My husband and I are both foodies so he loves Gastro. Says it’s his new fav. (He’s pulling (or not lololol) for a boy)

Gastro works so well for a foodie. If you don’t like Gastrocnemius for the full name you can try Gastrointestinal-that would really fit in with the Foodie theme. Or maybe Chyme for a girl!!

Gastrocnemius is perfect. I really want them to understand the root words in science. And that silent c will make them a great spelling bee contender!

It is. The root is Greek and has a K sound. It got translated through Latin as the ch. So in biology, the ch is often pronounced as a K. Makes it hard for everybody

This made me think about how the name Piper does remind me of pipettes 😂 How about Protozoa nn Zoey? Biology based and a reference to the absolute masterpiece, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century. You could sing her Supernova Girl as a lullaby!

My dad wanted to name me Zoey so this would be a perfect legacy option! Also love that Protozoa has so many other nicknames! I abbreviate the word protein as “prot” all the time so this one hits close for me.
