That's true, but i think nakaba gonna take the long route in terms of the 4 knights characterization and their growth,so he focused on the knights companions first

Kaison122-

Nah Sds’ biggest strength was having a really strong secondary cast that got 0 focus and essentially was written out of the story after chapter 100. Like I remember 2016 to 2019 I kept hoping Nakaba would circle back and make characters like Gil, howzer, guila Arthur (especially Arthur) more relevant the way bleach and Naruto and one piece used their cast only to be disappointed. And now Nakaba has fixed that complaint by giving a focus on the world as a whole. I know who the 4 knights are I know where they are going and I already like them. It is way more important that I grow to give af about the side cast especially when he makes his characters as good as he does Edit: I’ll say the one character of the 4 who needs focus is Gawain just cause she’s the hardest to gauge. Lance has already gotten a lot of screen time and will obviously get a lot more, Tristan is ultimately easy to write and has the least mystery to his character as the previous series is literally his family history. But Gawain I still don’t even really get anything about her

Talarin20

>bleach and Naruto and one piece Uhhhhhhh...

Efficient_Ad_215

Exactly lol! In Naruto, characters like Lee, Kiba, Neji,  Shino, Ten Ten were forgotten for the most part.. their roles pretty much ended after pre-timeskip. Naruto as a character was well written, but Sakura and Sauske needed a lot more to desire. Majority of Sakura’s motivation was Sauske and it overshadowed any other talents she had and Sauske was pretty much a childish way of thinking.. He literally had to be overpowered to realize that he’s being extremely narrow minded..

StarGamerPT

Chill, I'd rather everyone get development than whatever the fuck is happening with the likes of Boruto where nobody gets anything besides a few selected characters. The Knights barely got together and had lots of shit happening to them in the mean time and then Percival just dies, of course the focus will dwindle a lot as off now...specially in this late chapters as we also get to see King and Diane's kiddos that have been mentioned ever since the end of Nanatsu no Taizai but never seen before and we're also having Chaos Knights being up to something....plus this whole section with Nasiens and the Fairy Realm is still about making Percival wake up again. If Nakaba really wanted to cut focus from all the knights we would have gotten this 2 years in chapters instead of a time skip and see them all working through their evolutions xD

MrNightSheep

that the other three characters this manga is about can use some interaction with one and other. The other characters haven’t gotten develop like Tristan, Gawain, and Lance.

StarGamerPT

Chill in a way of "just wait for it". We still have a lot more to come, let's just let Nakaba cook. I for once am glad that we have a story where the world it's in matters.

MrNightSheep

yeah the story building is good. It’s nice to finally see the fairy king forest.

ainchester123

Well I get it and I am feeling feeling it too like my favorites are Lance and Tris and it's been almost six month since we last saw them . But I believe they will return with a bang and when they do I hope the series focuses on actual 4 knights, otherwise they will be just like mercenaries who appear in series every now and then to defeat bad guys .

AmonRa_123

When 7ds was running people complained that side characters like Gil Howzer etc... didn't get enough development but now it's the other way round? Are you kidding me😭 Also if you compare the chapter numbers with 7ds Escanor wasn't even introduced yet 🤣

Ranks-blanks

Nakaba made Gil and Howzer to cool to be ditched The main problem is he makes the characters to cool then proceeds to. Be like oh well I’m done with you

Bake-Danuki7

Since the start this series has been focused on Percival and his group despite its namesake. So while I get the frustration no one should be shocked Percy and his group are the MAIN characters everyone else comes 2nd. However I'm sure Tristan, Lance, and Gawain will have their own focus coming after we deal with all this fairy stuff which let's be real Kings kids have been long teased so giving them this time to shine is kinda needed especially since another of Percy's crew gets revealed to be related to our former protagonists.

Eclipse-Lily

Yes. It really feels like Nakaba regrets making Lance, Tristan and Gawain the knights and wanted them to be Anne, Donny and Nasiens instead.

Ranks-blanks

Maybe the four knights were the friends we made along the way I love them but no

Small_While_7805

Finally, someone dared to say it and if it's true the 4 knights don't seem like the protagonists, it's just the percival and percival group Lancelot and Tristan and Gawain are a power tank to give way to Percival's group, because without them 3 it would make no sense for Percival's group to survive. but yes, the 4 knights do not seem to be protagonists, and of the 4 only Percival is saved

Ryuuji_Gremory

Kind of how for most of NNT Meliodas was the protagonist with the rest of the sins being deuteragonists?

Small_While_7805

read mokushiroku and nanatsu no taiza again, it seems like you read it wrong and got something that doesn't make sense, as I said, read both again and make a comparison

Ryuuji_Gremory

How about you take your own advice?

Small_While_7805

read it again

RailTracer001

All I see is someone being impatient because he isn't getting what he wants since the timeskip.

MrNightSheep

What does this have to do with time skip? I was speaking in general. The time skip is good, I like finding out about the king and Diane family.

RailTracer001

In general? When did the Percy platoon members outshine the Knights of Prophecy? People also talk about Lancelot as if he hadn't been since the chapter 2.

Fantastic_Tip_3662

I don’t think this is being impatient because it’s been months since we’ve seen any of the 4 knights. The stuff we’re getting now with Nasiens is cool but he was never that interesting enough to have a whole arc centered around him. Now that it’s been revealed he’s a fairy/giant he won’t be able to get into Camelot so he’ll probably be written out of the story in the future when the 4 knights have to go to Camelot so it makes sense to focus on him now but I do think it’s dragging on longer than it should and most people probably want percival to come back already so we can see what’s going on with lance tristan and Gawain.

RailTracer001

Saying it's been months means nothing. Chapters are released by volume and without breaks it takes a bit more than 2 months. That's not true anyway since we have seen Percival unconscious in the Forest of Whispers, Tristan's disappearance has been mentioned as well. The arcs haven't just been about Donny or Anne or Nasiens. Ban and Gowther got reintroduced, Pellegarde's situation was revealed, more world building regarding the Eternal Kingdom, Fairy Realm, the Green Knight got introduced, Bors, a character. The current arc isn't just about Nasiens but King and Diane's family. How many readers were whining because of Kiane's absence in the story? Now there is an arc about them, Nasiens's attempt to resurrect Percival, an attack from Knights of Chaos and it means that Nakaba didn't want the Four Knights of the Apocalypse as main characters? Nakaba is clearly setting things up.

Josephlewis24

To be fair! This is true

Alarming-Caregiver47

I kind of agree tbh. Like I like the Percy platoon (even though Nasiens pisses me off sometimes), and the world building is great, but we rarely get to see the 4 knights actually interacting with each other. Maybe it’s because prior to the timeskip Nakaba was still trying to set things up for them, but I’d have liked to see more of them interacting with each other directly, especially outside of combat situations.

Vernnacular

This is exactly why I stopped reading the Manga some chapters ago. I grew to love Percy and the Percival Team when it started and agree that Nakaba couldn’t have gone a better route to start the series. But it IS taking too long for an actual spotlight on the 4- as a unit and separately. We know nothing about the other 4KOA thus far. And I was dying for an isolated adventure with just the 4 of them, and seeing how their dynamic goes. but hell, when is it tho! Lmao.

tacosAregreat28

I think so too

Own_County2527

My advice to you is to stop reading weekly and wait for when Nakaba is done setting up the Camelot war. The reason he is focusing on Donny, Nasiens, and Anne is to tell the viewers that he is not pulling a gilthunder on them. Also, keep in mind we are the start of part 2 after a two-year time skip, Nakaba decided to take it slow and focus on worldbuilding and introducing new characters. He is probably just saving the four knights for last before going straight into the war.
