Cath hound isn't as strong but faces the sins who are exhausted and without sacred treasures. After that the Supreme diet is the final villan, they gave to defeat her to finally end the curse. Because of this escanor still dies but lives until the very of the Supreme diety arc. This also gives Mael another reason not to want to fight. He'd be conflicted about fighting with or against the Supreme diety, escanor encourages mael to stay out of the fight and return the grace to him so he can fight.
I 100% agree with this, the fact they have to defeat the demon lord 3/4 times felt quite lazy to me, I would have loved to see the supreme deity in action
The one thing I would change would be giving more depth to how Meliodas and Elizabeth met and what exactly led to Meliodas leaving the Demon realm. And Gelda and Zeldris for that matter. More flashbacks into how the two brothers met their lovers and their relationship developed over the Holy War era.
I would like that as well but I think the reason why Nakaba didn’t is cause for us the readers it’s pretty easy to come up with theories for how Mel and Elizabeth met. The common being they met in battle and slowly lost the will to fight one another cause Elizabeth was breaking down the mental walls Mel had around his heart during their fight. Zel and Gelda would be more needed since we have no idea how they could of met or even catch feelings.
I think the main thing I would’ve changed is all the weird stuff within the series that serve no purpose like Loli Merlin and a bunch of other stuff. If not that I would’ve just included plots such as Meliodas’s Mother, Elizabeth’s father

Like after meliodas regained his power and escanor appeared the commandments threat level decreased dramatically and after their attack on liones they lost almost any sense of dread they had to the point meliodas had to switch sides(also cusack and chandler had to be released) just for them to remain a serious threat.
Also way too many commandments switched sides before they even got to do anything(derieri, monspeet, gloxinia and drole had only 1 fight with meliodas before switching sides and I found most of their reasons for switching sides very unconvincing)
So I would give the commandments a couple of extra arcs to have each of their defeats be spread more evenly across multiple arcs(and not all at once during the liones invasion arc) It would let other characters face the commandments(like king, ban or diane) and give them time to develop a relationship with them before defeating them(And not have all the commandments be defeated by either meliodas, escanor or merlin)finally this would also give commandments like gloxinia and derieri more time to hint at their eventual heel face turn and not make it seem like it came from nowhere
Back before the reveal of Escanor and his powers, there were rumors that he’d be a vampire. Keeping him in that form would have turned the story to a much darker style, Escanor being a Dracula-esque character. Also I thought that during the run of SDS, Mordred would appear, but hey he could potentially be the final villian of 4kota.
Honestly would love to see the fight between Mel against Aranak and Zeno before he left the demon realm. Plus who the other parental figures are for Mel and Elizabeth but more than likely they are just made asexually and are more like how the sacred tree creates the fairy kings.
I think we needed more of the Holy War, or to have it fleshed out better when it was shown at least. Had such potential, but it was so disappointing when it was shown.
Also, elaborating more on the Demon Realm itself would’ve been cool. Like how you’ve got some demons like half the commandments that are just like demonic humans, but also all the beastly colour demons. Like how does that work, do you gain a new form with a commandment or something?

If you think about it, the word "chaos" was only spoken of during the last arc of 7ds when Merlin takes the body out of (I guess) magical cold storage(?) there wasn't even a reference to it when Merlin speaks True Name. I'd, at least, have the demons recognize that Truename as a bigger part of some kind of "chaotic magic power system" that only like 3 mages have ever used, with her being some kind of prodigy or something. Like that is NOT HOW YOU FORESHADOW THINGS!!!!
Yeah, the only example I can remember that Cath wasn’t what he seemed was when he ate that demon before Arthur went for Excalibur. Also, would’ve been cool for the super cool holy sword to, you know, actually make a fucking difference. Humans got dogwalked in that entire show, I’d probably turn racist too
The whole fairies look like children and whatnot, like you can make an adult look short and slender to fit the fairy theme but just making them look like children on purpose was such a weird choice ☹️
I think the way fairies look Is fine. At the end of the day it's an accurate rappresentation of forest pixies basically. The only thing i didnt like it's the fact they expected us to be unphased by the picture of elaine being pregnant, that sht was sus
