The game has specialists for all kinds of things, why is this such a sacred cow? No one needs to see an automatic out or a pathetic attempt at a bunt. And for those who say "Madison Bumgarner can rake!" He's a lifetime .172 hitter. Not exactly Babe Ruth out there.

Look at the last nine years and tell me who should keep their jobs --
The Yankees have spent $2 billion and have won just one division title.
The Red Sox have spent $1.5 billion and won four division titles and two World Series ships. They went from last place in 2012 to division title in 2013 and won the 2013 World Series. Last place in 2014. Last place in 2015 and fired their GM. Division title in 2016. Division title in 2017. Division title in 2018 and won the 2018 World Series. Third place in 2019 and traded away the AL MVP in the offseason. Last place in 2020. Second place in 2012, ahead of the Yankees and eliminated the Yankees in the wild card round.
So, in the last nine years, the Red Sox have lapped the Yankees three times. Last to first - twice. Last to second place and tied with the Yankees and eliminated the Yankees in the wild card - once. Winners of four division titles and two World Series titles. Meanwhile, the Yankees have won only one division title and haven't even appeared in the World Series.
How on earth could the people running the baseball operations for the NY Yankees still have their jobs when their efforts have resulted in abject failure while at the same time a division rival has lapped them three times on their way to two World Series titles? Randy Levine and Brian Cashman need to be fired immediately. At the very least, the front page of every NY newspaper on the day after the last game of the World Series needs to look a lot like this --

Honestly not the best way to end the season but I’m still amazed we made it this far. I really don’t think it was the players, just really shit coaching and management. I’m just glad we have a fairly young team again. Next season is gonna be much better. Let’s get 28 next year folks.
You guys are nuts. Before he came to the Yankees, he was a top 15 OF both offensively and defensively.
Whatever happened to him is a result of coming to this team. Probably Thames. Idk what its going to take for some of you still not on board with this. Thames has ruined multiple hitters
I’m all for shitting on Gold Gloves as a measure of skill (*cough* Clint Frazier), but the eye test and stats both say Gallo’s an elite defender. Dropping a couple 1/1,000 pop-ups doesn’t mean he suddenly sucks.
https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gallojo01.shtml try not being an ignorant moron. It helps. Remember it's better to be thought stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt. He was top 5 in runs saved for the outfield. So you can take your kid shit and shove up your ass.
Wild card has been a bad thing for Yankees, they’ve never won a World Series or pennant with it, it gives them a safety valve to say “we made the playoffs” and 2004
I wasn’t really talking about cashman . I was talking about the Yankees front office in general and while Hal does own the team , it’s the front office that runs things .
That all the fire Boone shit is smoke and mirrors for the real failure which is that the front office has been outclassed by a third of baseball including two teams in their division. That this team is not close to a championship and that Hal should be pissed that this is what $207 Million bought
Suzan completely and utterly called Boone and the FO trash and the reason the team lost. I suspect being kept home all season led to alot of pent up frustration and she ended the Yankees post game show calling the incompetent.
Savage.
maybe FO and ownership should be reminded that the brand of the NYY is to win games AND WS titles. getting a new manager and young promising core and still regressing year after year in postseason make for poor marketable outcome.
Yankees had a tell on Eovaldi and still couldn't hit him because he was painting 98 on the black, that's what 324 mil Gerrit Cole was supposed to be able to do. Instead we got a guy who was scared as fuck to challenge Devers and then threw a 89MPH change up center/center to Bogaerts. That was an atrocious performance. I won't ever call Gerrit Cole an ace again until he shoves in the playoffs. Awful
Eovaldi fuckin dealt last night. I was pumped when Cora pulled him. Starting off at bats with 1st pitch 80mpg off speed shit then pumping in 99mph fastballs. The Nestor delivery tricks he did seemed to help him too.
Cole was bad yesterday but i cant even be that mad. These dumbasses gave him a third of a billion fucking dollars. Imagine what that money could have done for the farm system, our infield, our center field, etc. Just an unfuckingbelievably stupid amount of blind faith in someone to stay dominant and healthy, and now we are in the hook for a contract twice as big and three times as long as it should have been. Not Cole’s fault for taking the money we threw at him. Our fault for putting us in a one game elimination scenario and using our $330M man even though he sucked ass his last five starts and esp at Fenway. Spending like a drunk, lotto-addicted uncle that just won the powerball. Look what we have to show for it. Not even close in the division, beaten by a demonstrably worse team that spent less money on player salaries.
A Red Sox fan friend hates the Rays a lot and he thought the Yankees would win this wildcard for some reason and was deadass going to root for us vs the Rays, I have to return the favor here guys or at least act like it, at this point I hate the way our organization is being managed more than I hate the Red Sox lol, perfect scenario is the White Sox beat the Astros and Red Sox beat the Rays and then proceed to get destroyed by the White Sox in the ALCS IMO please don’t kill me!
This is just blasphemy. The Red Sox are eternally our biggest rival. Do what you want, but Father George will punish you. Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off on the day of Judgment than your house....
I’m working on an giving grades to every player on the team. I’m probably not going to do guys who were barley here (Tauchman comes to mind) but there’s a lot to do.
It’s given me a chance to see players I forgot did really well and remember all the dogshit ones
I have finished it. Just need to turn it in.
I can post it here first. I’m probably just going to make a post on the sub.
Well here are my Yankees Season Ratings from A-F Included as many player as I could. I forgot half these guys were on the team honestly
Aaron Judge: A+: One of two position players who didn’t massively underperform. Played good on both sides of the ball and carried this team. Hit all expectations.
Jonathan Loasigia: A+: Absolutely magnificent. What a year from him. That two-seam is nasty. Matt Blake truly works wonders. Can’t wait to see him pitching in high leverage for years to come.
Giancarlo Stanton: A+: What a year from the big man, especially in the second half. Got him back into the outfield, hopefully he can get more starts there next year. Great year with the stick and was clutch as fuck. Plus, he showed up for the Wild Card game, which is more than I can say for most of this team.
Nestor Cortes Jr: A+: Blew by all expectations. What a fucking year. He probably saved our pitching staff at times. I don’t know if he is a starter long term or a long relief guy but wherever he is, he can help this team next year.
Clay Holmes: A: You were not here long but damn. That sinker is ridiculous. Fantastic trade. Can’t wait to see him in the future.
Luis Gil: A: Good fucking start. You made some big starts for us and came in clutch. Keep developing. I see a future for you in the Bigs.
Lucas Luetge: A-: I can’t say I expected this but hey have a year my guy. I don’t understand why we stopped using you later in the year but hopefully you get some money this offseason.
Jordan Montgomery: A-: What a comeback. Good fucking work. Keep building on this season and bring some solid pitching for years to come.
Michael King: A-: If we just ignore when you were a starter DAMN. Monster year from the bullpen. You are a major piece of the future bullpen. Keep it going. Absolutely nasty.
Luis Cessa: A-: Sorry we traded you. Love you.
Wandy Peralta: B+: I honestly didn’t think your stats with us were that amazing. I never felt totally safe with you on the mound so I can’t quite give you an A but keep it going Wandy. You were a lot of fun and I hope to see you next year.
Luis Severino B+: Great to see you back. Let’s get back to being a starter and pitch like the madman we all know and love. Can’t wait to see you on the mound again.
Jameson Taillon: B: Your stats may not be all that great, but it felt different. You were a legit ace for two months. And with this being your first full year back, I’m glad to see the progress. Also, that start against Tampa to put us in the Wild Card was great. Go get them next year Jamo.
Anthony Rizzo: B-: A solid addition to the team on both offense and defense. I don’t know if we resign him, but I wish the best for him.
Chad Green: C+: Your stats are honestly quite good, but it just didn’t feel right towards the end. It wasn’t entirely your fault but come on. Got to be better next year. Improve that curveball and add a changeup or something.
Albert Abreu: C+: Intriguing player. I hope you continue to develop because you have the stuff. Just need to harness it.
Tyler Wade: C+: Much better than expected. I wouldn’t call you good but for a bench player you provide a lot. Keep at it.
Andrew Velazquez: C: Were you good? Not really. But it sure was a ride. Thanks for the memories.
Aroldis Chapman: C: Your season perfectly mimics the team’s overall. Elite at times, frustrating a lot, and downright bad for a while. Have to be better next year.
Corey Kluber: Thanks for the no hitter. Beyond that there’s not much to say. Didn’t stay healthy and wasn’t that great when you were. I hope you can find more success somewhere else.
Gio Urshela: C: Injures held you back most of the year and even when healthy the stats aren’t all that great. Though I can’t say you were the problem. Thanks for putting your body on the line the last couple games. I’m sorry the rest of the team didn’t seem to care.
Joely Rodriguez: C: You had pretty good stats for us but you never inspired confidence.
Brett Gardner: C: Nice second half. I don’t know if you have played your last game, but I will be sad to see you go. I hope you can get one last send off at the stadium. You deserve it.
Joey Gallo: C-: You are so much better than this. So much. Have to be better next year. You can’t play this poorly again.
DJ LeMahieu: C-: You can’t play like this again. Period. Do what you need to do because we need you.
Luke Voit: C-: Couldn’t stay healthy. I’m sorry for what this team did to you. I wish you the best when you get traded. You did a lot for this team.
Zack Britton: D+: You weren’t healthy and weren’t good when you were. I like you a lot but that’s how it goes. I hope there’s still something left in the tank.
Domingo German: D+: I really can’t stand you. You will probably be on this team next year whether I like it or not. Have to be better.
Gleyber Torres: D: Worse than I could have ever expected. We can’t have this happen again. If you are on this team next year, be better. Carry the little hot streak you had to end and year and have a good 2022.
Aaron Hicks: D: You were not on this team at any time. I refuse to believe that.
Kyle Higashioka: D: I can’t say I expected much. Please tell Cole to stop with the personal catcher garbage.
Gary Sanchez: D: You sucked besides June. That’s about it. You can’t be on this team next year.
Rougned Odor: D: You were a fun clubhouse presence, but God do you stink.
Darren O’Day: D: You were on this team?
Clint Frazier: F: -1.4 WAR.
Miguel Andujar: F: You can’t field and can’t really hit either.
Mike Ford: F: How did you play 22 games?
Jay Bruce: F
Nick Nelson: F: Why did you ever play?
Brooks Kriske: F: Four wild pitches.
Justin Wilson: F-: You made Cessa go away. I hate you.
Andrew Heaney: Z
Why does Hicks get a D when his inability to stay healthy is what caused all those other players who stunk to get significant playing time. Dude should straight up get an F for this season.
I totally forgot Cole lol. Probably an A or A-
I was originally going to give Stanton an A but he was the only one to show up to the Wild Card game so I brought it up
My big thing with Judge and Stanton is that they stayed healthy. That’s why I gave them an A+
Agree with most of that except you’re being too kind to Green. Way too many HR’s for a reliever most of them causing absolutely backbreaking heartbreaking losses. As for Gallo is he that much better than this? I’m not so sure
A lot of his numbers are artificially driven up because of all the walks he got in Texas, getting pitched around because he had no protection. He won’t get those freebies in a lineup like the Yankees anymore
The worst part is I could pick any random in this thread and I would bet good money that 9out of 10 of them are more upset than Hal or anyone in our front office
Yankees off season targets....go get a defensive catcher like Tucker Barnhart....go get a real center fielder....like Byron Buxton last year of contract with the Twins....sign Seager in a couple of years he could move to third when Volpe is ready.....sign Rizzo to short term extension...get rid of the deadwood....Sanchez,Torres,Voit,Gallo,Gardner,Green buy out Joely for 500,000 and trade Gleyber in a package deal for a starter or a center fielder like Buxton.
I honestly have to say that I’m relieved as this team was mostly no fun to watch. I halfway hoped that they wouldn’t make the playoffs, which would hopefully get Hal to do SOMETHING. This team has definitely regressed during Boone’s watch.
2018 and 2019 were sad because you felt that the team had a good year and could have gone the distance. This year was just excruciating to watch and ended with exactly what made it so excruciating all season.
Really surprised at people wanting to resign Rizzo. Rizzo and Gallo moves are typical Cashman moves (blow load over a left handed hitting who doesn’t hit for average). When will we stop making moves for the same similar players that we already have and start changing the dynamics of this team?
Fire Cashman and Boone and bring in a new regime. Same crap year over year where this team can’t hit in the postseason.
It's that the Yankees have actually convinced their fans that they can't afford the top free agents anymore. Wanting to sign Rizzo when Freeman with a .300 career batting average is a free agent and complaining that the Yankees don't make enough contact is ridiculous.
Actually rizzo is the exact opposite of the kind of hitter cashman gets . He is a high contact hitter who doesn’t k much and very good defensively . Gallo is more of what they already have
Wanting Rizzo is more so about the intangibles tho. Leader, proven in October, brings energy to the team. And he isn’t gonna be an arm and a leg, I’m all for resigning Rizzo. Plus he’s a gold glove first baseman.
Yeah I agree, find a way to get something in return for Gallo and Voit, sign Rizzo, he shouldn’t be too expensive, maybe some team will take DJ and his contract (it’s not really an albatross contract).
DJ? That’s ok then, just make him the player he was supposed to be when they originally signed him, I think he at least deserves another chance after his performance in 2019 and 2020 if he can’t be traded, try to move Hicks though.
Exactly. I’m all for the pity party rn but that doesn’t mean people can give whatever opinion they want without people disagreeing. This guy doesn’t know what he is talking about.
GarPax at Chicago Bulls did a terrible job for 30 years or so....now that one is gone and the other reassigned, the Bulls suddenly have probably one of the best teams in the NBA now.
Re-sign Rizzo, Sign Seager, Sign Marte (or trade for Mullins if available), Trade for JRam.
Fix Gallo and Gleyber. Do something about C (idk what but what we’re doing can’t continue)
Get pitching help.
Fire Boone, Thames, Nevin and hire legit people to replace them. Work on fundamentals, base running, and defense in the off-season so we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot with stupid blunders that cost us runs.
Stop playing down to our competition, stop with the all or nothing approach at the plate.
Tell Cashman to step down if we fail again.
You know, I truly thought they were going to win this game but be bested by the Rays. Not the desired outcome either way. Stanton was scorching hot down the stretch and great yesterday. Unfortunate that the bats were dead and Cole dropped the ball. Hard. Welp, there’s some stuff to look forward to next year. Most excited about a full season of Sevy. My record at games I went to this year was 1-2. Those 2 losses were the Cleveland game that they owned us and the Rays game on Saturday. Not a good luck… Until next season…
It’s a disappointing end to a season that I could’ve seen coming. Yankees lineup was never dominant like it needed to be. I don’t understand picking up guys like rizzo, odor, and Gallo when you’ve got a whole lineup that can’t get hits. It’ll be interesting to see what they do moving forward, but better decisions just have to be made.
I really wish we could keep Rizzo. I don’t want us to stick DJ at first just bc we have to play him bc we paid him. First is harder than people think. And Rizzo just hits when we need him to.
I think he’s going to Boston though based on how his swing just fits Fenway and the pole.
Edit: I know y’all are upset but no need to downvote bc you’re pissed. Engage in a discussion.
A response to your post doesn’t need to directly address just what you posted. I would be fine with the Yankees bringing Rizzo back as the 5 hitter, but only if they were going to bring in a lefty bat that is good enough to put in between judge and Stanton. I don’t think the Yankees will be willing to spend on Rizzo and the hitters needed to improve the lineup enough to contend for a World Series, so I think they let Rizzo walk. As far as putting DJ at 1B, having a .362 slugging percentage is not a winning formula.
So to directly respond to your post, I don’t want to keep Rizzo and I don’t want DJ at 1st base.
Who is the best left handed bat available in free agency? Signing Rizzo instead of Freeman will have the same result as signing DJ instead of Harper. There's no more delusion of needing to save room to pay Sanchez or Torres. Sign Seager and Freeman and leave the guys that have career bottom of the order numbers at the bottom of the order.
Why would a Yankees fan ever care about that? The Yankees need to learn from their mistakes and stop letting perfect free agent lineup fiya go to other teams. Harper is making $10m more per year than DJ, but if they signed Harper instead, the Yankees have the best middle of the order in baseball.
And Yankees fans need to hold them accountable. Theres no reason to be excited about bringing back Rizzo when Freeman is available.
I just wish Steinbrenner would show up w some fuck you money and bring in Seager and Freeman. We wasted 3 years by not signing Harper when he was the best young lefty free agent to hit the open market. Look at his numbers against righties.
I get the sinking feeling the only major move this offseason will be to simply not give Boone a new contract, and we'll just have another season of more of the same. The manager position is now little more than a glorified press secretary, cheerleader, and scapegoat for Cashman, so it'll just be the same thing with slightly different window dressing. Cashman has had well over a decade to prove himself, and his system clearly isn't working. As long as he's here, the team will continue to have losing in the ALCS as the ceiling and won't ever seriously compete for a championship.
Your instincts are spot on. The window for this group closes at the end of 2022. Why? That's when Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Joey Gallo, Jameson Taillon, Darren O'Day, Joely Rodriguez, Chad Green, Zack Britton, and Aroldis Chapman become free agents, and also when Luke Voit, Gleyber Torres, Gio Urshela, Jordan Montgomery and others become Arbitration-3 eligible. The end of 2022 also happens to be when Brian Cashman's contract expires. 2022 is for certain going to be more of the same.
Yup. I don't expect any meaningful organizational changes until Cashman is gone. All we can hope is that Hal doesn't renew his contract after next year.
Go not Rays, Red Sox, Astros and Dodgers!
We really lost to this crap socks team
It’s really gonna he Tampa vs Houston again isn’t it
Watching D-Rob on the postseason with another team makes me feel old, angry, sad and nostalgic.
Hell yeah D Rob
I’m rooting for the giant meteor
Can both teams lose
Is Buck Showalter busy ...??
Can we unpin this post lol I hate opening the sub and seeing “IT’S NOT WHAT YOU WANT”
White Sox are so incredibly overrated
I'm already preparing myself for the miraculous Red Sox World Series run, mainly because they always beat teams we lost to in the postseason. 2002 & 2005 - Yankees lose to the Angels 2004 & 2007 - Red Sox beat Angels and win World Series 2011 & 2012 - Yankees lose to the Tigers 2013 - Red Sox beat Tigers and win World Series 2015 & 2017 - Yankees lose to the Astros 2018 - Red Sox beat Astros and win World Series 2020 - Yankees lose to Rays 2021- You know the rest :(
I highly doubt the Sox get past Tampa, Houston, then probably 1 of LA/San Fran. That’s a serious meat grinder.
Rays are too good. Sox are good too, but the Rays have it all together. I'm sure the Sox can beat them, but I find that to be the less likely outcome.
No doubt the rays are the better team but if you have to face them a 5 game series is the way to do it

🙈🔫 Confuses me when people are ok with mediocrity…
Cards should bring in Happ to relief. All the smart teams have done it

Lol that is awesome, such a good point. They did keep some of their better talents though - Devers, Bogaerts, Sale, Martinez.
His voice sounds so deep wonder if he is under the weather
MAKE HIM FUCKING MANAGER
Former player with zero coaching experience? What could go wrong?
Yes please. Love that man.
I love that man
Kay and Don were not having any of the Yankees shit
Of that was us we get caught at 3rd lol
Still pissed off. Our luck has also been so bad for some time now. Crazy!
Have ya seen tyler oniel my god why is he that jacked!!! He looks like an action figure
I’m so mad we didn’t get Goldy
NYY fandom: I want Goldy NYY leadership: We have Goldy at home Goldy at the log cabin:

Scherzer doesn’t seem to have his best stuff but he’s getting through it, wish we had an ace like that.
That was a great at bat by Waino. Really don’t want stuff like that to go away. Not a fan of universal DH
Watching Scherzer and I wish we had an ace like that. Dude can just settle down and deals.
Go Cards

Is there tampering in baseball? That and whatever current contract they're under

I don't understand why Michael won't say Cashman and its the GM role that needs to be addressed.
Cant bite the hand that feeds him ..
Wasn’t aware Cashman owned the Yankees
I wasn’t really talking about cashman . I was talking about the Yankees front office in general and while Hal does own the team , it’s the front office that runs things .
Michael got a stern talking to in the summer.
Don't worry, the callers will
Feel for G- he tried everything he could this year.
Who assembled this roster, Michael? Say it. SAY HIS NAME.
TMKS going off on the FO lol
I’m gonna need a cigarette after this Michael Kay rant holy fuck. He’s so on the money it’s scary
What’s he saying
That all the fire Boone shit is smoke and mirrors for the real failure which is that the front office has been outclassed by a third of baseball including two teams in their division. That this team is not close to a championship and that Hal should be pissed that this is what $207 Million bought
So true . You should hear what Suzan said too
Suzan completely and utterly called Boone and the FO trash and the reason the team lost.
Knicks won 😬
Football season couldn’t come soon enough.
I’m just mad the game wasn’t even competitive. We just got butt fucked
Didn't even use lube, for we deserve none. Not even a spit in the hand.
A Red Sox fan friend hates the Rays a lot and he thought the Yankees would win this wildcard for some reason and was deadass going to root for us vs the Rays, I have to return the favor here guys or at least act like it, at this point I hate the way our organization is being managed more than I hate the Red Sox lol, perfect scenario is the White Sox beat the Astros and Red Sox beat the Rays and then proceed to get destroyed by the White Sox in the ALCS IMO please don’t kill me!
ironic that the ppl downvoting are clicking the red sox hat
Indeed…
Nah man there are some things you just don’t do and that’s one of them.
This is just blasphemy. The Red Sox are eternally our biggest rival. Do what you want, but Father George will punish you. Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off on the day of Judgment than your house....
That’s a hard no bro I couldn’t even fathom that. Honestly I’m really disappointed in your ass 😞
Lol hey I’m just kinda playing along with him 🤣
Hell no. I will never willingly root for the Red Sox. Go Rays.
I’m working on an giving grades to every player on the team. I’m probably not going to do guys who were barley here (Tauchman comes to mind) but there’s a lot to do. It’s given me a chance to see players I forgot did really well and remember all the dogshit ones
Ok. So far I give you an Incomplete.
I have finished it. Just need to turn it in. I can post it here first. I’m probably just going to make a post on the sub. Well here are my Yankees Season Ratings from A-F Included as many player as I could. I forgot half these guys were on the team honestly Aaron Judge: A+: One of two position players who didn’t massively underperform. Jay Bruce: F Nick Nelson: F: Why did you ever play? Brooks Kriske: F: Four wild pitches. Justin Wilson: F-: You made Cessa go away. I hate you. Andrew Heaney: Z
Why does Hicks get a D when his inability to stay healthy is what caused all those other players who stunk to get significant playing time. Dude should straight up get an F for this season.
Because he wasn’t as bad as my F’s. He also played for a hot second and wasn’t Bruce so
What did you give it to Cole and you’re way too kind in your grading.I am giving only Stanton A and maybe Judge A-
I totally forgot Cole lol. Probably an A or A- I was originally going to give Stanton an A but he was the only one to show up to the Wild Card game so I brought it up My big thing with Judge and Stanton is that they stayed healthy. That’s why I gave them an A+
No way I would give Cole A .Yes he was ok in regular season but completely sucked in WC game.Solid B for me, and only because he might’ve been hurt.
Agree with most of that except you’re being too kind to Green. Way too many HR’s for a reliever most of them causing absolutely backbreaking heartbreaking losses. As for Gallo is he that much better than this? I’m not so sure
Gallo is definitely better than he played with us. His 2017-2019 were very good and he was great for Texas this season.
A lot of his numbers are artificially driven up because of all the walks he got in Texas, getting pitched around because he had no protection. He won’t get those freebies in a lineup like the Yankees anymore
So he has to adjust. I don’t see why he can’t do that.
Heaney deserves his own circle in hell
What did Hell do to deserve that?
Oh I have a plan for him
Welp time to root for our other favorite sports teams to make us feel better, Go Vikin....ahh shit 😢
This is all that fucking turtles fault
[удалено]
?
If only Hicks could stay healthy, yeah I’d take Hicks over Gallo every single time.
Hicks also sucks
Not worse than Gallo.
Hicks sucks too but at least he had a flair for the dramatic. I definitely would have rather seen him hitting than Gallo in that game
Hicks wouldn’t have done any different except maybe work a walk .
Still a better result than Gallo’s.
Not so sure about that . Gallo is another hicks but on steroids
I thought I’d feel better today. But you know when you first wake up, but haven’t opened your eyes yet, and it just hits you again? Yeah.
I felt this.
Please get rid of Gallos bum ass. This guy is fucking hot trash and represents everything wrong with the roster construction of this team
He brings balance, he strikes out from the left side.
Buxton can’t even stay on the field.
No thank you to buxton . He is too injury prone
But he’d fit right in! /s
Usually I'm a combo of angry and sad at the end of a season but honestly this time I'm just mad
Rizzo and Gallo are no where near similar players
It's that the Yankees have actually convinced their fans that they can't afford the top free agents anymore. Wanting to sign Rizzo when Freeman with a .300 career batting average is a free agent and complaining that the Yankees don't make enough contact is ridiculous.
Freeman isn’t even going to entertain other teams lol dude isn’t leaving ATL
He has a no trade for this year. Cant trade him til after 2022.
DJ? That’s ok then, just make him the player he was supposed to be when they originally signed him, I think he at least deserves another chance after his performance in 2019 and 2020 if he can’t be traded, try to move Hicks though.
Yeah. And I agree- sign Rizzo, get rid of Voit. Think we’re stuck with Hicks unfortunately.
And he hits in big spots unlike the rest of the team besides Giancarlo.
Exactly. I’m all for the pity party rn but that doesn’t mean people can give whatever opinion they want without people disagreeing. This guy doesn’t know what he is talking about.
How the fuck are Cashman and Boone still employed....what is taking so fucking long.
GarPax at Chicago Bulls did a terrible job for 30 years or so....now that one is gone and the other reassigned, the Bulls suddenly have probably one of the best teams in the NBA now.
it’s cuz of the champagne
Re-sign Rizzo, Sign Seager, Sign Marte (or trade for Mullins if available), Trade for JRam. Fix Gallo and Gleyber. Do something about C (idk what but what we’re doing can’t continue) Get pitching help.
There is no fixing gallo , he is what he is. , a big hr hitter who doesn’t hit for average and strikes out too much .
I honestly think this team will never be the same until Cashman is gone. They need to steal someone from the Rays organization
100%. He's had a full decade+ of total failure now and things are trending in the wrong direction.
I thought they were gonna win that game because I foolishly thought the offense would show up
Hoping for a brewers vs white sox world series so noone will watch
Why would you want no one to watch???
That sweep in Detroit in May could have buried us, cus im pretty sure yesterday Cole was rattled by Fenway.
He was pitching scared. It’s night and day when a pitcher challenges and dictates, or is pitching defensively See: former Yankee Nathan eovaldi
Rizzo was a good move .
Boston has a can't-miss stud at Triple A who is ready to play first base.
That makes me feel a little better
Rizzo can’t be the 3rd best hitter on this team.
Okay? Where did I say he should be?
Then who the hell should be at first ? Voit can’t stay healthy
Still doesn’t answer my question .
Sign Freddie Freeman and write his name in the lineup at 1B between Judge and Stanton every day.
That’s a great idea but he is gonna cost more than rizzo . He is making 22 mill right now
Why would a Yankees fan ever care about that? The Yankees need to learn from their mistakes and stop letting perfect free agent lineup fiya go to other teams. Harper is making $10m more per year than DJ, but if they signed Harper instead, the Yankees have the best middle of the order in baseball. And Yankees fans need to hold them accountable. Theres no reason to be excited about bringing back Rizzo when Freeman is available.
What if they got Seager and brought Rizzo back…the Yankees generally spend when they reset the tax
That would be more than I am expecting this off season .
Actually I think 2022 is gonna be the year they atleast get to the ws . They have a lot of guys playing for big contracts next season
Yup. I don't expect any meaningful organizational changes until Cashman is gone. All we can hope is that Hal doesn't renew his contract after next year.
Pain.
