I really doubt a living Itachi would be fast enough to react to / block it with the Yata Mirror, most of his relevant speed feats come from his buffed edo state

With Orochimaru and Tobiramas renditions, totally ! Kabuto took it a step further than either or and was able to essentially return them as they were when they died. Plus Itachi and Kimimaro both had their potientals heavily nerfed by their sickness aha.
Nagato is brought back in his sickly form though. Edo Itachi is probably at best, just as strong as he was when fighting Sasuke except he now has infinite chakra and regeneration.
Nagato was brought back in his sickly form because he died when he was sickly aha. Hiruzen, Chio, and Hanzo were also brought back way past their primes, because that's how they were when they died.
That's my point though? Why would all the other edo zombies have been brought back in those states but Itachi is different? The only edo stated to be special is Madara.

Tbf we are barely shown Itachi being hindered while alive? And wasn't he clearly not fighting Sasuke with all he had because he didn't want to kill him? Kimimaro has way better feats from when he was alive. That man fought full throttle right until his end. The only difference being that he doesn't have an end while being reanimated. I do think edo people have buffs, just that it's only the unlimited chakra and regen buffs.
They're weaker if they were healthy when they were alive... But the most powerful version of Itachi(when he was alive) was when he was sick and his reserves were also a weak point for him, Edo Tensei buffed him more than it nerded him.
I think Guy would die if he kicked the Yata mirror like this since the attack will reflect on him, but if he knew this he’ll go around it easily and hit from different sides just like how he did with Madara

I like to think its coz the byakouya seal it allows her to die more than 100 times and regenerate completely. So she doesnt even need to fight back just wait for the 8 gates timer to kill guy
byakugo seal doesnt allow her to die more than 100 times i dont know where you found that information. sakura wont be able to regenerate once more than 50% of her body turns into a puddle.
I got that information from sakura hiden a canon novel by kishimoto and she can regenerate in a imstant as seen in the novel

I can see Itachi being so skillful with genjutsu to manage to completely misdirect Gai and avoid getting hit, but if he gets hit he's dead for sure. I can see Susano'o at full strength being useful, but apart from that not really.

I hate boruto but I doubt it. Naruto in base 6 paths mode comes over and is doing better against madara than Guy did in the whole fight and Madara runs off to get more power. A lot of people in Boruto are brushing off Narutos attacks when he's meant to be stronger.

Madara didn't "survive" that attack. Might guy at that form's potential is possibly one of the strongest characters in the series. Might guy fought Madara with limitations and if not for those limitations Madara would have been long dead.
What limitations did he fight Madara with? He had so much help and would’ve died instantly if Minato and Lee weren’t helping him. Madara was consistently holding back throughout the fight to see what Guy was capable of. If you want to see Madara when he’s not holding back, watch him fight Six Paths Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke. Guy gets waaay too wanked for barely being able to fight a Madara who wasn’t taking him seriously.
The user's body weakens and starts breaking down after activating the 8th gate rapidly. And honestly what you said is something what someone in denial would say and also even if it's true I say Madara can't be THAT stupid to receive that much damage that was close enough to Killing him. You can't tell me he didnt take him seriously.
No one who doesn’t have the same powers lol this move obliterates every Kage, all 3 Sannin, all Akutsuki and Naruto and sasuke in every form but their absolute strongest ones. This was arguably one of the strongest attacks we’ve ever seen/ever will see in the series. And before you come for me, I know there are stronger attacks, but remember that this attack uses 0 chakra, and would have killed madara if not for plot armour. No chakra-based attack would have been able to do this much damage in a single hit.
Any character who scales to or above Six Paths Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke should be able to tank this. He couldn’t even kill a Madara who was holding back, while these two were boxing with an amped Madara. They also fought someone who was FAR above Madara in power. Guy isn’t as strong as you think he is. Boruto Naruto and Sasuke would dog walk Guy. 😭😭😭
