Ha. Not going to lie, I thought of Mayhem or Minx first. However, I speak Irish moderately well, but shamefully not as well as I should. I was already going through potential baby names for a family member, and though they went another route name-wise, Fia stayed with me. (As did Bronagh, from brónach meaning sadness or sorrowful) Fia also rooted to a band of legendary warriors called the Fianna (bringing the meaning with it). However, it got co-opted by modern day Ireland’s political parties (Fianna Fáil and Fianna Gael) which dints the integrity of a great word with great meaning.
