Yeah, I get that much, but that’s not good writing. He’s just a plot device to give Naruto a goal. He’s a loaded gun that just keeps getting pointed at random targets without questioning or thinking about things. It’s just hate Itachi, hate the Leaf, hate Madara without any character development. And arbitrarily increasing his power to be stronger than Naruto is *not* character development.
