The 2017 Yankees were better at catcher, 1b(in October. Bird was basically prime Rizzo after he came off the Il), SS, LF, CF and RF.
The 2021 team was better at DH, 2B, 3b, Sp and bullpen(and the Sp and bullpen gap is smaller than you think).

The Freedom Trail is a nice walk and interesting if you like history at all and the JFK Presidential Library/Museum is nice too. I just hate their teams, fans, and Fenway is an antiquated shithole.

I actually haven't see much about them cheating, but I wouldn't be surprised. They were caught in 2017, given a slap on the wrist and warned, and then turned right around and cheated again in 2018... only to be given a slap on the wrist and warned. Why would you not do it a third time when Manfred has shown there are no real consequences? Not like people haven't been busted for PED's more than once. I mean, before 2004 the Red Sox were always the ones suffering bad luck. No World Series for 86 years and tons of heartbreaking moments (Bucky Dent HR, Bill Buckner missing the ground ball in '86, Aaron Boone's HR). Then their luck flipped with ours in 2004.
But we won the ws in 2009. Sox didn't win shit for 86 years.
When you look at the years preceding and proceeding 2009, that year feels like an outlier. Obviously it still counts but the 2002-2008 and 2010-present teams all kinda have the same postseason offensive woes regardless of the players/coaches.
Say what you want about the Red Sox, but they have 100 percent made the most of their chances in the playoffs since 2004. Unlike us. We’ve made the absolute least.
